Just enjoyed a 4 night stay here. Considering how big the site is, it was lovely and quiet, and we were pleased with our pitch near the lake. The staff were very friendly and so helpful.
Although it is a family site, the children's playground was set at the far end of the pitches so we found it really peaceful. Not sure what it is like in the summer hols though!
Toilets were spotless and showers were hot. We spent a lovely afternoon in Hornsea which is not too far away, and the visit to Burton Constable Hall was very interesting. If you check with reception they will issue you with a voucher which gives you a discounted entry fee to the Hall, making it very reasonable and well worth it.
This was our first visit, but I am sure it wont be our last!

Just like to add my review of this great site, We visited a friend in August 2013 at Burton Constable, then returned for the Bonfire Night weekend, we had a brilliant time, so this is now our third visit, we were parked down by the lake on pitch 50a the ground is slightly uneven by put a leveller under a wheel and we were fine. I started fishing last year and caught several large bream, there are carp in excess of 25lbs in the lakes so hoping for one of those next time, The shower blocks were kept spotless and the site has easy access from SPROATLEY village, don't put BURTON CONSTABLE in your sat nav as you will end up knocking on the front door of the large country house!. The best approach is from the A165/B1238 then turn Left opposite the Post Office, for BURTON CONSTABLE Caravan Park and Aubitorium.

Just spent 3 nights here over the Easter bank holiday period, managed to book our pitch on the website without any problems. The site is very picturesque with very good facilities and even though very busy over this period the shower block was kept spotless. We don't tend to go for sites with pubs or clubs on but enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and reasonable prices. There was a burger van there and also a hog roast on the Saturday which again were very reasonably priced. The playground at the far end of the site is well set out and kept the kids busy. There is on site fishing for anglers on the two lakes and a short walk across a field will take you to the Burton Constable Hall which is worth a visit.
I don't know how we have missed this site on our radar as it is very well run and not too far from the coast, with Hornsea a mere 15 to 20 minutes away. Will become regular patrons of this site from now on I think.

Just spent 5 nights here over Easter this is our 7th visit and we will be back again in the summer. The setting is idyllic you could be anywhere in the country rather than 10 mins outside Hull. The site was very busy as you'd expect but the WCs were kept clean and the site spotless, hog roast and singer at the Pub on Saturday with a few stalls and bouncy castle for the kids. The fishing is good and all the staff very friendly. We love it.

We have just returned from 6 nights at Burton Constable. It was an excellent site. We had our 2 dogs with us and walking was one of our priorities. Although the dogs had to understandably be kept on the leads on the grounds, there were acres of land to walk them and also the beach was a 15 minute drive away. The toilet blocks were cleaned 3 times a day and spotless. The bar was very good value at £2. 40 a pint. The only disappointment was there is not a restaurant on site although there was a burger bar and fish and chip van on the weekend nights. Everyone was very friendly. A 5 minute walk took you into the village and there are 2 pubs, we ate at both again very affordable and good food. There is an ASDA 15 minute drive away, which was great for petrol and food supplies. The campsite was very busy so, it would be advisable to book in advance. The weather was excellent too. We would definitely return to this campsite and highly recommend it.

We were here for a week in our tourer and my daughter and family were in a tent. Site was brilliant with plenty to do for the grandchildren. We were close to a small but beautifully clean shower & toilet block which was kept immaculate by staff. Plenty of room for the children to run around and made more than welcome in the family room at night. All staff on the site could not have been more helpful. Will definitely be returning to this site as it's not too far away from us and handy for lots of other locations.

We think this is up there as one of the best site we have visited, excellent clean toilets, big park for children we normally get pitched near the park so our eldest can fish in the ponds which are full of fish all sizes and our youngest can play in the park and we can sit outside the caravan and watch them both,
The staff are very friendly and the pub on site regularly has a bq which is reasonable, the shop is well stocked
Sometime the pitches around the park and pond can get quite busy during bank holidays,
Great site if you have children take a walk to the house

What a beautiful site this is, well kept camping grounds, lovely clean spacious toilets and showers enough to cope with all campers too, pot washing area and laundrette room too, bins and recycling bins too for cans and glass.
We were greeted at the office by a lovely lady who told us all about the things that were happening over the weekend, then we were directed down to the touring pitches and met by 2 men who were very helpful in getting us in the correct pitch, the staff on this site are so helpful and friendly all of the time.
The site has a beautiful lake and of course Burton Constable hall too, very good playground for children and miles of walking for the dogs around the grounds and lakes.
This site is very secure with barriers for entrance and exit.
Highly recommended site for a relaxing break set in a amazing grounds!

We stayed over the Jubilee weekend in our touring van, this was our 4th visit in the last 2 years. The site is one of our favourites with the lake and the countryside setting, very busy weekend with nearly every pitch taken but you still get the feeling of being close to nature. The hog roast on the Monday was great with a singer on in the afternoon the only complaint with the Pub was that the static owners seem to have a special dispensation when it comes to queueing at the bar !
Could do with another shower block although the cleaner tried to keep on top of it.
Its a shame that people leave the lock off the door to the shower block which allows kids to use it to play hide and seek etc, first thing Tuesday morning it looked like a bomb had hit it.
Over all a great site with very friendly staff we will be back later in the year.

We wanted to try out our new tent and chose this campsite as its just 30 minutes away from where we live. Originally my partner and I wanted to stay with another couple who are friends of ours, but on trying to book this we were asked our age (23-25 yrs) and told we would not be welcome.
Desperate to try our tent before a bigger trip in a few weeks time my partner and I decided to visit alone.
We were very impressed with the campsite overall.
Pitches are of a good size and we did not feel closed in. The campsite itself is beautiful. There is a huge fishing lake, and the views of Burton Constable itself are lovely.
The toilets and showers were more the adequate. The block nearest to our pitch had 5 showers and plenty of toilets.
There is an on site bar selling both food and drinks. We did not visit our selfs as we were only staying the night but we heard from other campers the prices were reasonable.
There is a fish and chip van which visits the site on a Friday and Saturday evening. We couldn't resist a bag of chips to go with our BBQ and found the prices pretty good.
The only downfall for us was our neighbours. Having been told we were not allowed to visit the site with another couple because of our age, we were expecting rules to be strict, and to have a peaceful visit. This was not the case and from around 10pm we had to listen to our middle-aged neighbours arguing and swearing very loudly and kicking their BBQ around. At one point we nearly left it was so bad. They were not the only ones making noise either.
Normally, although this would be a bit annoying it wouldn't bother us that much. However, when we were pretty much told we wouldn't be allowed on the site because it was presumed we would be rowdy, we expected the site to be very tranquil.
Overall, its a lovely site. The staff can't help it if we have loud neighbours. It is a shame they have decided to tar all young people with the same brush. I would love to visit the site with friends in the future but this is unfortunately unlikely to happen.
