I want to say its terrible, only because it would put people off and would make it easier for us booking in future.

Great campsite, great facilities and the couple that greeted us were very nice. They have a nice small lake for fishing. No luck for me.

Definitely recommend this site. Very relaxing.

PS The shower is £1.00 for 5 mins. Dont be put of by this. The facilities are excellent. We both managed to have a shower in 5 minutes, with time to spare.

Had a really nice stay for 1 night as part of a multi day cycling tour, visiting Bury St Edmunds.

Quiet rural location and very well looked after facilities.

Would definitely recommend and look to stay again when cycling in the area.

Large flat field, well maintained and quiet at night in rural area. Was a little tricky to find.

Facilities of the highest standard though there may be queues in busy times as just the two wc /shower /basin cubicles and 2 washing up sinks for the number of pitches.

Not cheap especially considering Covid restrictions meant the cubicles were shut for the night and the showers require payment.

This was our first outing of 2020 due to Covid, usually spending several months in Europe. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this small but well laid out site, blessed with lovely weather, and it felt quite safe.

Pitches were of a good size, on flat, neatly mown grass, marked by beds of shrubs. Water taps are one between two pitches. Grey water can be disposed of by trailing hose into the hedge. Both make caravan life easier creating an almost serviced pitch.

Two neat and clean bathrooms with loo, basin and shower are available, but shower is operated with a meter at £1 for 5 minutes which we thought was a bit steep. Used once but didn’t like the clock-watching on holiday so tried our on-board facilities which we’ve always shied away from but we’re now sold on the idea if faced with a similar situation.

Had a few days out and about, including Bury St. Edmunds (lovely wide streets, independent shops, cathedral, gardens, market), Stowmarket for supermarket shop and delicious light lunch at the speciality pancake place, Lavenham for its many old buildings, Flatford Mill for a Constable themed walk, Southwold (just over an hour away) to be beside the sea (though it was too busy for my liking under the current circumstances). Not sure what we would have done had the weather been bad, but the site is good for just chilling out, and a credit to the owners.

A torch would be useful if walking about after dark, though we did experience some starry nights with so little light pollution. Missed having internet which we find so useful for research as well as staying in touch but we got by with mobile ‘phone. Good TV reception.

At £20 a night (payment by cash) we considered it good value and would definitely use again.

Our first time here and we were blessed with good weather and peaceful, scenic surroundings.

The facilities were open but operating in line with the Covid rules.

It was nice to meet Jane and her family each day as she checked we were ok.

My husband enjoyed the on site fishing.

We visited some local places too.

Lovely peaceful site with plenty of space between pitches, good facilities and calming countryside views.

Very friendly owners who obviously take a pride in the place.

This was our first overnight stay in our new (to us) campervan and we couldn’t have found a nicer spot. We hope to return.

We had a fantastic time! It was a very friendly and accommodating site with very good facilities and the fishing was good!

There was some vehicle noise from the road during the day but that is to be expected in a rural community.

We can't wait to go again next year!

I believe the review left by Telsony may of been left on the wrong campsite? High Town House pitches are very spacious, toilets are very clean and new.

The campsite is a quiet site with no workmen on site.

Would highly recommend!

What a lovely, well appointed and peaceful site. We had booked for 7 nights but unfortunately had to leave a few day early due to illness (non Covid).

The owners were extremely helpful and very friendly and were happy for the van to be left and collected a few days later.

We loved the site which was a late booking and far above expectation. A beautiful lakeside location with rural views.

The grass is well maintained with the pitches in the main being separated by a small copse of trees. Caravan could be sited width ways allowing for broad views of the site and lake.

Excellent new modern toilet block. Everything we considered to be 'tip top' Pity we had to leave early but will definitely return. Paul and Christine.
