We have just returned from a weekend at this site, which we booked last minute. It is a fab site, there is nothing to criticise as far as we are concerned. Quiet, immaculate, good size pitches and facilities first class. The pub was within walking distance, did not try the food, but it was highly recommended.
It is a good area for cycling and lots of lovely places in the area to visit.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. We will certainly return; probably with a few friends in tow!
Loved it!

Excellent little site. I can't understand why the AA have only given it a two pendant award. Facilities were absolutely spotless, always had soap and toilet paper and hot water. The showers were fully adjustable and not those stupid push button type.
Grass was immaculately kept. Site itself was very quiet and relaxing. Set on the edge of the village of Bredfield made you feel as if you were in the middle of nowhere and yet Tesco and fuel station are just a 10 minute ride away.
Park and Ride to Ipswich is only a 10 minute drive away too. Local pub is a 10 min walk or 2 minute car ride away and was very friendly. Village shop is 5 minute walk but is only open in the mornings. Lots of local walks and excellent dog walk just across the road from the site.
Charge for pitch was very reasonable.
Aldeburgh, Wickham Market and Woodbridge are all well worth a visit. All three are different but very picturesque.
All in all a very pleasant site and we will definitely come again.

Booked for 8 nights but stopped for 10. A lovely quiet, friendly well run site not far from A12 with easy access to surrounding villages, beaches & beauty spots.
Shops in nearby Whicham Market plus a Tesco superstore about 5 miles down the A12.
Pub in village now open for drinks & meals.
Mike the site owner never far away & always helpful, very ably assisted by Kirsty & together make a great team.
Facilities well maintained. Limited number of showers & one washing up sink. However even though the site was full never had to queue for these services.
Will definitely return when next in area.

We stayed here for a weekend recently. Me,hubby & 2 dogs. The site is flat, incredibly tidy, and very quiet! The majority of campers were older people, and atmosphere was a tiny bit stuffy sometimes. The owner was very pleasant, we booked in and he showed us to our pitch, and helped us get in position! He showed us where we could find everything, and advised us of a nice dog walk just outside the site, which we used every day for our two!
The best bit of this site was the shower block. There are 2 blocks (male & female) each with 2 loo's & 2 showers & wash basins. The showers were lovely, you can adjust the temperature to suit yourself, and as it was hot while we visited, it was nice to finish with a cold shower to cool you down after you've washed etc. They had handy little baskets for your shampoo, soap etc, and a shower curtain to separate from your dry clothes & towel, which hang on hooks on door. Toilets were always clean, and stocked with loo roll, soap etc. There's also a free hairdryer to use. Although the site seemed fairly full, we didn't have to queue to use the blocks.
Theres a pub in the village, and we went there once, landlord seemed friendly. We visited Aldeburgh, (no dogs allowed on beach until end september), but found ourselves at leiston, on sizewell beach, and dogs allowed on there anytime, miles of dog walking there, and we managed to wear our two out! All in all, a nice site, with electric hook ups, chemical disposal point, and water points, and great toilet blocks!

Two adults and a dog Spent 2 nights here arrived about 7 o'clock and was given choice of pitch. We opted for a pitch with EHU near the entrance
Open farm land at rear, hedges at the front, good size pitch cut grass and flat, bit of traffic noise but you cant have everything. Not many campers on site but lot of caravans pitched but empty.
Toilets spotless. Free hot water good showers and good dog walks. Village pub open now but didn't use.
Very quiet site would recommend

Excellent site. Very pleasant owner. Spotless shower/WC block. Grass cut to perfection. No ground sheets. Very clean and tidy. Quiet area with quaint villages to visit. Excellent for walking/cycling. Local food shop within walking distance open a few hours a day, excluding Sundays. Shopping in nearby Wickham Market and Woodbridge. Main town, Ipswich. Coast, Felixstow, sandy beach.

We booked with several others in January for this August. The site was clean and tidy with some, what appeared, permanently sited touring caravans. The owner was pleasant until he found out we had children with us. He told me and other members of our group, that he would rather have the site as and adult only site but couldn't as yet. We felt uncomfortable on the site, keeping the children in the caravan and quiet as much as possible. The owner charged us all more than originally quoted, even though our Rally Officer did try to fight our cause.
I agree with the other comments. For elderly couples, lovely site, nice views, clean facilities, (local pub still shut)any amount of dogs welcome (no charge) and even a large boat on site

We booked here at short notice, and due to driving from the West Country and getting stuck in a horrible jam we arrived really late, it was dark and way past reasonable checking in time, but Mike the owner was so helpful and didn't make us feel like complete pains!
The site is peaceful, immaculate, the showers and loos are really lovely and clean and well lit, we also paid a bit extra so we didn't have to leave early the next day, but the normal check out time is a very civil 12 o'clock anyway.
We will return to this site frequently I'm sure!

Very nice campsite. It's probably a bit quieter than other sites with additional facilities (shops/bars/pools etc) but this was exactly what we wanted. The site was mostly full of touring caravans, but apparently quite a few were booked in for the whole summer, so it was not actually as full as it looked. There are spaces for tents just by the entrance with electric hookups. The pitch next to us didn't have EHU but it seemed as though the owners had kindly lent them an extension cable as it was left behind when they packed up.
The shower blocks were warm, clean and comfortable (although we visited in August the nights were getting chilly, and I was tempted to linger in the shower block!) Showers were hot, free and unlimited and there was also a free hairdryer. There were only two showers but this didn't seem to be a problem as there were no queues.
There is a nice dog walk just a few minutes away which our dog enjoyed. Although there were quite a few dogs on site they were all well behaved. In fact, all the visitors on the campsite were polite, courteous and considerate which made the whole experience very enjoyable.
As the other reviewers noted, the local pub is being refurbished so we drove a few miles to the Three Horseshoes in Charsfield on the owner's recommendation - very friendly and welcoming with tasty home cooked food (handy hint - the Cottage Pie could almost feed two!)
Overall I would recommend this campsite and we will certainly visit again.

The site doesn't look too promising on arrival as it seems very regimented and not too spacious - but this first impression is misleading. The site is incredibly neat - the tidiest we have ever stayed at - and all the campers, including us, fall into the habit of keeping it that way. The shower blocks and washing up sinks were spotless and the grass was good enough to play cricket on. There were no children on site and it was very quiet and restful.
The only drawback for us was that there was no pub in walking distance, but the very friendly owner told us that it is reopening shortly under new management. There are very nice pubs within a short drive and this part of Suffolk is beautiful (and ideal cycling country).
