We have just returned from a 10 night stay at this fabulous site! we origionally booked for 7 nights and extended out stay to 10 nights. It meant moving out tent but we thought it was well worth it!
The site is silent between 10pm and 8am - which was brilliant as we have 2 young children, and the playground is superb.
The facilities we thought were among the best that we have seen! The showers and toilet were always spotlessly clean and there were plenty of them - even in the busy summer holidays. One teeny tiny critism - there were only 2 washing up sinks and often we had to wait in order to wash up - but in the wonderful surroundings this wasn't too much of a problem.
The Isle of Wight is full of things to do - to suit everyone! We took bikes and were able to cycle to the wonderful town of seaview directly from the site using footpaths and byways.
We also have a dog and she loved this site the dog walking field was brilliant and with the byways and footpaths so close to the site it meant that off lead walking was easily accessible!
We can't wait to come back next year!

I stayed at Beaper Farm at the beginning of June for a week. I arrived on a Saturday morning as most other campers seemed to be leaving. I booked in at the house and the owners were very friendly and they just leave you to it. I was escorted to my pitch and told to knock if I needed anything.
The site consists of 2 large fiels and a smaller field (through which is a rally field). I was on the first large field on the electric hookups backing onto the dividing hedge. The site is all grass with no hardstandings and is closely mown.
The pitches for electrics were well spaced and there is no formal marked out pitches for non electric. I was camping alone so was very cheap for me as this site charges per person per night and there were very few of us on site.
I found the site breezy at times. There are 2 toilet blocks and 1 shower block on site. The toilets on the top field were basic and had a few cobwebs and were very dated but usable. I didn't see any sign of heating in there though.
The toilet block on the bottom field was newer but was still quite dated but was cleaner. The showers were also very dated and unfortunately the water drained through the dressing area to the drain outside the door so was a battle trying to get dressed without getting your feet wet again.
All in all the facilities were clean but very dated and basic. After 3 days I resorted to just using my own.
The site shop was closed when I was there and didn't look as though it had been open for a while, in fact I would describe it as derelict looking and the washing machine and dryer I think were from the antiques roadshow.
However Tesco's was only a few minutes away for any bits needed as well as a McDonalds. Its a shame really as this site could be so much better with some investment into the facilities on site.
In the summer this place is probably packed and the owners must make a fortune but sadly this hasn't been re-invested into the site.

This was our first time camping, we stayed 3 nights and loved it. Was a very nice campsite with good and clean facilities. When we were there the shop was closed due to our spring booking which could of come in useful, but tesco was only a 15 min walk away. Not to many people this time of year so had peaceful stay and lots of open room and space around.
The womens showers were clean and warm, but the mens were usually cold. Was nice to have a shower on your own as we booked early so no queues.
All in all very nice stay and enjoyed our weekend away.

We spent 3 nights at Beaper Farm in our 1977 VW Camper & awning (2 adults & 2 children aged 4 & 10) Unfortunately the weather was against us - very windy and wet. Nevertheless, we loved the site. It is really well maintained and with good facilities. The washing machine & tumble drier were a godsend!
The owners were friendly & helpful. The showers were clean & there was plenty of free hot water.
The children loved the well-equipped adventure playground.
The pitch was level for our awning & electric hook-up and we were somewhat sheltered from the gales by a hedge which divided basic pitches from electric hook-ups.
The small shop on site sold the basics & the site is in easy driving distance of main beaches and attractions. The large Tesco around a mile up the road was invaluable.
We would definitely re-visit this site and have already recommended it to our friends.

We have just returned from Beaper Farm after a nine night stay. We have never been to the Isle of Wight before but will definitely be returning. Beaper Farm is a lovely family run site offering clean, well maintained facilities at a competitive price. The playground was a big hit with our children and the shop (which was open 10am to noon) was very handy.
The toilet block was always clean, warm and well lit. The showers were generally warm although at peak times you do run the risk of having a cold one. You cannot control the temperature of the water and at times my children found them too hot. On the plus side the shower block was always clean apart from the inevitable muddy floor at times. With only two washing up sinks there was often a queue over the bank holiday weekend. There is a well equipped laundry room with washing machines, a dryer, sinks and an iron.
The Bugle Inn at Brading offers a lovely meal and a play area for younger children. Shanklin Chine is a must.

