Lovely site in a lovely setting, toilets and showers are very nice and clean with an excellent playing area. Only complaint was the bar - what the leaflet failed to mention was that the main area was adult only, the family area was little more than a cupboard. On our first night the family room was standing room only with families having to sit outside in the cold, whilst the adult side was empty, our son is 14 but we were told we were not allowed in the large empty bar area with him so we had to go back to the caravan and watch a film instead. We appreciate not everyone wants children around them but the main bar was empty whilst families were crammed into a tiny area or sitting outside in the cold

This is one of our favourite sites. The location is stunning and very peaceful. The playground was fantastic, all our children (ages between 7-12) loved it and spent most of their time there. The lakes on site are lovely, we also tried our hand at a bit of fishing. (permits from reception) The toilet and shower facilities were plentiful and all very clean. We didn't venture to the site shop as there is a local Asda is only 2 miles away. We paid £19.00 per night without electric hook up, although slightly more expensive than other sites we have stayed at we feel that the location and facilities are worth it.

After a visit to Captain Alarm and his crew at this site we decided to make Burton Constable our first foray into the world of camping. What a site, all the facilities and more. We took the Mother and Father in law (very experienced campers) to help us out and the first thing they said was "We've paid more for one hell of a lot less". The toilet/shower blocks are plentiful and spread across this large well kept sight, they were kept immaculately clean. The childrens play area is large and incorporates a cracking zip wire (tried out for research purposes!) and a sand pit 3ft deep! The camp bar was reasonably priced with a good range of drinks and nibbles with the camp shop complimenting it superbly with the usual corner shop perishables. A 20 minute walk led to 2 great pubs owned by ex rugby league stars who had excellent cellars and well kept beer! The weather was our only complaint alas nothing the camp site could do! Fab site and well worth the visit.

Wow what a camp site it was brilliant! It's so clean and tidy there and the shower blocks were well kept. There's is a brilliant fishing lake with all kind of fish in there the largest fish being 24oz! I am definitely going again and will probably will continue going there for many years too come.the only bad thing about it was that there was no evening entertainment for children such as my self. Everything else was beautifully maintained with no problems whatsoever there is a good play area for children, an all round fantastic camp site!

Having stayed here for the past three years this has been the best year. It is now much better as the pitches are marked out and you are not right on top of your neighbour as we have been in the past. Once again it was clean and just such a nice place to stay. The children enjoy the playground and OH likes the fishing so I was left in peace and quiet. Heaven.

Having visited this site regularly for the past few years I am saddened to see that caravans and tents can no longer leave the site at 4.00pm, on the day of departure. I realise that 2.00pm is still quite reasonable, but this decision, along with the recent price increases, does not make the site as appealing as it previously was.

We went for Holy Week - leaving on Easter Sunday. For the majority of the week, we more or less had the field to ourselves - beautiful surroundings, easy to get to Hull, Beverly, the Humber Bridge etc.
Good Friday and Easter Saturday saw an influx, such that the field and site were full by the time we left on Easter Sunday afternoon. This did raise the noise levels on site, and also put a strain on the use of the toilet/shower blocks.
We did enjoy our stay, and liked the site. However, we possibly wouldn't have done so had the site been as full for the majority of our stay.

This was a last minute booking on the May Day bank holiday and at £22.00 a night I think it was worth it. The shower blocks are beautiful and clean and the showers them selves are hot and powerful. The pot-wash although outside is a good size with very hot water all day. The playground is fantastic with at least a dozen different pieces of equipment I found it to safe and well kept.
The ground also have a well stocked shop and a huge fishing lake. We will be visiting this site again for sure. From Asda 2 miles from the village of Sproatley, 1/2 a mile hornsea/ freeport 20 Min's by car

I just love this place. Its only 5 miles from my door in Hull but you feel 100 miles away. Very peaceful (even though full the bank holiday weekend when we last went). Brilliant fishing from 2 large lakes. Small shop that sells abit of everything. Large park for the kids to play in. Showers are large and clean.
I cannot praise this park enough and have booked for the next bank holiday already.

The site is extremely well kept and the showers and toilets are immaculate. Play areas for the children are excellent. Apart from noisy neighbours with unchained dogs and psyco swans we enjoyed a pleasent stay. One thing thou.. If your tenting be prepared to be pushed to the back of the site, which I did not enjoy, considering the site was empty and we were fishing we couldn't have a lakeside pitch...
