This really is one of the loveliest sites we have ever stayed at. The facilities were basic but more than adequate and clean.
The site has a strict quiet time from 9pm to 7. 30am which was respected by all while we were there and so the site was blissfully quiet and calm. That said our 7yo had plenty of space to run round playing with the other children on the site.
Yes the trains pass but are not obtrusive at all and we were quite near the tracks.
The location is fab for all things 3 peaks and we did Wearnside this time but will definitely return to tackle Pen-y-Ghent and Ingleborough in the future and will stay at Cragg Hill Farm when we do.

A great campsite offering good facilities and lots of space. Train line nearby but not an issue for us at all.
Good views across to Pen-y-Ghent from the site, and very close to the river.
Lovely path into Horton in Ribblesdale and beyond. Excellent value site!
Very enjoyable stay.

Called last minute in a bank holiday on the off chance that a space was available. What luck!
Big fields for you to pitch up in, each field had toilet facilities and drinking water.
At the top was the hot water and showers. Lots of walks to do nearby, the train line runs along side the farm and you get some noise but not really enough to disturb you.
Lovey service and a good site,
Wouldn’t hesitate to book again if I’m that way :)

Excellent stay for two nights to walk the three peaks before Summer's end. Very calm and relaxed campsite with all the basic necessities.
All toilets and showers were very clean and well supplied. There was plenty space for us to pitch up 2 tents and a campervan and for us to have our own little space, considering all things Covid-19, this gave us peace of mind.
Owners were also very accommodating as we ended up travelling with one extra person in our group and this wasn't a problem.
Only minor disappointment was there were no fire pits so we couldn't start a fire to keep warm by. Apart from this, the value for money was really excellent!
A great little spot by the river and walkable to Horton-in-Ribblesdale to start the 3peaks! Will be returning to for more exploring of the dales.

Excellent camp site. Very clean, lots of hand sanitiser. Plenty of toilets and showers with hot water all day.
Lovely views, walks down the river straight from the site.
Kids loved playing and fishing in the river.

Fantastic value for money, looks like they're putting more toilet blocks around the site so improving.
Always clean and tidy, bins emptied regularly. Lots to explore in the area Malham Cove, Ingleton Falls etc. Pubs within walking distance, always a bonus.
Only downside is the shower block is undercover but opens up straight to the outside world, don't shower on a windy day as its quite breezy 😂
Certainly won't put me off going though at £5pp, pn bargain 👍

My second stay at Cragg Hill Farm, and again an enjoyable one. Friendly and helpful owners, a nice site with showers and toilets that are kept clean, the site generally is also kept clean and tidy. Quiet time rule between 9pm and 7:30am seems to work.
Plenty of space to choose where to pitch up. Great surroundings and in walking distance of Pen-Y-Ghent and Ingleborough paths.
Train station is also close by as well as the river allowing children (and adults) to go for a paddle. Reasonably priced too at £5 per night per person.
Will definitely return.

We stayed at Cragg Hill Farm as a group of 6 in 3 different tents and we had a great time. The site is spacious, so there was room to play some cricket and other games without getting in the way of others. BBQ and small fires are permitted as long as they are off the ground.
The facilities are basic but all in working order. There are two toilet blocks and one shower block. Showers were lovely and warm with great air pressure.
The location is perfect for those doing Pen-y-gent/ 3 peaks. The nearest pub is a short walk. We ate at the Knights Table (approx. 30 min walk away) and it was really tasty!
Lots of shops etc in Settle which is a 10 min drive from the campsite.
