Great stay. Water and electric points never more than 50 yard apart.
Only has one shower. Cost 1pound but delivers hot water instantly.
Only one toilet and one washing up sink but it's all very clean and comfortable. A nice little feature was their shop. Well the shed with a big fridge to use and many essential items for sale with an honesty box.
The lake is definitely a pond but very tranquil. Fish were always biting.
The owners brought us some wood to burn in the evenings and made us feel welcome.
Overall the site was small but felt more personal.

We cycled to Henry's Lake on a cold Easter Saturday and received a very warm friendly welcome (the owner had left us a note too in case she was out when we arrived). Site was clean and tidy. Loo, sink etc spotless. Little shop-in-a-shed with kettle, microwave and fridge invaluable. (We bought the wherewithal for lunch for the following day there as we weren't sure what we would find open on Easter Sunday). We walked to the village for a pint in the evening(a nice walk via quiet lanes - about 2 miles each way) where there are two pubs (and a shop/post office. The starlit walk back to the campsite was incredible. Very nice spot.

We rang and booked very last minute on New Year Eve for that night. And yes they were open! We had the site to ourselves and our very recently bought campervan.
The pitches are indeed roomy but slightly boggy but it was December! Because of this we were advised the best place to camp for the night rather than the pitches close to the lake.
The site had a perfectly clean and roomy toilet and had water points dotted around the site so if it had been full, you wouldn't have to go far.
We chose this site as it was open and had electric hookup but would definitely come back and make use of the fishing lake.

Superb site. Friendly helpful owners. We were in a tent, and did have our own facilities, but there is a toilet which is spacious and spotlessly kept. Small 'shop in a shed' holds essential supplies - certainly enough to keep you going until able to venture out. The nearest supermarkets are in Stowmarket ( ASDA and Tesco open till 11. 00pm)
Outside washing up sink has only cold water, but there is a kettle provided in the shed to boil water. Our fridge had broken down but we were able to use the fridge in the shed.
Lovely peaceful setting - obviously popular with fishermen due to the lake, but equally pleasant for the non fishing types to enjoy the quiet setting. The nearest pub is a drive - depends on what you want, for us it was exactly the quiet isolation we had hoped for.
Pitches are marked and fair size- all flat around the edge of the site. Dog friendly( the owner prefers them kept on a lead due to the fishing lake- but footpaths opposite site for off the lead walks)Reserve judgement as how suitable it is for young children due to the lake ( personally I wouldn't mind). BBQ's allowed if off the ground

What a gem of a site. The owners are helpful, charming and friendly, happy to spend time chatting if you want to.
The site is very quiet, the most noise you get are the gliders from the nearby airfield 'wooshing' high above.
The site is very tidy with a lovely view across the fields and the lake. We didn't use the facilities as we had our own but I am sure they are as neat and tidy as the rest of the site.
The lake is a fishermans dream. Very mixed bag including pink orfe, bream, crucian and common carp and tench. The fish are in excellent condition and the lake, swims and banks are well mown and secure.
The caravans are only a hop and skip from the lake for when you get caught in a downpour!
Plenty of water points and waste water disposal points. Waste disposal is out of eyesight with easy access.
All in all a great place especially if you like fishing. This was our first visit but we'll be going back again and again.
