We had 2 weeks here and enjoyed every minute. Mike and Kirsty were most helpful lent us maps for our cycling which helped a lot, the NCN 1 goes past the site entrance.
Toilets and showers are kept spotless by Kirsty and they even lent us an aerial as we could not get tv reception on caravan aerial. Would recommend this site to anyone who likes cycling.
Good selection of shops and the local village shop is helpful. The local pub does a good Sunday Roast and there are lots of other good places to eat in the area.

A very clean and tidy site. Quiet and well looked after by the owners who constantly come out to chat with their clients.
Nicely positioned away from main roads and noisy traffic. Toilets and showers exemplary, colourful flowers around 'facilities' area.
Space between units adequate, but could be a little close when site is full.
Happy to recommend this site to anyone.

With out doubt the best site in suffolk, very quiet, very friendly, very clean, very well kept a credit to the owner mike and the lovely kirsty
The only thing wrong mike is to lenient with his staff. There are some very good pubs in the area
Woodbridge/ipswich/felixstowe all have good shopping centre, lowestoft and great yarmouth are only about 1 hour drive away its a great place to stay to see suffolk

Just got back from spending a weekend at this site and can only reiterate what has already been said, it is one of the best kept sites we have stayed on. The owners were very welcoming and the grounds are as already stated in many earlier reviews perfectly kept and even. The showers two in each male & female block were hot free & no dreaded timed button.
There is a well stocked shop 5 minutes walk away. The local pub which was very welcoming and served meals was only 1/2 mile 10 min walk, though if coming back after dark you would need a torch & hi visibility clothing as the walk is mainly in the road. All in all this is a great little site at a real value for money price, with the added bonus of being Adult only, though if you don't want to be too quite at night this is not the place for you as it is a very quiet site.
Will we be going back ? most definitely !

We came to Moat Barn for a weekend break and I would say I totally agree with the previous reviews. The site is beautifully maintained, close mowed lawns level pitches and with no groundsheets allowed it was like walking on carpet. The site seems to be well supervised by the owner who was very friendly and informative of the local area, there are several leaflets of local tourist attractions and he gave us tips on the best places to have a meal locally.
The toilet block consisted of 2 showers and 2 toilets in mens and ladies and an undercover washing up area with one sink, all spotless, good well labelled recycling area. The site has a no children policy which was fine for us. The price was £18 a night including electric and an awning if you used one.
Moat Barn also runs a Bed & Breakfast and we tried the breakfast, choice of Cereal, orange juice, full english, toast marmalade/jam tea/coffee for £7. This was ideal for us as it set us up for our journey home.
Moat Barn is quite near A12 but in a small village with just a pub and village shop, excellent if you like walking but if you want noise and parties this isnt for you. Would we stay here again? definitely.

Booked this site after reading good reviews on this site - would agree with previous reviews. Excellent, clean site. Grass and flowers are beautiful and surrounding countryside is stunning. Set in a lovely suffolk village - Cycled 20miles on country lanes and saw more cyclists than cars. Visited Woodbridge. Didn't have time to visit the Bredfield pub this time but definitely hope to return. Site was perfect for our requirements, clean, strong, hot showers and a friendly welcome.
I guess if there was a small criticism, it would have been handy to have more than one sink for washing dishes, but never had to wait very long and it encouraged conversation!
Thank you for a lovely weekend -hope to return.

Been here many times with our motorhome, now with a caravan, superb site with very friendly owner and the lovely Kirsty!
Small out of the way site, only a mile or so off the A12 but NO road noise, fell asleep this time to the sounds of owls hooting a couple of fields away.
TV reception now very good on digital, was very poor during the old analogue days, owner will lend you an aerial if you only have a crappy Status omni/mushroom type. (88Chs + radio with a Status 535).
Has the added bonus of a superb B&B if you have non-camping friends that want to join you! Then you can join them for a fantastic home cooked breakfast!
As others have said small but perfect toilets & showers, and when will others use a mower that collects the grass cuttings!?!
Quite central for Ipswich, Aldeburgh, Woodbridge etc. Had a great 'full english' at the fishermans cafe hut in Southwold Harbour expensive at £18 for two but it includes toast and a drink!

This is one of the jewels in Suffolk. Small but kept to the highest condition, grass mown and clippings collected. Owner and his wife very friendly and helpful. Pitches are of a good size. Had a meal in the Maybush on the river Deben which was very good. Handy for Aldburgh and Woodbridge. 9. 5 out of 10, probably would benefit from a second washing up sink. There are several public footpaths and bridleways in the are of the site with walks across fields and wooded areas towards Otley.

We have caravanned for 30years and have just found our absolutely favourite site Moat Barn is great so clean and friendly, and we loved it. Loads of hot water fab showers and Kirstie the housekeeper so helpful. We will return. The site is very enviroment friendly, with separate bins for all recycling, lots of rubbish bins all very clean and fresh, no nasty smells, emptied several times daily, bottle bank, lots of hot water for washing up, everywhere is super clean. No children is ideal for us.

A lovely site which the owners obviously take great pride in. Keeping the grass and hedges immaculate.
Its very quiet and the other campers were friendly.
The toilet/shower block is kept in pristine condition, two toilets and two showers each for men and women. I never had to queue for either. The showers are powerful and hot.
Plenty of dustbins and recycling units.
An outside washing up area but it is undercover. Plenty of hot water.
The village shop is open mornings only but you should be able to get anything you may have forgotten and they sell some local produce.
Sizewell beach at Leiston welcomes dogs on the beach and there is a cafe there open until 5.
Would use again.
