I can only totally agree with the other reviews left by my fellow visitors to this fantastic site! There is not much I can add. The cynic inside me may have suspected some kind of conspiracy but I'm delighted to say this is NOT the case in any shape whatsoever.
All the previous reviews relating to the wonderful Kathy and Dave were totally reflective of my own experience during my stay. Kathy and Dave truly deliver a unique experience which we will not forget.

Back again for our 2nd year - so difficult to improve on what's already been written about this lovely bit of paradise. The hosts Kathy & Dave are the kindest loveliest people you will ever meet and go out of their way to make your visit so extra special.
Arriving brings nothing but a huge smile to our faces and leaving brings sad faces. If you plan to stay overnight or for a couple of days - be prepared to stay longer, you just won't want to leave.

We do enjoy our trips to France and have met lots of wonderful people, but the 'cherry on top' are the English couple who run a small campsite in a tiny village called Fosse de Tigne in an area where they make fantastic (but not expensive) Anjou wines.
Kathy & Dave are wonderful hosts and treat their campers as family. We are very choosy about the sites that we use on a regular basis but the Kathy and Dave site is just so special. They ensure that customers are entertained and also want to support the local commerce. This means that they organise trips to nearby restaurants where the good food is so economical and they also encourage us to visit the local wine maker in his ancient cave. For those who like Loire wines this is a real pleasure.
When we are not being treated to meals out, Dave lights the communal BBQ and we have a very sociable lunch. For us this is French caravanning at its best.

It is difficult to add to the overwhelmingly positive reviews of this site, other that add the service offered by the convivial hosts remains at the same high standard.
We are enjoying another eight nights camped in the orchard in the very best of company and have joined our hosts in a lunch out, wine tasting and their BBQ lunches. We now have sampled both an early and late season stay.
The site has 6 pitches all with EHUs, consistent inclusive WIFI and is equally suitable for tents, caravans and motor homes. There are twin cubical indoor WCs, one with a shower, plus a kitchen area; all kept nice and clean.
This site offers the chance to unwind in good company created by the small gathering of campers and so ably hosted by the owners.
It would form an excellent first venture into France, just as well as a welcomed unwinding refuge for regular travellers.
We understand the 'season' runs from late May till the end of September.
IMO pre booking is very advisable as it has a loyal clientele and has limited capacity, get a slot and it is hard to imagine it will not be a memorable break for the right reasons. Can become addictive.

This is the first review of a campsite that I have ever written, but this place is so special that it deserves a write up.
We love sites that are quiet, calm, peaceful and small. This is all of those and we have been fortunate to find a variety of sites, over the years, that have these attributes.
What makes this site totally unique is that Kathy and Dave make you feel so very welcome. They provide an opportunity to get to know their French village and the people within it. They will organise for you to go to local restaurants with them, and fellow interested campers, for authentic, good value, French cooking. They will take you to the local winery so that you can purchase wine straight from the vineyard. They will light their BBQ and invite you to join them for a lazy lunch.
Kathy and Dave are the perfect hosts because they welcome you to their corner of France and make you feel part of the family, but equally if this isn't for you, then they leave you to simply enjoy the wonderful views and the peace and a quiet. You truly can please yourselves.
We visited for the first time in July and and had to come back in September as we enjoyed ourselves so much.
Visiting this site is a unique and wonderful experience and makes you feel warm in your tummy that such places exist.

Oh we loved this place! Had we not already made plans to see other parts of the area we would have stayed for our whole holiday. The peace, the quiet, the beauty and the friendliness of the wonderful Kathy & Dave is a 10, 10, 10! Upon arrival we were invited to the 'bar' for a welcome drink and then later taken to wine tasting in the village. The following day, a 'group' barbeque.
Kathy & Dave are the perfect hosts. Kathy will do any washing (for a small fee). Toilet/showers warm, clean and comfortable. Communal kitchen area with fridge. La Fosse de Tigne is a tiny village, very pretty with a beautiful chateau. Can't wait to return!

Stayed in July, if you like Caravan club hideaway sites, you will love this one.
We stayed for 2 weeks with other members of our family, so didn't take part in group barbecues, though I know we would have been made welcome. Lots of places to visit within an easy drive, although we did find the roads around the sites immediate area a little busy, we saw 3 Cars one morning.
Kathy and Dave take you wine tasting down in the village, and kindly bring your purchases back, should you make any, very reasonable prices, when you have sampled them all you, you must pop in and have a drink with your hosts, perhaps one for the road!
Go on give it a try.

We take our motorhome every year to France and always have a fantastic holiday. I cycle and Jean does her needlework, but the 'anchor' is always to spend 4 or 5 nights with Kathy & Dave.
Their site is unique because all their clients are not customers but friends and after a year or so, when they get to know you, the campers become part of their family. Not only that but they encourage campers to support local business (cafes, Boulanger, wine cave etc. ).
We have been using the site for many years and are always amazed by the friendly hospitality we receive.

We were sited alongside Ken and Ruth's caravan in July of this year. Read their report and the super one below it by Dixiecamper. He has said it all! All their comments I would heartily endorse. A great little site, quiet except for the stone curlews at night - a lovely sound to go to sleep to. Dave helped me with the loan of tools to repair my fridge door handle. Nothing is too much trouble for Kathy and Dave. Don't miss the wine tasting or the meal at the hotel in Tigne - amazing value for 4 courses and wine at 12. 50 euros. We loved it - and the many Châteaux we were able to visit whilst there. Looking for a small, quiet site near the lovely towns of the Loire - look no further!

This was our second stay. The entrance is a little tight but even with my long caravan I made the turn in one go. The pitches are located in a small orchard and there are two available in full sun. We were greeted like old friends and both the owners were obviously pleased to see us. This is a very sociable site and the owners go out of their way to try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. They often have a communal BBQ and organise trips to local ( inexpensive ) restaurants. You can opt in or out to suit yourself. They make sure that you know of local events and we have attended fetes in the nearby villages. If you are looking for peace and quiet look no further. The site is very rural. This is an adults only site - which we prefer. The facilities are very good. There is a kitchen with fridge and toilets and shower for use by the campers. The owner will even let you use her washing machine ( for a small fee )There is WiFi access on the site. We have met good friends here and will be back again. Thank you for making our holiday a bit special.
