In 10 years of travelling around the UK, this was one of the worst we've visited. The most miserable reception imaginable.

Toilets diabolical. One of the Gents toilets wasn't properly secured to the floor so, if you moved to wipe your backside, the toilet moved with you.

In the Ladies, two toilet seats were on the ground, while one was hanging off.

Our camping spot was literally just above the railway line. The noise of passing trains was very loud but, have to say, the trains stopped running before 10 pm.

For £27.50 a night, we expected better than this.

Pitch 12 was huge and so easy to reverse our 30 ft American RV into but to be fair I think we would of managed in every hard stand pitch if the weeping willows were trimmed a little higher 😄😄😄

Overall a fantastic place

Sunday lunch was to die for

Will be booking again for regular mini breaks for friends as its only 30 mins drive from home

Only issue so to speak was the grey waste from our on board tanks was lower than the elsan dump point so had to be decanted into a roller or maybe we just missed the motorhome flush point 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Pros - Nice flat pitches, good pub food.

Cons - dogs aren't allowed to be walked on site, which I found odd as they say they are a dog friendly site, the only nearby walk I could find was blocked off, so nowhere to really walk a dog.

Found it a bit on the expensive side per nights stay.

Just spent a couple of nights here, Henry, his family and staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and tidy.

We ate in the pub one night, very extensive menu and reasonably priced, food was lovely thoroughly enjoyed it.

Some nice walks direct from the site.

Although the site is in close proximity to a railway line and road, it wasn't obtrusive.

We will definitely be returning.

A very friendly welcome. We had emphasized that we have a very large tent and the site allocated was exactly right with easy pegging.

The quoted price was honoured even though there had been a later increase for our dates.

The toilets had hot water always and were cleaned regularly.

The pub food was very good if a little pricey and the pub staff were very helpful and friendly.

The weekend entertainment was not to our taste but did not mar the pleasant stay we had.

We intend to make this site our first choice in future when we revisit our native county (d.V.).

Our second visit and eager to return.

A lovely campsite with a very relaxed atmosphere, clean heated toilet block and large, well maintained pitches.

Can't wait to come again.

Lovely site well situated for touring the Northumberland coast.

New owners from early 2020. Very, very friendly and helpful staff.

Site immaculately kept with mature trees and plants and picnic tables in the camping area.

Caravan/motorhome hard standings are to the side of the pub and tent/non electric pitches to the front. The hard standing pitches are large and relatively flat, most with a grass area to the side/front.

Some pitches are near to the road and railway but as the site is surrounded by trees noise was not a problem.

Good clean facilities with plenty of hot water. Separate ladies and gents with separate washing up and fresh water. Toilet emptying point round the back of the block. Hand gel and sanitiser provided everywhere. Felt very safe.

Pub has a lot of outside seating as well as inside. Distancing being observed. Not serving food when we were there but were hoping to do so from September.

Would happily recommend and return.
