Booked a one night stay here, what a lovely place. Dont come here if you want luxurious facilities and loads of rules and regulations. It is relaxed and friendly, park where you like. Wonderful hosts and so much to watch with the piggy antics, hens, ducks, geese and the owners dogs who are very boisterous.

On the edge of the canal, narrowboats passing all the time. A 30 minute walk to the Great Western Pub, fabulous food but go early at the weekend, very busy. Only drawback which might affect although not us is you can hear the motorway and railway line.

All in all highly recommended and we will be going again soon.

Great site, the animals are good fun and the owners are great too

Bought meat which was excellent

A really good weekend

We are fully self contained so no need to use facilities apart from water, I'd probably go with more in our tank next time but that's particular to our truck not being that conventional for water fillup.

I've marked site facilities highly as you are warned this is a basic site

Best place for a countryside retreat with great walks by the canal surrounded by farm animals & peace and quiet. We borrowed the farms dogs for a regular evening walk to the local pub 20 mins away, best food ever! Banbury just down the road for shopping. Children are allowed to feed the sheep, piglets, chickens and even got up early to collect the eggs. Chickens will wander to caravan for scraps and the piglets sometimes escape. Definitely going back!

Had a job finding it, maybe a GPS co-ordinate would help. Only stayed two days but will certainly be back. If only for the sausages.

Don't come here if you want regimented lines of vans and stuffy 'no can do' wardens. You certainly won't find them here. What you will find is two very hard-working friendly hosts, and their animals.

Biked to Banbury along the canal which was a bit tricky in places, but doable in the dry. Pub within walking distance. Nice!

What a wonderful site! A beautiful setting beside the Oxford Canal with plenty of good walking. The site itself is on a small-holding and we were surrounded by lovely pigs and piglets, chickens, ducks and an assortment of dogs. Our own 2 dogs were made very welcome indeed. There is a basic chemical toilet and a great farm shop selling the owners' pork products, camping essentials and fabulous buffalo milk ice cream.

There are electric hook-ups available and a snack van (which wasn't open when we visited). The owners were away when we stayed but a delightful couple were on hand, and they were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a totally relaxed, 'chilled out' stay with none of the usual rules and regulations. A gem of a site.

Top tip: the field is old ridge and furrow, so you will need levelling blocks!

We stayed here for our first camping trip since having a child. We had a lovely time at The Pig Place; it's a unique place to stay.

The site owners were helpful and friendly and did all they could to make us feel at home. It's a great site to take children too; the animals and the canal are wonderful attractions. We all enjoyed breakfast there; home produced meat = minimal food miles!

While the site doesn't have a shower, the toilet was clean and conveniently situated, as was the washing up area. Although we didn't investigate the local area, the site was easy to get to.

We had a great stay and should we return to this area again, we'll definitely stay there again.

This was our first weekend away in our caravan - we could not have picked a more perfect place to stay.

Sarah and Dean we so welcoming and the perfect hosts, once you have stayed here you will without doubt be booking your next stay before your first night is over.

And there's the breakfast, think of the best sausage and bacon you have ever tasted and then times it by ten and you might be somewhere close to the taste and quality that you get here.

With two young girls (6) and (3) we couldn't have wished for anything better. The pigs, chickens, ducks, dogs and goats were better entertainment than any playground could provide.

My daughters actually saw piglets being born and the youngest now only wants eggs that she has collected herself!

Wow Wow Wow

In the village of Kings Sutton (5 mins in the car)there is a pub called The Three Tons which was also fanatstic not only did it have a very nice Landlady it also had a Chinese Takeaway - the food was lovely and very convenient if you don't arrive until the evening.

Please don't book to go here - it's mine

What a lovely site. The owners were very welcoming and this is the perfect site if you want to be right next to the canal path, back to basics and around animals (piglets in particular were very entertaining).

There is one toilet, access to water and electric hook ups at the top of the field and would recommend levelling blocks as the field is on a slight slope. Levelling up was interesting but do-able.

Although we have had a fair amount of rain we were still able to drive off without getting stuck and if you are unfortunate enough for this to happen the owners have sufficient vehicles that will help you out of a hole!

We are quite local to the site but will definitely be returning for some 'time out' in the near future.

I did think twice about putting this review on, purely because I don't want this site to be booked up for my next stay but think others deserve to know how nice it is.

Spent 3 nights at the pig place over the may bank holiday, as soon as we arrived we received a very warm welcome and were even helped with pitching the van.

The location is great, right next to the canal for some nice walks,

Dean and Sara were great hosts and good fun, they also allowed the kids on site to feed the pigs ducks chickens and other critters in the morning.

Yes the site is a little uneven but this adds to the character and it is very well kept, it is lovely to have free range chickens roaming around, and views of piglets and baby lambs from your bed!

Dean and Sara were very knowledgeable and helpful in recommending walks and pubs etc, we camped with 2 girls aged 14 and 8 and Ziggy our boxer and we can't wait to go back!

Don't come here if you want site facilities such as toilet and shower blocks, but it does have electric hook ups.

Do come here though if you want a unique experience. If you like animals and care for their natural environment then this is the place for you. Truly free range fowl of all sorts who are more than happy to make friends with you in exchange for the odd titbit. Lambs, piglets and dogs all provide day long amusement together with the pigs wallowing in their element.

Situated directly alongside the canal you can walk to your heart's contents to many local hostelries who all offer a warm welcome.

Strolling along the canal provides great chances to chat with the boaters and to help out at the locks if this is your thing.

We stayed for a week and didn't want to leave. What a lovely place, never found anything like it elsewhere.

We will be back.
