We really enjoyed our stay here and slept well to the sound of trickling water in the nearby stream.
Nice laid back atmosphere and everyone seemed to respect the natural setting and the sound of nature.
Bike friendly owner is a nice chap too.

Pleasant site by the river, right next to the alternative Technology Centre and a 2 minute drive from Dyfi Bike Park.
Very quiet site and the facilities were basic but serviceable and clean.
Will definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

Lovely shower, good toilets and washing up facilities.
Pouring rain so hard to comment on the ambiance haha!
Nice hosts but lots of caravans rather than tents

Superb location, owner friendly and obliging, simple no frills site offering great value for money.
No guest internet but owner willing to share his own internet password, to be used in close proximity to the house.
Take all your food with you, no local shops within easy reach.
Ideal for a visit to the Centre for alternative Technology, located next door to the campsite.
Perfect no frills, no hassle campsite.
Highly recommended.

This site has so much potential but is sorely let down by the dirty facilities. Shower tiles are very mouldy in places, especially around the ‘on’ button tile (where you have to touch).
The shower curtains are covered in very obvious mould too. Toilets, floors etc are pretty grim (and yet they look relatively new). An hour a day of cleaning, a bit of bleach to kill the mould and new shower curtain every month or two would make the world of difference.
I’m all for water saving but the timing for the showers (the hot and cold are back to front so run the cold, if you want a hot shower … I suspect this was deliberate humour on the part of the site owner but have nothing to substantiate that ….
It didn’t bother me and did make me giggle) is ridiculously short. I think around 3 to 5 seconds (estimated / not timed) meaning you have to keep hitting the mouldy button with your eyes closed / full of soap.
I found it quite yuck to shower in there and only did it once choosing to stay dirty on our second day instead as I couldn’t face the mouldy shower curtain cling (the cubicle is quite small). If it was me I would ditch the curtain altogether, it isn’t needed as there is a locking door.
Now the positives …. The location is fabulous, the sound of fast flowing river is glorious and completely drowns out any road noise.
The walks around the area are totally gorgeous, it’s easy to find and it’s centrally placed for visiting all the local area has to offer.
If it was clean, I would come back again and again as it has the potential to be completely charming. The decrepit caravans mentioned in other reviews sound much worse than they really are … they are perfectly fine, not in any way offensive and nothing a bucket of soapy water wouldn’t solve. Plus there are only perhaps 3 dotted around.
The site is plenty big enough to find a bit of personal space too. With no marked pitches (which I like). There isn’t a green static “holiday park” caravan or perfectly manicured lawn to be seen and the site has (in a positive way) a slightly wild feel to it.
I would love to visit again and will give it another try within a month as I’m due to be in the area again.
If it’s clean, I will be a regular for sure.

Nice valley location in flat field.
Bit bothered by midges as parked under trees near river after very hot day with nil wind.
Neighbouring tent party played thudding music until well after 10:30pm.
Otherwise straightforward, clean facilities and convenient for visiting CAT.

Good prompt response from owner of booking.
Site in a beautiful location next to the river.
The farmer owns the fields so great to play in.
Toilets and showers clean.
Not the sites fault. But be prepared for midges.

Charming simple campsite by the river -- perfect for a quick dip.
Just what a campsite should be.
Slightly noisy road over the river, but issue.
Great value
