Stayed here for 3 nights during half term school holidays. Smallish field but was very busy, which I suppose is to be expected during the holidays. When we arrived we were showed to the remaining pitches all of which were very uneven/steep. However, we luckily managed to spot a pitch by the wall where there are approx 8-10 levelish pitches, which was free and owner was happy for us to take the pitch. Had this pitch not been available we would have struggled to site our caravan and I think the owners should consider how many caravan bookings they take when the site is busy.
That said this is a lovely little farm site with lots of good walks on the doorstep and within easy reach of Keswick and surrounding area.
Ladies had two showers and 4 toilets, mens had two showers and two toilets plus urinals. Facilities are basic but very clean though a shower curtain between the shower and the changing area in the cubicle could improve them. 20p for the showers lasts a good while. Toilet paper is not always on hand so make sure to take your own.
There is also a room with a toaster, microwave and freezers which is a great facility particularly for those in tents. We had a fire in an off the ground barbeque which seemed to be fine.
There are no play facilities but the children on site were all happily playing with each other and a small ropeswing which was attached to a tree at the far end of the field.
The site is just off the A591 but there was no road noise and the site went very quiet at about 10pm.
All in all for £13/night for a caravan with hookup and 2 adults it is a bargain and we will return providing we can secure a level pitch.

Stunning location, the scenery changes all the time. The farm owners are very friendly & laid back & prices very reasonable. Shower & toilet block very clean, 20p meter for shower gives you plenty of time to shower & they're warm. Only 2 showers could be a problem in busy periods but we didn't have any problems.
Located on the doorstep of Thirlmere Dam, another stunning view. Quiet site a short distance from Keswick. We visited Stone circle - another stunning view, surprise view, Mary Mount hotel where we watched lots of birds feeding as we relaxed & enjoyed our coffee. Definitely a site to return to.

Been here this bank holiday weekend. What a lovely campsite at a great price. Wish we could of stayed longer, but will return. Very clean toilets and showers. The scenery is magnificent too. Sylvia is a lovely lady who owns it, very helpful.

A hidden gem! Quiet, clean and cheap.
Stayed here 2 adults and 3 kids aged 3, 11 and 14 and we all had a brilliant time. The campsite has everything you need. The toilet block is nice and clean with lovely warm showers (20p for 15 mins). There is an indoor washing up room and another room which has a fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster for customers to use at no extra cost. There are some tree rope swings to keep the kids entertained.
The owners of the site are really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning and would recommend this campsite.
My only advice if you choose to stay here is to take a mallet.

Our family of four camped here for 10 days and enjoyed every minute. We pre-booked our pitch which was necessary as some days were quite and some busy. Couldn't believe the costs were only £12 per night including hook-up. We expected some hidden fees on departure but Sylvia actually asked for less! Other regulars who camp here said Sylvia used to charge more and has recently reduced her prices as there was no 'need' to charge that much.
On arrival, Sylvia greeted us and showed us where to pitch. All of the standard ones are fairly flat but there's also the option to pitch up on higher platforms on her fields if you want to be separated from the main site (which is fairly small anyway).
Site is right in the middle of some impressive mountains and is a ten minute walk to Thirlmere lake. Sylvia recommended a perfect little walk with our 4 and 7 year olds through her picturesque farm where' the A word' was filmed, some easy mountain climbing through a forest then gentle walk back.
There was no play area on the site but all kids entertained themselves running around the hills and playing on a rope swing. Basic but clean facilities. 4 toilets and 2 showers in the ladies. Showers use 20p. Indoor washing up sinks with hot water, microwave, toaster, fridge and freezer. Lots of recycling bins.
Will definitely stay here again. The only criticism I have is there should be toilet roll holders as the tissue was always slacking wet sitting on top of the toilet cistern because of condensation, plus a few people kept walking off with it to stop this happening so tissue was only available first thing in the morning.
Overall a fantastic site with a mix of D of E campers, tents, trailers, caravans and statics. 5 minute drive to Keswick and 20 minute walk to lovely local pub!

Had a lovely night at this site and only cost £9. Basic facilities on site toilets, showers and wash up area. No camp shop or club but Keswick is only a few miles up the road.
Owner was very friendly and so were the other campers/ caravanners. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a nice quiet site with fantastic views. Maybe could do with a campsite shop for those on walking holidays but didn't affect us as we were driving.

Came across this site whilst out walking & thought it was a nice location for a stay. The fees are about the best you will find in the lakes.
The facilities are not basic but cleaned regularly & have additional items such as freezers & microwave for site use. It does not have its own web site but I guess the info you need can be found on UK campsite.
The site is small & compact with a mixture of tents / caravans & statics. Intend to return when in the north lakes. A site shop would be a nice addition.

After visiting on a recommendation from a friend, we were pleasently surprised at the whole experience. The facilities are great, nice hot shower which takes 20p and I had to turn off (not wanting to drain the water for everyone). I must have been in there for 15 good minutes.
The staff were very friendly and helpful which always makes little breaks feel special.
One policy of 'no loud noises after 11' wasn't fully policed, however as the general atmosphere was so friendly it didn't bother our party.
We made our way into Keswick, and what a lovely place. Great ales, nice food as friendly folk that even Duncan Bantertyne could enjoy.
Getting a taxi home was easy as we waited around 5 mins, then bosh. 1 right away.
The only negative would be being awoken in the early hours be a young man vomiting near the tent. I fear he had a little too much to drink the night before.
Fantastic place would definitely visit again.

The camp was quiet, clean and well laid out, facilities were more than adequate. Campers had use of many household gadgets including washing machine with microwave and toaster on hand, the showers were hot and toilets cleaned daily.
The locality provided us with a realm of walks and the scenery was breathtaking.
Our dogs were welcome but had to be kept on leads at all times as livestock in nearby fields and in the adjoining farm.
Plenty of room for the children to play.
There was an excellent pub not too far away which served amazing food.
My only criticism, that a farm shop for provisions would be useful.
I will certainly be returning and will definitely recommend High Bridge End Farm.

Stayed for one night in October. Myself and my son were made very welcome. Lovely site in a great location, first stayed there over forty years ago and the place still has the same friendly welcome.
Great walks and views all around. Even though the weather was terrible, the scenery did not disappoint, especially the waterfalls.
Site facilities are basic, but very clean. Nice powerful showers, which is a blessing after a long walk.
Will definitely be back soon.
