Don't come here if you want site facilities such as toilet and shower blocks, but it does have electric hook ups.
Do come here though if you want a unique experience. If you like animals and care for their natural environment then this is the place for you. Truly free range fowl of all sorts who are more than happy to make friends with you in exchange for the odd titbit. Lambs, piglets and dogs all provide day long amusement together with the pigs wallowing in their element.
Situated directly alongside the canal you can walk to your heart's contents to many local hostelries who all offer a warm welcome.
Strolling along the canal provides great chances to chat with the boaters and to help out at the locks if this is your thing.
We stayed for a week and didn't want to leave. What a lovely place, never found anything like it elsewhere.
We will be back.

Parking and levelling on the sloping site with the remains of mediaeval ridge farming are interesting and the facilities are rudimentary or non-existent, BUT.
Others will wax lyrical about the pigs, piglets, rams, sheep, lambs and many dogs. We happened to have a kilo or two of bird food left over from previous trips elsewhere.
If you have never seen truly free-range chickens, geese and ducks running towards you, at full speed, from 50m, thinking they are missing out on dinner, this will be a unique experience. After a short while you can be feeding them by hand (perhaps not small fingered hands!). The cockerels soon learn to crow outside the 'van for more titbits and we were even presented with a fresh warm duck egg, laid within a metre of the door.
A 2. 4km stroll down the canal footpath takes you to the Great Western Arms (good food, Hook Norton), with a further km to the gastro pub, Duke of Cumberland's Head at Clifton.
A longer circular walk of 10. 5km through Kings Sutton and Adderbury will take you past the White Horse (no longer housing a Chinese, but with a chef, Marstons), The Butchers Arms (gastro pub, Hook Norton), The Three Tuns (Sport pub - not lager swilling - dominos and pool etc, extremely friendly, Shepherd Neame or free house) then on to Adderbury and the Coach and Horses (small, friendly, Wadworths), the Bell Inn (very comfortable and friendly, four Hook Norton ales) and then the Red Lion (larger, but still very original and friendly, Greene King).
The somewhat wobbly walk back takes you past the Plough which is currently closed.

I love this place. Picked it so that we could be handy to an early morning destination but didn't want to leave.
Woke to the happy sounds of cocks crowing, piglets squealing (happily) and ducks quacking. We lay in bed watching the pigs doing pig things. Perfect site, not fussy, interesting owners and lifestock (including the dogs) and great great food.
Don't bother looking for another farm shop the provisions available where more than ample, and the Buffalo milk chocolate ice cream (to die for).
We will be making our way back here.

Excellent small site with lots of interest. We loved the animals, the canal, the sausages and bacon and the proximity to so many interesting places.
The owners were very helpful and welcoming and the freshly cooked bacon roll on arrival was excellent and inexpensive.
The ground is a little uneven but that adds to the quirkiness of the site and the owner is ready with chocks of wood to help level your unit if you don't have the appropriate ramps.
The walk along the canal to the pub was well worth it as we had an excellent meal there. We will definitely return to this site.

I want to leave a negative review - purely to stop others flocking here and spoiling what I'm certain will become a regular bolt-hole for us!
However there is nothing negative at all that I can say!
This little site is a dream come true for us. Fantastic rare-breeds livestock to marvel at all day, with the tranquillity of the canal and surrounding views to add to the experience - even the M40 (slight drone) 'disappears' after a short while.
Dean and Sara are great fun - helping Dean with an impromptu pig-ark move in torrential rain turned out to be the biggest laugh we've had in ages!
Then of course there's the produce! Sausages and Eggs to die for! We also bought loads home with us, different cuts, which I'm sure will equal the sausages for quality and flavour.
We can't wait to return - this time the hot-tub will be part of the experience!
Bearing in mind we only live 4 miles away we felt as though it could have been anywhere.

A little gem of a place. Just spent bank holiday weekend at The Pig Place not at all what we expected. Ok, the ground is a little unlevel but easily corrected with Chocks. No toilet/shower block but not a problem with modern caravans and chemical disposal point easily accessible, also has electric hook ups. Little shop on site selling the products from the smallholding and a very limited supply of essentials ie washing up liquid etc, best pork sausages, bacon and eggs we have ever tasted! Make a brilliant breakfast. The owners very welcoming and helpful and have a good sense of humour. The daily entertainment was provided by the pigs, they were absolutely hilarious particularly the piglets who played 'tag' most of the day. Around the site are the essential supermarkets, pubs for meals out and glorious walks along the Oxford Canal. The M40 is quite close but does not hinder on the peace and quiet even at its most busiest. We will certainly return.
