15 September 2003 My husband and myself along with Leba our Chocolate Lab, age 18 months have just spent 8 nights on the site. We had a wonderful stay, the site was peaceful and the weather spot on. We found the wardens very friendly and the facilities o.k. The modern showers in the family unit were very good, the old one's left me either cold or boiled like a lobster.
The shop had very little stock but I suppose it was nearing the end of the season. The surrounding area gives lots of places to visit and we would recommend the pub in Seahouses on the way out, can't remember the name but it has a lovely beer garden and for dog lovers a friendly dog loving landlord.
Final word from Leba, the sea was very cold but I spent hours leaping the waves and stealing childrens sticks of wood, I was still swimming in my sleep!!

5th-7th September 2003 This was a nice site. It has three areas (that I could see) - static caravans, caravans and tents (which we were in). The caravan and tent areas are flat and have an embankment around them which gives it a secluded feel. The pitches are around the perimeter of each area which leaves an open area in the middles for the kids (old and young) to play. The toilets were OK. The dedicated Ladies/Gents were older and had showers but I'd recommend using the newer family units for showering - much better. All free too. A 10-15 minute walk from the beach. Only a few minutes to drive to Bamburgh and ~20 minutes to Holy Island. I'm from the North East but it always surprises me just how picturesque the Northumberland coast is. I'd cerainly recommend this site and will be making a return visit next year.

Aug 2003 We really enjoyed our stay here. We found the pool too small though and too packed. There is a large grassed area in the middle of the caravans where the kids can play football or fly their kites etc in full view so you can sit back and relax without loosing sight of them. A nice quiet, clean site and we will definately be going again.

August 03 A pleasant site with flat pitches of good grass within a banked enclosure that prevents a lot of the sea breezes from hitting your pitch. the site has a nice if small pool and bar area. Seperate touring reception with freindly and knowledgable staff. An excellent base from which to visit a large number of fantastic beeches and historic castles. The only fault with the site is the toilet block which is old and not terribly clean. Some effort has obviously beeen made here with the introduction of family shower rooms however some of these had shower curtains missing and damaged flooring. We felt it was a pity that these facilities let down an otherwise very nice park.

June 2003 First time at the site. Recommended by a fellow camper. With my two children 4 and 7 years of age, this was paradise. Our 2 day stay was spent either in the pool or in the pool!. Great for all the other local siightseeing too. I was so impressed with saftey and the clean amenities for my children, I have now booked a full week in August. Never mind the children, I can't wait for the peace, the quiet and the pool again!

July 2002 Best campsite We've been to,loads of space between tents & caravans. Friendly staff allways around to help even at 10 p.m. Great hot showers big enough for two (or more) 24 hours a day with plenty of spotless toilets. Great friendly bar with good priced plain grub up until 10 p.m. nice but small open air pool. Close to Bamburgh with it's massive beachhead castle, a couple of pubs/hotels. Seahouses is good for people watching at the harbour but the town is a little bit tacky more chippies and amusements than anything else in the main street but quite nice with a laid back atmosphere. Alnwick with the castle is a market town which was really nice, with plenty of pubs/hotels to get fed and watered. Just over two hours drive from Fife, Will be back in July 2003 and for a few more after that.

May 2003 This is a large, well established site for all caravan and camping needs. All my family enjoyed our camping holiday here. The showers were excelent with Family & disabled facilities, plus they were free. We will visit this area of Northumberland again and would recommend this site to other campers.

July 2002 This camp site will be special, because before I went here I was a virgin camper. I found Waren Mill very well spaced out and unless you went for a walk about you would not know how big the site was. Plenty of spacious play areas for kids with a small double pool just outside the pub. I was given a pitch with two vacant pitches next to me for the rest of our party who were arriving several hours later than myself. I thought that was good because the site was fully booked all weekend. I know it was my first camping expodition but I just hope Waren Mill hasn't spoilt me.
