Been to this site a few times, both just me and the wife, and with the kids. Brilliant little site for that relaxing escape. Set across the road from the farm, but does not disturb, either with noise or smells, with a hilly area to the back where tents can pitch well it TFS way of anything for that 'wild camping' feel.
Also a little rope swing for the kids. Only a few minutes drive from Keswick town centre. Has shower and toilet facilities and although I use caravan facilities, my wife tends to use on site facilities and had no issues with them. There are various cycle routes too.
Ideal site for those wanting a quiet break away, cyclists, walkers, tenters and caravans exist in harmony.
Process are very reasonable, we paid around £15/night with 4 kids and hook up. Might have been slightly less.
As I said we've been a few times and will continue to do so.
Only down fall is signal is non existent, for TV (standard aerial not satellite - we don't have a satellite but others had theirs up) or phones. Not faulting the site at all, but just be aware if you usually promise someone you'll let them know you've arrived safely or taking grand children and want to phone mum and dad etc etc, you probably won't be able to on site

Stayed 8 nights in mid August, thought this was a great site and location. Very relaxed place, lovely owner and cheap - £88 for 4 with electric.
No issues at all with the showers and toilets, have seen a lot worse. When it got busy we were a bit crammed in, very close to neighbours which was fine except one night when they had friends stay which was late and noisy.
We would definitely stay again.

Recently returned from High Bridge End Farm and some glorious weather as well!
We received a friendly welcome and had pre-booked a pitch with electric. When we arrived on the Friday afternoon, we had to tightly squeeze our not so large tent between 2 caravans. Not ideal at all and thankfully our 'very close' neighbours were quiet.
As the weekend went on, the site became packed, especially with a noisy crowd in the middle of this small site. The tents and other units were just crammed onto the site, far too many for comfort.
The toilet and wash up block was clean and functional with hot showers, fairly basic but OK.
There's very little else to report on for this site, as it is very small. There are some good nearby walks and Keswick is about 6 miles away.
All in all a clean and basic site with electric pitches that we would re-visit, but avoid busy holiday periods like the plague.

We have been a number of times to this site and always left with a smile on our faces. The owner, Sylvia? lovely women who has a memory like an elephant. Always remembers my wife and family and greats us every time so if you stay make sure you behave if you plan a return trip!
Stayed this year for five nights for £25 all in (my son and I, wife was working). Showers clean/functional but busy so plan your showers before everyone else. Make sure you have 20pences for the shower. Just round the corner for Keswick, Helvelyn ( a brilliant hill walk)! and all other tourist attractions.

Small, picturesque site.
Very friendly owner, pitch where you like, very laid back.
Toilets/showers as previously mentioned are spotless but certainly no home from home, very functional but they do everything you need so nothing to complain about.
We couldn't find a local shop so ended up in Keswick at the co-op for supplies they operate a disc system for parking (similar to disabled discs where you show your arrival time). The discs are available inside the shop.
We gave our dog a run in a morning on the field behind the statics where there was no livestock so she could have a mad run about. Obviously it being the lake district there are no end of options for further walks, but if your dog is like ours (mental until that first run) you might need the space.
Prices were very reasonable:
Caravan/motorhome/trailer tent (incl 2 adults) £9 Children (8-14) £1 Awning £1 Electric £3 Tent £4 Additional adults £3. 50 Showers 20p metered
Access to site is easy although there are a few bends on the main roads that were a bit scary for me as a new tower!

