We booked for 4 nights with a large tent. At a cost of £186. 80 I thought, and expected, a whole lot from the site, and was disappointed.
The site for a family next to the field is ideal.
The pitch we were given was the worst pitch ever. The ground surface was VERY uneven and on the biggest incline for a large tent ever. It was supposed to be a adults only field, but then families with children arrived and pitched on it, one with a small baby. When I spoke to a site rep he said it sometimes happens!
The bar area was good, but they don't allow dogs into it. There are no other pubs within walking distance either.
The site seems to be more after the static caravan owners than tents.
The toilet facilities were good and clean with the wash area good.
Conclusion, would recommend families in playing field, but don't bother with the adults only.

Very clean and tidy site. Staff friendly. Site very quite. Not all facilities were open this was due to the time of the year we went.
Hot meals after 5pm in restaurant.
Clean toilet block. Shop well stocked. All areas well mentioned.

Stayed for 3 nights. Rang to make booking and spoke to a very friendly, helpful lady.
On arrival, it was quite busy with caravans on the 1 way system, so had to wait for them to clear, before we could get to the tent field.
All the pitches are on the perimeter in this field ( so much better than the tents that were in mixed fields ), which leaves a large space for the kids to play.
Decent well sized pitch, didn't feel too close to others.
Facilities :
Shower block is clean, with separate family showers
Bar, priced ok, we ate in there 1 night, food was standard fayre
Pool, great for the little ones ( but closed at 5 on 1 of the evenings, just as we had come back to use it )
Games room, don't bother, seems to be a long standing issue with machines not working
Play area, kids loved the zip slides, climbing frames etc
Shop, seemed to close just when it was about to get busy in the early evenings. Families out for the day, returning and wanting milk etc, but shop shuts around 5pm ( would have been better to be clised for a few hours during the day & then open in the evenings )
Overall a very pleasant stay, only a 2 min drive to bamburgh village, with a great butchers and pub ( nice meals )

We recently had a 1 week stay here in the school holidays.
The site was very busy as you would expect for the time of year. The staff are great and very friendly.
The cleanliness of the toilet block was questionable when we were there. It appeared to get a quick clean once a day. A bucket was left for you to mop the shower cubicle after use which was just brown dirty water and never appeared to be fresh.
The major downside of the site is that tents and caravans are pitched next to each other. This meant that we were kept awake for 2 nights by the noisy campers next door. There is a no noise policy after 11 which on 5 nights out of 7 was respected.
We did ask to be out of the way and be in a quieter area but unfortunately had a large group deposited next to us who turned up with a transit van of alcohol and spent 2 days drinking, playing loud music and swearing having no respect for the people either side.
During our week's stay there were 2 ambulances on site and a police car evicting someone. Definitely not a relaxing place to stay. More of a mums and dads on the drink site with the kids running riot.
We definitely wont be returning.
The location is great.

A large family orientated site with good facilities.
Typical club standard and open plan. We arrived fairly late but caught the shop and were made very welcome despite the small revenue we offered for one night.
The toilet blocks and washing area were superb standard and highly cleaned, even late at night. There is a large central play area for children where you can pitch directly opposite with a touring unit. The camp area was ok, slightly sloping ground but nothing too bad.
We never used the on site bar but it looked great.
The only issue I had from this site was a small lack of vegetation in my opinion, a few more trees would have been nice otherwise a perfect family site.

Spent a long bank holiday weekend on this site, it is in an excellent location with great views, relatively easy to find and access with a caravan, (use directions on their website) and a short drive from Bamburgh and Seahouses. I would recommend the Copper Kettle in Bamburgh for lunch or afternoon tea.
There is a restaurant/clubhouse on site, but this was very busy in the evenings so we did not try it.
There is generally a large field for tents and a large field for touring caravans, sharing a toilet block between them. This is a big site, but the vast majority is given over to static caravans on the rest of the site. Although not the largest toilet block for the amount of people staying on the site we didn't have to queue at all, and the block was regularly cleaned. Water in the showers was just about hot enough for me, but in the sinks it was extremely hot.
Only a few fully serviced pitched with water and drain, but plenty of water taps and drains for the rest of us and good clean waste recycling areas around the site.
A very well stocked shop on site, too. Amazed at the things they had there, including a wallpaper flattener :)
Good facilities for kids - we didn't use the splash pools but there were lots of swings, climbing frames and a zip wire in the main area which was the main attraction.
The only downside to this site is the amount of touring caravans they try to fit on. As this was a bank holiday weekend it was busy with nearly all pitches full it was quite interesting trying to get to our pitch and maneuver the caravan into place (no motor mover). There was just about enough room for the 'van on hardstanding, the awning on the grass beside and the car at the front, other pitches were really struggling for room, leaving cars to block access routes.
The staff were good in asking if we needed help to get onto the pitch, and advising where to park the car so a fire engine could access the site if required, but this all seemed to go out of the window by the Sunday night with cars parked everywhere.
Although a busy site it was quiet from 10pm onwards, and we would return to stay there if in the area again.

