Just returned from a fantastic bank holiday weekend. Very friendly welcome beautiful site with a nice selection of animals which the kids enjoyed looking at. The campsite is lovely and clean. Yes the facilities are very basic with only a porta loo, hand sanitiser is provided however, it would be nice if they had running water to wash your hands. We made do with this by keeping a bucket of soapy water available for our party to wash their hands being as there are lots of animals on site and kids will touch everything. The owners were always on site and always willing to chat and help with anything. There is also a very well stocked farm shop in which they sell their own reared pork in various cuts. The sausages are really tasty and if you don't fancy cooking yourself then they have a cafe which you can buy sandwiches etc. I would definitely recommend this site for a weekend visit.

What a brilliant place The Pig Place is. We enjoyed every minute of our two night stay. Our 11 year old daughter didn't want to leave!
The owners are excellent hosts, really friendly and loved showing us all the animals. Our daughter even helped with hatching some new chicks, feeding the pigs, and walking the dogs (on several occasions).
The site is basic, but has everything you need and more. Shop, fresh produce, cooked foods, canals, animals, and even trains in the distance!
The site is on a hill and the ground is uneven, but after a bit of jiggling about we got a level caravan.
Will be back, even if its for just a day out!

Had a fantastic couple of nights at The Pig Place. Greeted by some hormonal Geese then lovely owners who made us feel very welcome. Very relaxed and easygoing set up as long as you respect the animals and the land.
As stated on the site, facilities are minimal so probably not great for more than a few nights unless you have your own shower facilities.
Great local walks along the canal towpath to local villages with pubs.
This is a working farm and we were lucky enough to experience 12 rare breed piglets coming into the world!
Useful little farm shop with great products off the farm.
I would recommend and return when next in the area.

We stayed here for two nights at the start of half-term and were very pleased with this friendly site on the banks of the Oxford canal.
We were a little later than we had arranged and were greeted by the very friendly and helpful owners of the site. We had a choice of places to park up and settled near the top of the site overlooking the small holding, close to the pig pens. The site is a on slope in the main so chocks are required. Being on this gentle hillside does mean you have a view over the Oxfordshire countryside, also the TV reception was good. We were part of a group of three units and the kids were able to run round exploring site and investigating the many interesting farm animals that lived on the site. The site is basic with electric hook up and water, there is a portaloo available, we made use of our own facilities. Banbury is four miles away with access to all the shops you could need.
We were extremely impressed and will be sure to return to visit this slice of the good life

Just come back from a 4 day stay at the pig place
Had an excellent time even with all the rain.
The owners are great really helpful.
Only a portaloo and no showers but not a problem.
The owners dog are friendly and bound up to you
The cockerel and geese hang around for tit bits.
Our two dogs could not understand why they had to be kept on a lead when the owners dogs run free.
But there dogs do not chase geese and chickens.
Very basic camp site but brilliant.

We stayed here with a group of friends and had a fantastic weekend- amazing food and lovely surroundings. Real treat to wake up to the sounds of the animals snuffling around, and there are a couple of great pubs within wobbling distance from the site. The owners are extremely friendly and showed us the recent litter of tiny puppies that were utterly adorable. I'd highly recommend a relaxing weekend break here. No showers, so you have to be slightly hardier to do more than a few nights.

We have just returned from a very relaxing bank holiday weekend at the pig place, this was our third visit and I cannot recommend it highly enough, Dean and Sara are very welcoming as always, the site was fully booked but there was still plenty of space, the animals are great, the canal side location is good for walking, we went to the great western twice, half an hour along the towpath and well worth it. Whilst lounging about around the van, there is always something happening, mostly animal related, but it's also nice to watch the barges go by. The farm shop on site is very handy and the home grown pork is great, we will be back! Chris, Jeanette, Chloe, Amber and Ziggy the boxer dog.

Upon arrival we could see this was a ideal place to stay we where greeted by the lady owner who showed us the shop where we could get fresh water from if needed, she then took payment of which was very reasonable for 1night £10 per pitch. She showed us to the paddock and we had a choice of anyway so we chose to pitch right in front of the pigs and behind was a veg patch. Amazing picturesque views. Right next to the canal and in walking distance to pub along towpath, although we chose to stay on site with BBQ and beers. These people are clearly amazing have their own little paradise. Ok no shower or toilet except portaloo but in my eyes it's the ideal camping situation, everything's basic. Sat morning was able to purchase a breakfast roll from their own catering trailer from all their own produce. Will definitely recommend to a friend and will definitely, without hesitation, be staying here again

Owners are really friendly and helpful, and the farm shop is well stocked with home produce. Lots of animals to see at this beautiful and well kept CL. The walk south along the Oxford Canal is a must do.
A couple of things to note: 1) Avoid pitching by the pig enclosures if you prefer not having people around your van. 2) The owners' dogs are free range (like the geese and ducks) which can be a bit frustrating for the campers' dogs.

What a great place! The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. There are animals everywhere which was just wonderful for our 3 kids. Our dog was also warmly welcomed as long as he was on a lead at all times while on site - as there are free range hens/geese and ducks. The kids fell in love with 'jim' the very friendly farm cat! They also got 'up close and personal' with the puppies/piglets and baby chicks!
There are some lovely walks along the canal and some lovely pubs nearby for 'basic tenters' like ourselves to have a hot meal. There is also a fabulous farm shop on site selling home produced food including fresh eggs, sausages, etc.
There is a 'portaloo' on site but that's it - no shower block or crazy golf (which for us was a definite plus!). If you want a relaxed, welcoming and rural camping experience then I could not recommend this site highly enough! We can't wait to go back.
