We have just returned from a week at this site. We were greeted by Kirsty and shown to our generously sized pitch on closely mown grass.
This is a small site, 33 pitches of which 10 are seasonal. The facilities were spotless, heated morning and evening, with 2 lovely hot showers, no push buttons and free to use. There is plenty to see and do in the area, not far from the coast, or if you like walking, there is Rendlesham Forest.
The park and ride for Ipswich is just down the road, with buses running every 10 mins.
The Coach and Horses in Melton is to be recommended for an excellent meal and service. Reasonably priced and with good sized portions.
Will we be coming back? Yes, most definitely.

Fantastic small site. Exceptionally clean showers and loos and great walks just outside the site.
I will definitely use this site again.
Woodbridge and Wickham Market are worth a visit as is the Greyhound pub - just a short walk over the fields.
Look out for the 5 mile circular walk from Martlesham it is a great way to see the countryside.
Snape Maltings Vintage Market was a highlight as was the Jubilee Fete in Bredfield itself. Wonderful scones.
Lastly do not miss the local shop. Good range of local foods on offer.

Visited this site early December, 2011, stayed for 4 nights. Although having to pitch on the road, not a problem to us or owners, as they had some rain and we didn't wish to spoil the beautifully kept grass. You could not fault the actual site, we met the owner who couldn't be more helpful or friendly, but, our one complaint was the freezing cold toilet/shower block, this we could not use, just too too cold. The write up mentions 'centrally heated' - obviously not in December. Won't be going back unless it is in the summer time.

Yes this site is totally 100% immaculate (I didn't know hedges could be cut with such precision) and there are miles of country walks all round the site.
The local village pub is really friendly and serves decent food and the local shop is well stocked.
The Suffolk coast is only about 15-20 minutes drive and it may be possible to walk to Woodbridge though we didn't get time, its about 5-6 miles away.
If you like your surroundings a little more on the casual side, which in all honesty we prefer, then this may not be for you, though it cannot be denied this site must win awards for military precision and cleanliness.

Never have we seen such a well kept site, the grass the hedges the facilities, the owners really do ensure everything looks at it's best and are very welcoming as well. The value for money here is just fantastic.
We spent two nights here and on the second it was virtually full which just proves the popularity of this site. Although the pitches are fairly close together you don't loose any sense of privacy or space.
The showers are good (just watch out if someone flushes the loo as it can go a bit hot/cold) and along with the toilets have individual lights/fans so no wasted electricity.
We can recommend a visit to Snape Maltings and Sutton Hoo as well as the local village shop just down the road from the site stocked with local produce and all essentials. There is a local pub, we didn't get a chance to visit but I am sure we will next time.
We highly recommend this site and will be returning ourselves.

We booked this site at the last minute, and having read previous reviews we were hopeful of a pleasant stay.
We found this site to be very clean, tidy and very quiet and peaceful, both in terms of the site itself, and also the surrounding countryside. The site was well situated for easy access to visit the many beautiful towns, villages and countryside of Suffolk. As this is an adult only site the peace and quiet is not disturbed.
On arrival we were shown to our level pitch by a very friendly lady. We were also shown where we could take our dogs for walks in the surrounding countryside.
The site has approximately 30 pitches, but as quite a few of these appear to be taken as seasonal pitches, I would therefore estimate that there were no more than 20 people on site on each of the two nights of our stay. Although there were only two washbasins/toilets/showers for each sex there were never any queues. This was also true of the single washing up station.
Everything was kept extremely clean and fellow campers were doing their bit to maintain the cleanliness. The showers are proper power showers where you can adjust the temperature to your personal preference and not of the push button or coin operated type.
If I have to mark the site down for anything it was that the changing/drying area of the shower cubicles are a little on the tight side, with only a foot stool provided rather than a seat but this should not present a problem to the fit and able bodied.
It should be noted however that if you have elderly relatives accompanying you on your travels, the owners of the site also run a B&B from their adjoining home.
It was also refreshing that there was a flat rate of £16 per night for the pitch without having a basic price to which additions are made. Please note however, this campsite only accepts cash or cheques.
All in all a very enjoyable stay, and we would not hesitate to visit again when in the area.

Second time in a couple of months that I've been here, wouldn't go anywhere else. A lovely quiet site out in the countryside with hook-ups and plenty of room between pitches for both tents and tourers with roadways set out between neatly trimmed hedges. The owners couldn't be more helpful and friendly.
The toilet block has 2 cubicles and 2 showers each for men and women and is spotless, as is the washing up area. Recycling facilities are great with plenty of dustbins for normal refuse.
The site is within easy reach of Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, and Ipswich, and further out Gt Yarmouth or Lowestoft. Two zoos are not too far away, Kessingland and Banham, as is Sea Life in Gt Yarmouth, all great days out. There is a local pub in walking distance.
Took my dog and there was a footpath very close by between fields. Didn't see a play area but the Suffolk coastline is not far away.
Can't fault this site for peace and quiet.

Booked this site last minute and we are so glad we were able to stay - what a fab site! Just like the previous reviews, we agreed this site is clean & tidy and peaceful & private. The owners are very warm and welcoming. If they can help - they will.
The toilet & shower block are lovley with plenty of hot water and the recycling is a bounus. No facilities for children, however as ours have just let home, we enjoyed that.
Plenty of cycling & walking opportunities. As we were visiting family in the area we did not do much touring around but we did enjoy the local area and Felixstow. Tescos about 10 miles away and plenty of shops in Woodbridge for all the esentials.
Packed up early on our last morning and spent the day in Cambridge (good plan if you are heading East and have the time).
Would highly recommend - but don`t tell everyone!

A lovely site, very clean and tidy. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.
This was our first experience of taking our caravan away and we couldn't have picked a nicer site.
The very new looking toilet and shower block was simply stunning. The washing up facility was small but enough and the opportunity to recycle items was great.
We would certainly recommend this site if you don't want a large busy site. Lovely walks available and the village pub is super. The site was level and private.
Very easy to find and easy to access when your towing a caravan

Had a lovely weekend at this beautiful site. It was absolutely immaculate - spotless toilets and showers - more than adequate dish washing facilities - I cannot sing their praises high enough.
The owner was charming - guided us to our designated pitch & £32 for 2 nights was a bargain for the quality. The pitches are large - you could get a caravan, awning and car side by side with room to spare.
The local pub - 5 mins cycle away was very pleasant. The owner - despite the pub being shut from 3 - 6 in the afternoon happily served drinks to all who happened by.
We visited nearby Wickham Market - famous for Revetts Butchers serving the most brilliant sausages. Bought our Sunday lunch - lovely loin joint of pork for 1/4 price you'd pay for at Jimmys farm - and still Gloucester old spot.
Will definitely return
