Now if you know the area, you'll know why it's so popular with tourists. Right on the edge of Budle Bay and 2 miles walk to Bamburgh, this site is superbly placed.
As we are still under COVID conditions, firstly hats off to the staff for keeping it clean and tidy, they have done very well. The tent pitch was grass, and a little bit muddy but you are right next to your hook up point, and the pitch was smooth and level. There are gravel or tarmac roadways close to most pitches so no one is going to bog down. Admittedly the pitches were bang on the minimum 6 metres apart so it felt a bit close together to me, but I am a fussy beggar.
The showers were good and hot, the cubicles nice and big. We tried a family shower room - these are excellent and very warm too! The toilets were kept as spotless as you can expect when everyones' kids had muddy wellies on.
WIFI you had to pay for but £12 for 7 nights isn't too bad is it?
The little bar/restaurant was ok, decentwine and real beer available, although the menu was slimmed down as it was relatively quiet. Again - pleasant staff and good service. The food was adequate - and not overpriced for what it was. There is a site shop but we didn't check it out.
It felt pleasantly busy for October half term but I reckon that after Easter and in the summer this will be a busy site - but it is very child friendly, plenty of playgrounds around, and a nice safe feel to it.

Well run site with a nice family friendly atmosphere,
Excellent covid approach in bar and around the facilities.
Take cash if you visit sight see locally as no cashpoint machines in Bamburgh. Castle is a great visit
No paths on roadside so walk into town a little treacherous

We have been on this campsite a numerous times and have enjoyed our stay, but this time was disappointed that the pool wasn't open even though at other sites theirs were.
I found that some of the staff were not helpful. We went to book a table but was told they didn't book tables, but I could see reservation on tables in the dining room. I think some discount should have been given seeing that facilities were not in use.

Fabulous location. Staff brilliant, so friendly.
Grounds well kept. Felt super safe and children were able to scoot and cycle around freely.
Looking forward to next visit already.

This is a very well laid out and extremely clean site. My 9 & 7 year old boys loved it for cycling and the 2 parks. Felt safe while being welcomed and they have really taken great thought and care in looking after everyone and themselves. Sanitising stations everywhere including the parks.
Lots of people with dogs which is great but please clean up after your dog.
A bit of a walk down a hill to the beach, not as I expected but beach well worth the trip. The roads on the way up to the entrance need to be improved. This is also the road you will walk back down to the beach or walk into Bamburgh.

Expensive site with no 5 star facilities. No road behind 1st row of tourers therefore churned up grass.
For the price paying extra for awning should be double space.
Dogs in awning yet paid extra for them.
Premium space yet electric only.
Not value for money.
