Stayed here for a weekend, Very friendly people and knowledgeable of the local area. A peaceful site in the middle of the countryside, The site is flat with well mown grass, part sheltered, Pocklington is nearby for all shopping needs. This is a wonderful site to either walk or cycle from, especially the cycling as there are so many quiet roads and lanes. We will be back.

Stayed in one of the pods as we had been given a glamping voucher as a gift.
Small, quiet site. Facilities were lovely and clean with attention paid to detail (nice handwash / handcream and fresh flowers in the shower / toilet block as well as radio installed)
Lovely owner who spent considerable time telling us about the local area as well as the site itself.
Visited by the hens (had fun working out which one was which from the checklist provided!) and also by the local peacock which hopped up on our picnic bench.
Would definitely visit again if camping in that area.

Visited this site over May day bank holiday weekend, very friendly owners showed us where to pitch and gave us a list of 'dos and don'ts', lovely quite site with only room for 5 caravans and a few tents, no set pitch markers, all units are placed around the edge of large field, no playground facilities but room for children to play without annoying anyone. Chickens wander freely around site.
Outdoor washing up area with only one sink, but adequate for size of field, hot water not brilliant, but did the job.
Shower block behind owners house, one shower and toilet for each gender, lovely and clean with soap and handcream in ladies. There are also information leaflets in this block.
Not far from York, we used the park and ride which was ideal.
We normally only use adult only sites, but as we had grandchildren with us this was the perfect choice, would definitely go back again.

Great little site with plenty of room, very cheerful and helpful owners and excellent facilities for a site with a small number of users. Free range chickens and an occasional visit by a lonely peacock, which appears to like company, all add to the charm of this site.
We love to investigate the historic canal systems and the site is only a couple of miles from the start of the Pocklington canal (car park and picnic area very convenient) which it is possible to walk the whole length of (if you have the energy).
A very good and quiet site - heartily recommended.

We are really delighted with this fantastic quiet little site. On arrival we were greeted by the owners who showed us to our pitch and pointed out where all the facilities were. Even Houdini the chicken came over to say hi.
There are no marked out pitches and this helps with keeping the grass in good condition which the owner was cutting when we arrived. The ground was really good and even though we always use rock pegs normal ones would have been ok. The pot washing area is visible from all the pitches and means you don't have to walk there until its vacant. In there is a small list of bits and bats that you might have forgotten to bring with you that can be purchased from the site and its reasonably priced too. By the way the eggs laid by the hens that wander around the site are truly wonderful. The Toilets are situated to the side of the farmhouse and is very nice inside. There is only one shower and toilet per gender BUT with it been a small site this isn't a problem. There is local information in there as well as take away menus if you decide to not cook.
The site is at the side of a minor road and the traffic that uses it is minimal. The peacock that wonders are the area paid us a visit too. The wildlife is varied too from the Barn owl that lives on the side of the farmhouse, to the buzzard the circled over during the day. There is no playground for the children but with the large area in front of the units its back to children playing together and the parents getting involved too.
Near by there is a gliding club and they can be seen above you and is a delight to watch.
The site is about 2-3 miles from Pocklington so is a good base for day trips to the coast via the back roads or visit York, Beverley and Driffield. We spent a day at the York Maze and the whole family loved it. Next door to the the Maze is the Yorkshire Air Museum which is well worth a visit. They have 2 Camping pods which I would imagine would be really nice to use in the winter when the snow is falling.
All in all this site is fantastic, its quiet, good location, brilliant owners, a little home from home in your tent. I would recommend this site to anyone.

A really fabulous site with plenty of space between units. It was all very well kept and the owners Janet and Stephen were very friendly and helpful. The toilets and showers were immaculate as was the site, they are planning to expand the glamping side and if so they could do with another couple of showers and toilets. At the moment there are only one toilet and one shower for males and the same for females. We walked into Pocklington which is a very nice market town, we also walked back, a round trip of about 5 miles. This is definitely a site to visit and an ideal base for cycling and visiting some historical places of interest. It cost us £20. 00 a night which for a cl is expensive but you do get value for money.

We had a lovely visit at this site. It is a pretty site with two flat grassy areas to pitch your tent. (We got lucky as we were in a corner next to a picnic table). It was lovely and quiet and the facilities were spotless and kept very clean and tidy. The owners were very helpful and also sold fresh eggs which we enjoyed cooking for breakfast! There is no play area on site but it really did not matter. The children enjoyed watching the chickens and the peacock and running around in the field. We even played cricket! We enjoyed visiting the local village which had a supermarket, old-fashioned sweet shop, pubs, restaurants etc.

What a great little quiet site this is.
Just stayed as a family for 2 nights with a 5yr and 2 yr old and had a great time.
The owners are very friendly and always took time to talk with us and the children. There a hens walking around the site and the children loved feeding these.
Although there is only one shower and one toilet each for ladies and gents, we never had any issues with using them and they are spotlessly clean.
A small pot washing up area all under cover.
Although there isn't a park there is ample room on the field in front of your tents to play and you can see the children at all areas of the park, so safety or disappearing out of site was never an issue. The free range eggs from the hens are gorgeous.
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and would definitely go back for a relaxing, quiet stay again. Thanks.

On the 11th May we had manage to sort a weekend to ourselves. Childcare etc. Taken care of. After looking for hours on the internet at hotels and other options, we came to the conclusion that a break away didn't need to be in a five star hotel, all we required was peace and quiet with nice surroundings. Mentioned to my wife the option of Glamping which at first she compared to sleeping in a garden shed. After looking into it more, I gave them a call at Yapham Holds Farmhouse. We booked into one of their Gothic Pods. As we arrived the first thing that struck us, was how peaceful it was and how picturesque the surroundings are. The owners have done a great job with campsite and in a relatively short space of time. On checking in, they gave us an info pack about the site and local area. Also included is a colour key for the individually named chickens who are very friendly and at home in their environment.
All the way through our stay the owners hit the tone perfectly and I have to say after my wife's initial comments she was completely won over. Her actual words were 'I've never been to a campsite as nice this before, Id love to do this again. '
All in all we had a great time and will definitely return, the Pods are ideal for those who enjoy the camping feel without the hard work. With our camping stove and fridge accompanied with the provided sofa bed and LCD TV, not to mention the Shower block which is pristine, this is most definitely Glamping with a capital 'G'.
Thanks Very Much.

Upon arrival at the site we were welcomed and he showed us where to pitch our tent and our electric socket supply - we had a great pitch which we loved.
The hens also came over to introduce themselves too!
Had an enjoyable stay over the bank holiday weekend - the site was pleasant and not too rowdy with a mixture of tents and caravans.
The toilet and shower block although small were functional and clean with supply of hand soap and lotion and music playing too.
There was some information about the local area and the owners were more than willing to point you in the right direction for where you wanted to go in the local area, whilst there we visited Bridlington and Skegness and other more local places.
Have booked up to go back in May this year and cannot wait.