Super little site, especially for 4pounds per adult per night! Went with our toddler, dog and another couple - had 2 tents and a gazebo and paid only £16 per night in total - toddler, dog and gazebo were free so amazing value esp given keswick is only a short drive away and the spectacular scenery. We had a super time despite the typical lakes rainy weather (and gales etc!).
Site actually felt relatively sheltered from worst of the winds due to the surrounding hills. Ground was hard from about a few inches down which wasn't great considering we'd forgotten our mallet but would have been fine if had it. Ground was a bit muddy but the whole week before our arrival was v wet too so to be expected.
Facilities are basic but clean and shower was nice and hot so didn't disappoint for the 20p we paid. Not all loos had loo roll in so recommend taking your own. I did notice a handy plug socket or two in the loos too so you could plug in your own hair drier or straighteners if you needed too.
There's 2 inside washing up sinks and 2 outside ones and (we discovered just as we were leaving) a handy little room with a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer and clothes airer in that I thought was really great.
The lady I spoke when I phoned ahead who was one of the owners was lovely and said just to pitch up when we arrived and she popped over to collect the money in the evening. She was really friendly though did think we were a bit loopy camping in such bad weather!
Its not a luxury site but I'm not a lover of all singing and dancing sites anyway so if like us you like basic chilled camping with amazing scenery you'll like this place.
Shall definitely return when we next go to the lakes.

This is great for tents, and (I think) should not be for caravans. The site is one big hill which, when you get to the top, affords spectacular views.
The owners are great and unusually relaxed for the Lakes. Facilities are very basic, which enhances the place. If you want to bring a smallish tent, camp in the hills, have a fire and relax with no shop or noise, then this is for you. Brilliant.

Just got back from staying 3 nights here in our folding camper. No complaints whatsoever.
£12 per night for my my wife and myself. A little muddy after all the previous weeks rain but that was no problem for us, all the campers in tents looked happy enough as well.
We reported to the farmhouse on arrival and were told to select any pitch we wanted, so we were able to get quite a dry spot by the wall.
The road was next to this wall but traffic noise was not a problem. We will definitely use this site again if we go back to the lakes.

We were mad enough to motorhome (or motor-roam) in the Lakes in June. Two Keswick sites didn't have the time / courtesy to respond to our phone messages left at their invitation. Two had rallies. One was enormous, so we discounted it. The sixth had all its pitches bagged by seasonal caravans. So I was very relieved to get booked in here, by such a welcoming owner, and to find it so convenient to Keswick.
For £11 we had all we wanted: we got to choose our EHU pitch in full sun on fairly flat grass (with newly laid drains)with glorious views to surrounding crags; a freshly painted toilet block (the owners clean it with a hose from the ceiling down, so it's best to go with your own loo roll as what's there may be wet); and good dog walking / swimming at Thirlmere reservoir in one direction, or across the main road beyond the old bridge in the other direction. Lots of walking or cycling possibilities locally too. The few statics are in a neighbouring paddock, but don't block the views or dominate the site. The hill overlooking us was used by small tents. We didn't use the 20p showers, or the campers kitchen (microwave, kettle), or the pot wash, so I can't speak for these. There's basic recycling bins (glass separated from general rubbish).
On Thursday I thought - what a gem of a site, and so quiet too! But sadly the gem was flawed - on Friday four units (about a dozen adults) partied loudly outside until past 1 a. M. Their mob of children were no less rude during the day: one came to our door to stare in while his dog cocked its leg on our steps and the constant screaming by the whole gang with their lack of respect for people's personal space or property meant there was none of Thursday's blissful peace and quiet on Saturday and Sunday.
However, the bad manners of children and their parents aren't the fault of the site, so I'd happily recommend Bridge End for what it offers at reasonable cost. But if you want the relaxing tranquility that we so much enjoyed, it may be best to avoid weekends: we'd readily come back again midweek. Oh- and the midges were atrocious! clouds of them! and biting too.

We literally stumbled upon this site and I have nothing but a great review for it and the owners.
As the last person said, the owners son showed us to the field and we were told to pith where ever we liked. Expecting the worst, it was just £12 a night for our tourer, electric, my husband and I and our 2 children.
What was fantastic is that kids aren't payable until the age of 8.
The toilets and showers were nice and clean, waste disposal, water etc was all near the shower block.
On the hill in front of our van an International group set up camp for the days that we were there. It was lovely to see the women making bread in the morning and night around a camp fire.
The scenery is lovely. Plenty of photo opportunities. I think the site is approx. 4 miles into Keswick.
All in all, I can't recommend this site highly enough.
