Just had a long weekend break on Goodwin Park. A warm welcome when we arrived set the standard for the weekend. The toilet/shower block was spotless every time we used it, there was plenty of hot water in the free showers. The only downside was there were only two showers, we didn't need to queue but other people did. The site is close to all the amenities of Chapel St Leonard's with plenty of bars and places to eat. The pitches are spacious, we had a hard standing pitch that had hedges on three sides which made it feel private. Our pitch had a drinking water tap and waste water point as well as a grassed area where we could sit on an evening. We will definitely return to Goodwin Park.

This was our first outing in our recently purchased motorhome. If every site is as welcoming and organised as this then we will be happy people, the showers and toilets were absolutely spotless, the pitches well laid out with loads of space. Also very handy for local amenities and shops. Nothing on site to entertain children but the beach and arcades are only a short walk down a level road. Altogether a pleasant stay.

This was our first trip out with a caravan and were a little anxious. I rang the site and asked if it would be possible to go earlier than the 11am book in to enable us to miss the traffic.
They were really helpful and found us a piece of grass to park up on until our pitch became available. We really appreciated this.
The site is really clean and well presented, with toilets and showers cleaned regularly and in very good order. The pitches are spacious and well maintained. Would recommend.

We made a last minute weekend booking here to take advantage of the Indian Summer we had at the end of September/beginning of October and had a lovely 2 days away.
The site itself is easy to find, immaculately kept and lovely for a 2/3 day break but I wouldn't want to spend a week there, not with young children anyway as there is nothing there other than the toilets/showers/reception.
But for 2 nights it was lovely, our pitch was flat and spacious and they're well laid out in bays rather than higgedly piggledy. The only criticism I would have of our pitch is that it was very near to the main road which runs across the top of the camp site - we thought the traffic noise might not be so bad during the night but it didn't seem to quieten down very much at all which kept me awake. Ear plugs solved that on the 2nd night!
We didn't see any staff other than they guy who checked us in at reception, but he was friendly and polite.
It's predominantly used by caravanners - other than a trailer tent we were the only other people in a tent and it was fairly full.
The toilets/showers were of a high standard (and free which is always a bonus!), and very clean - there are only 2 showers in the ladies but I barely saw anyone else in there - maybe because everyone else was in caravans they used their own facilities?
There are also 2 washing up sinks with ample hot water, in a separate room with 2 washing machines and tumble driers. We didn't use them but they seemed to be good value - £2. 75 for a wash (including wash powder) and 75p for the tumble drier
There were plenty of 'service points' dotted around with drinking water taps, waste water facilities (not for toilet waste, there's somewhere else for that) and a large dustbin. Nowhere to recycle anything though which I was surprised at?
A lot of the other guests on site were regulars and they were all very friendly, and made a fuss of our 4 year old each time they passed (our pitch was right next to the exit barrier so there was a lot of people passing throughout the day and evening, but that didn't bother us, it was nice having a chat with them)
The beach and all the shops/cafes etc are a leisurely 15/20 minute stroll away, and there are some beautiful beaches - beware of the dog poo though!
All in all a lovely quiet site, very well laid out, immaculately kept, but nothing else to do on site. If this is what you're after then you'll love it. But if you want a shop, playground etc then there are other bigger (and probably noisier!) sites in close proximity.
We paid £34 for 2 nights including hookup and an extra £5 to stay until 5pm on our last day which was great considering we only live an hour away
Would we come again? Yes for a weekend, but we'd request a pitch away from the road

Good location for the surrounding towns. Good location for Chapel St Leonards being able to walk to the near shops, restaurants and Amusement centres.
Nice flat site and well maintained. Toilet block was good but due to being August was over used and maybe abused by the users due to the mess of toilet roll on the floor and none in the dispensers.
It felt like only one member of the family was doing all the work, reception, filling up toilet roll dispensers etc.
We think a little more Customer Care and Service would make this site a lot more user friendly.
Overall not bad and probably would use again but out of the Summer season.

What a lovely campsite!
The perfect place for a holiday. A little piece of heaven.
We were in a field the opposite end to the toilets and still only took 2 mins to walk to. The campsite is set out in bays of upto 10 caravans.
A lot of caravans are seasonal and 3 of the 5 in our bay were shut up so really quiet. All caravans are placed around the edge of the bay so there was plenty of grass in the centre and no ball games allowed so very peaceful.
The toilets and showers very clean, always being cleaned and the 2 showers were great.
You get a key fob which is needed to get into the park and the toilets.
Reception staff were very helpful.
A long walk to the beach but we drove into Chapel St Leonards village and took the dog onto the beach - hardly anyone on the beach at all.
Visit Skegness Stadium - stock cars - for a great night out.
We'll be back next year !

Excellent campsite, this was our second time here. We arrived after very quickly leaving a campsite we had booked into. We phoned them up and we were there in half an hour no problems what so ever.
The ley fobs for the barriers and toilets make everything seem secure, it is right on the bus route which are every 10 minutes or so, didn't drive once over the weekend.
The showers and toilets are very good, even though they only have 2 showers never had to wait to use them.
Staff all very friendly, would definitely go back.

This is a really nice site. Well landscaped and maintained. Toilet block and facilities are excellent and kept clean.
Regrettably we were pitched close to the road which was noisy, but this really was the only downside to our stay at Goodwin Park.
Great comms before arriving by email, easy book in and pitch was a good size.
Close to bus stops to get around. There is a pub next door which is just far away enough not to be noisy but only 5 mins walk where we had breakfast which was excellent value. Turn left out of the gate and it's on the LHS. So based on the breakfast being good possibly main meals are ok as well?
Chapel St Leonards was kind of 'shut' when we went in mid May which was a shame so we visited Skegness which was very much open.
Great site and one we would definitely return to prefably away from the road though next time.

Second stay at this campsite and can highly recommend it. The grass pitches are well maintain, the toilets are all ways clean. Didn't seem to close the toilet block for cleaning on this trip. Reception staff very friendly, freezer available for ice packs. Short walk into chapel for shops, pub and beach. Dogs welcome on site as long as well behaved and cleaned up after! Only fault to write about is the lack of late entry to site 8pm is the latest you can check in.

If caravan sites had a rating from 1 to 5 stars 1 been bad and 5 been excellent then this site would come in as a 5. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the toilet and shower blocks are spotless and yes the showers are free.
We had a hard standing plot with our own water supply and waste drainage point so filling water barrels for that weekend was a thing of the past.
There are plenty of pubs within walking distance and the beach just a 15min walk or 5 min car ride. You can also get the bus just outside the site which run every ten or so minutes throughout the day, ten minutes away from Ingomells and about 20 minutes from Skegness.
If you are going to Chapel St Lenoards then give this site a go you will not be disappointed.
