We love this site and will be returning.
The owners are very friendly and helpful and assisted us as best they could, even got a cup of tea after driving 6 hours in the rain.
There are plenty of showers and toilets so there's no waiting around in the morning and they're cleaned daily.
The nearest town is Kingsbridge and takes five minutes to drive to and has everything you'll need and is also very charming.
It's our secret base in Devon so don't tell anybody.

This site could be a little gem. It would be good if there were a sign at the entrance. The owners are very friendly and helpful even going out of their way to get something special for me. There seem to be a lot of people living there who go out, presumably to work, daily. The area is really lovely. Unfortunately for us our stay was spoilt slightly due to inconsiderate campers and barking dogs.

This is our fourth visit to The Mounts. The main reason we return to this site it Karen and Keith. We have never met campsite owners like them, they are friendly, go out of their way to make sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay, nothing is too much trouble for them and they treat you like family, we had a few mishaps during this holiday (nothing to do with the site!) We Would like to say a massive thank you Karen and Keith for your kindness and letting our holiday continue.
The Mounts is well situated for the shops in totnes and kingsbridge, and also not far from the beautiful coastal town of Dartmouth. There are also some fantastic beaches nearby. Karen and Keith's knowledge of the area is immense and they quite happily recommend places for you to visit.
The toilets and shower blocks are kept clean, and there is a small but well stocked shop on site. If what you need isn't in the shop, Karen and Keith will make sure you get it!
I would definitely recommend this site, for its location, spending a relaxing day on the site, and for it's fantastic owners. Hope to see you soon !

Excellent site, and what makes it stand out from most is the camp site owners, very friendly nothing too much trouble, will make sure it is on our list of call back sites, we haven't toured in this area too much but have found that it is convenient for most of the touristy areas, but also if you just want to chill the peace and quiet is in abundance, the shop although small is well equipped and if they haven't got it in stock the lovely owners will get it for you, showers have all you need plenty hot water, no push button showers here

First impressions were very good; we arrived as the rain did and were offered free coffee / hot chocolate in the reception area. The friendliness of the owners was a real highlight. We had plenty of space for our group of 7 which made it fantastic value as you pay a pitch price not per person. There was also space in the middle for the kids to play. The pitch itself was level although very bumpy. This was solved by bringing back large flat stones from Slapton beach to act as coasters / pan stands / stove props. The toilet / shower / washing up facilities were good, plentiful and clean as long as you mind sharing with moths / daddy long legs. The location is good in terms of it being near a town and a variety of quiet (non-resort type) beaches but make sure you factor in plenty of travel time; even if you're not driving a motorhome / towing a caravan you're likely to get stuck behind one.
The big bins were overflowing and swarmed with wasps but as they were nowhere near the pitches this only mattered when you were actually taking your rubbish there.
Overall this a lovely laid back, friendly site. It's not luxurious enough for me to consider it a main family holiday but it has been great for a few days away. Thank you Karen and Keith.

We have just returned from a 10 visit to Devon, chose to stay at Mounts Farm because it seemed central to the places we wanted to visit. Easy site to find, very easy access - no narrow lanes to negotiate with the trailer.
Warm welcome on arrival and offered a choice of pitches. Showers large, FREE and very clean, not modern but obviously recently redecorated, indoor washing up/ laundry room- godsend as couple of wet mornings. Shop is small but has all the basics.
Visited Dartmouth (quaint but parking is not easy), Salcombe ( no parking, very expensive shops but lovely watching all the boats in the estuary ) and our favourite was Kingsbridge - proper little shops, the dreaded Tesco if you need it! Lovely harbour with nice walk around the quay. Lucky enough to have a couple of beach days - tried out Bigbury and Bantham - both stunning. Last night on site we had an Indian meal delivered - not just to the site but right to our pitch!
Loved the area - really want to try and visit again in the very near future, will definitely be going back to this site.

Looked around south hams Devon for a seasonal pitch. The final one we discovered was at Mounts Farm. As soon as we met the owners we felt welcome and moved on the next day (seasonal). They make you feel so welcome. A lovely homely site, all people on there are so friendly and helpful. We have spent 5 weeks already in sun and rain and enjoyed every minute. Anything you need you only have to ask. There isnt a playground as such but the kiddies we have seen have loved it. If you need anything at all they go out of their way to get it whether it be an item of food not in the shop or something which you forgot to bring for camping etc.
The showers and toilets have just been renewed and new hardstandings were installed last winter. Great place to be. Kingsbridge 5 mins away, Dartmouth, Salcombe, and an assortment of lovely beaches.

Stayed for a fortnight in August, central to so many beaches and attractions we had trouble trying to fit in all we wanted to do. Will definitely be returning to this site - clean showers (absolutely huge and free), nothing on meters - makes a welcome change! and everyone - owners and other campers were very friendly and laid back.
On arrival we were offered a choice of pitches, hook-ups were all 16 amp and included in the nightly pitch fee. Even the kids were chilled out! On-site shop is small but carries a good range of camping and food basics- not overpriced either. All said a good site, will definitely be returning.

Visited the site for one week half of which the weather was appalling. The second slightly higher part of the site remained reasonably well drained.
There were three or four units on the site which seemed to be running a roofing business in situ. There were regularly 2 or 3 vans parked as well as private cars. The majority of the site was mainly filled with storage or seasonal pitches. Most of the stored vans looked in need of some serious TLC
The rubbish collection area was poorly managed with the bins been ignored and rubbish bags piled over the area although this did improve at the end of the week.
The electricity supply was an excellent 16A
The shop was not open during our visit.
The toilets were old but kept clean.
The site owners were helpful and pleasant on arrival advising us on the best place to pitch.
Overall a site we would use for short term stopovers but I would not use it as a main holiday centre.

The mounts campsite in kingsbridge. Our whole family think that this campsite is wonderful, very homey and friendly a very child friendly place and for the family dog .
The toilets and showers were keep clean and the campsite shop was very good value for money.
The owners only live around the corner so if you have any problems they aren't hard to find. We will be coming back again in fact its already booked