I loved this site and was gutted when I left it too late to book a pitch this year!
Two very spacious camping fields both with a toilet block (the one in the back field was a bit dated but perfectly adequate. Plenty of toilet stalls and sinks and a plug socket for hairdryers etc)
We were able to pitch wherever we wanted and so chose the back field as this seemed more sheltered being surrounded by hedges and trees. It had a bit of a slope to it but was big enough that no one had to be on the actual slope unless they chose to be.
Showers were token operated but were fine to use and token were only 20p.
The site had a little shop which came in handy and also a laundry room which I can't comment on as we didn't use it but it looked ok.
The owners were lovely and approachable and the site itself is well located. There is a Tesco supermarket 5 minutes away which was brilliant to have (and a MacDonalds a little further up the road for which my son was delighted!). Even though it's not a particularly rural site you do feel like you're in the middle of nowhere as it's up a little track and away from the noise of the main road.
This is a basic family run site and not up to the standards of your Haven sites etc but of the two I would choose this every time. Proper camping!

Just returned from 6 nights at Beaper Farm. What a lovely site! We had an EHU pitch, which even though it was marked out, was extremely large. We were in the top field which was huge, with plenty of room for everyone, non EHU can pitch wherever you want. Our field had the children's playground & sandpit, which was a huge bonus. Apparently families with children on EHU are usually allocated this field for the playground!
We were on the EHU pitches that ran down the centre of this field, and my only criticism was that it was probably the noisiest area, as you not only had neighbours either side of you,you also had them at the back of you as the EHU pitches ran 'back to back',and when you are in a tent, as you know every noise carries! If we visited again I would ask to be on the pitches by the hedgerow.
The toilets and showers were always extremely clean, and even though there were only 6 ladies showers I never had to queue. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly and were very helpful with a few noise problems we had!
The site was very close to the lovely village of Brading, there are a few lovely pubs there The Bugle Inn is great if you want the kids amused, the usual play area / family meals type pub.The Dark Horse is a lovely villagey type pub.
The fish & chip shop in Brading (brothers) is fantastic, the best I've ever had! All in all, a fantastic location, a lovely large, open space site, with beautiful rural woodland surrounding it, great cycle paths and walking paths from the site.

A very large spacious site, with a limited number of electric hook ups. As we had asked for hook up we were allocated a pitch backing onto the play area. As I am slightly allergic to other peoples kids we asked to be moved to a quieter pitch. Our request was pleasantly accommodated and we were moved to another hook up pitch in the bottom field, well away from the play area, with nice views and never more than 5 other tents/caravans in the field with us.
There are two quite modern and clean toilet blocks on site. The shower block is attached to reception and is more dated, but always clean. There is a laundry with quick and efficient washing machines and a tumble dryer.
There is fairly constant noise from the nearby road, regular train noise and regular small aircraft from a nearby airfield. The trade off for that is that you are close to Ryde and its amenities.

A fantastic site with loads of space for the children to run around. We camped in the top field and watched red squirrels as we ate our breakfast. A nice play area in this field too.
The facilities were always clean with unlimited hot showers and hot water for washing up. Trees border the site so gave us some welcome shade - we were lucky to have fantastic hot weather. The owners were friendly and helpful. Lots of nice sandy beaches within a 15-20 minute drive of the campsite, one excellent for rockpooling.
There is a Tescos down the road which was very handy for buying milk on a daily basis. There is a shop on site, but looked like it was being done up during our stay. A basic, clean, good value site with loads of space! We will be returning

Lovely quiet site with lots of room, good clean facilities, very helpful staff, and red squirrels running around. Unlike other nearby sites tents, caravans, etc were not crammed in on top of each other, many other visitors had been returning for years for a quiet weekend, or week away.
Very highly recommended if your after a nice quiet break. They also had cheap walk on rates for car + small tent, and the shower meters had been removed. Shop was being done up when we visited.
