This is such a wonderful campsite. Water, electric hookups, toilets (clean ones), hot showers, bin and disposals, plus an amazing view of forest and mountains!
Walking distance to CAT and only a 10 mins drive to the nearest town.
The owner is so helpful, and great for a little chat.
I will definitely make this my regular camping spot, so hope to be here every month! 😁

We were a large group and Ralph set aside the far field for us, overlooking the river.
The site is comfortable and peaceful, and the shower/washing up block is clean and functional.
We had a wonderful weekend, and enjoyed walking in the hills and having access to CAT.
We would definitely recommend this campsite :)

Llwyngwern is super convenient for students study at CAT like me. Facilities are simple and no frills, but if you're up at CAT all day that's all you need.
The proprietor was kind enough to offer a small discount to me as a CAT student too, which was a welcome surprise.
The toilet shower block didn't seem to be cleaned very often, and there were no equipment left to do it ourselves. Perhaps a broom, mop and bucket would be handy.
The site is well laid out and benefits from a beautiful river along one side. There's a number of permanent resident caravans which look a bit abandoned which is a shame.
Overall, although it could do with some TLC, it's a great spot and the benefits outweigh the concerns. Will stay again.

Great campsite, nice hot showers and clean facilities.
Nice flat pitches with ample cold water taps to fill your kettles.
Great spot to access the Dyfi forest for MTB, running and, walking and Machynlleth is only a short drive away.

Open site fairly level but may need chocks. Quiet - able to have log fire/bbq
Plenty of water points, electric hook ups.
Clean WC & showers plus hot water washing up area.
Pleasant owner.
Very convenient for CAT and Corris Centre.
Lovely walks through fairly level fields by riverside.
Not far from Machynlleth or Tywyn and RSPB Ynys Hir.
Downside - no 4G ! Therefore a good ‘away from it all’!

Really lovely campsite. Lovely hot showers and clean toilets.
My children (aged 7&9) had plenty of room to use their bikes and kick a football around, they also loved paddling in the lovely river.
A fire pit was loaned to us by the owner free of charge where many campsites I notice will charge.
Centre for alternative Technology is on the doorstep too which we ended up visiting twice!

Decent location to visit surrounding area, Centre of alternative Technology and King Arthur’s Caverns at Corris.
Quiet and by the river, basic amenities but the floor could’ve done with a good mop as it was grubby.
Has huge potential but the seasonal permanent caravans dotted around the site could do with a scrub as they look abandoned.
The porches could do with more definition, it felt like we were parked on a huge gravel car park.

Llwyngwern Farm is a really peaceful campsite.
When we visited, there was one other caravan on the site, and the only noise was from the chickens clucking.
This site is genuinely the quietest, most peaceful, site we have ever visited.
The toilet and shower are clean, with plenty of free hot water.

Beautiful location and friendly welcome on this surprisingly quiet site.
The facilities were not open when we visited so please disregard our rating for them!