This was a half term trip with our two kids and our first towing with a tourer. Amazing location, excellent site.
Facilities excellent, very clean and well kept. Location is superb, beautiful area also with fantastic nature walk on the site. Couldn't fault the service and the value for money great. Full service pitch Easy to access. Very family friendly. For a family new to caravanning, this was a perfect start. Will certainly be using this as a benchmark for future trips. Overall an easy 10/10.

Lovely campsite and perfect for families. The pitches are nice and flat and have stunning views out to sea. The shower and toilet facilities are the best we've had; music and a heater in the main ones and also there are family bathrooms which are great. The owners are very thoughtful and organised a teddy bears picnic for the kids, and even though this was rained off they made the effort to give out the picnics they'd made to all the kids which was a nice touch :-)
The best thing is definitely the play facilities for chikdren. Massive central football field, two playgrounds including a wooden obstacle course and a zip wire. Our boys (4 & 6) loved it and were hardly at the tent!
We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was great. A bit pricy but worth it for the convenience.
Location-wise it's brilliant. You can see Lindisfarm and Bamburgh Castle from the site, and it's a short drive from the area's tourist attractions.
Overall, fantastic family site which we would happily return to :-)

A really great site, the best we have been to in three years of touring.
The location is brilliant for exploring the area, 15 mins north and you are in Berwick, or Holy island and the same sort of time south and you are at Craster, with Bamburgh, Seahouses, Beadnell and Low Newton on the way. All the beaches are fantastic and the quaint little villages have plenty to do with good pubs, restaurants, castles, boat trips and some great walks.
The site is perfectly clean and really well laid out with an earth mound covered in trees shielding the pitches from the sea breeze. In the centre of the pitches is a good kids play park easily visible from your pitch so the kids can be supervised, whilst letting them have a little bit of freedom that isn't always possible at home.
The touring facilities were always clean and smelling of zoflora (or similar) good sized showers with loads of hot water and plenty of cubicles so even at the early morning busy time there was no queues. Half a dozen family wet rooms are fantastic, the missus said showering our two young girls was an absolute doddle compared to anywhere else we've been.
Whilst here we encountered no problems and didn't have to call on the wardens for anything, but they were friendly and spoke on passing. The site was lively throughout the day, but very quiet after dark and we all slept really well.
The larger site has more parks for the kids, one with an amazing view point covering half of Northumberland.
The shop is a little bit expensive but the small well thought out range covers everything you might have forgotten.
The bar is good with a decent range, nice seating and a good patio, overlooking the lovely kids pool.
We didn't eat at the site but the food looked good and was a reasonable price.
We will definitely be returning early next year!

Brilliant camp site, we are just back from a 3 night stay here with our 2yr old son. The site is big and caters for campers & caravans
All the toilets & showers were very clean and well maintained which helped a great deal with a wee one and a wife who was not keen on camping before we went.
The staff are all very friendly & helpful especially the lady in the shop who went out her way to get me ice from the bar as there was none in the shop.
There are male & female toilet/shower blocks and a family area which has rooms with showers & toilets & one room has a bath (key available from reception for a £5 refundable deposit)
There is a bar which is reasonable for a holiday camp - a pint of Carling was £3. 05, Smirnoff £2. 60
The bar also sold food, we had takeaway one night from the bar which was ok (if you don't mind paying £6. 45 for a chicken burger & chips - but we had missed the shop so had little other option) and we had breakfast one morning which was very good
The 2 swing park areas are good and kept our wee boy amused.
Berwick Upon Tweed is 30 mins away north up the A1 and is good for a trip (a market on Wednesdays), we also went to Seahouses which was only 10 mins south on the A1 and found The Bunker soft play area for kids which was great to pass a rainy morning
I cannot rate the cleanliness of this site high enough, it really was a high standard considering how busy the site was during our stay
We will definitely stay here again however I think we would go for electric hook up tent pitch as a small heater would have been nice as it got quite cold quite quickly once the sun went down
