We have stayed at this site several times now and will continue to go back for future visits. The site is peaceful and set in a beautiful location. It is well maintained with a well stocked fishing lake. The cost is £20 per night for electrical hook up with no ridiculous add ons that you get at a lot of other sites these days. Not far from the village of Lavenham and the town of Bury St Edmunds which are both well worth a visit. The site now has new owners which we found to be extremely friendly, approachable and helpful. The pitches are a good size and there is plenty of room for ball games etc and for children to run around.
We will definitely be going back to this site and will be recommending it to friends

We stayed at Henry's lake over the easter weekend and camped with friends. Lovely and peaceful as previous visit, site was almost fully booked.
Was a little disappointed as the only toilet ran out of loo roll for nearly two days as hadn't been attended too, the hand dryer also not working - thank good we bought our own loo roll or it may of caused problems, once lack of loo rolls pointed out to site owner was however rectified very quickly
The heater in the shower was not working either - which with the weather not being very warm would of been nice to have had a little warmth while getting dry and dressed.
I am sure we will visit again and love the location

Nice !. There, I've said it ! Nice !
The campsite, although slightly squishy after days of rain, was lovely. Nicely tended. With views across the fields to the airfield (Dont panic, Gliders make no noise!)in one direction and down to the lake the other.
There are plenty of electric and water points. A good Toilet in a shed. Another portacabin with a shower and sink, and another shed with an honesty shop in it. All very nicely kept.
The small lake/large pond is well stocked with all sorts of course fish who were very happy to surrender themselves to me.
Access is very good even for the largest of units. But do follow the instructions from the A14 or you will come a cropper !
The nearest pub seemed to be a bit of a hike (maybe there is a closer one but we didn't find it).
The shower costs £1.
Some road noise can be heard from the lane but as it is nearly winter there arent many leaves to muffle the sound. I imagine it would be quieter in summer.
All in all this is a lovely Cs. Yes at £17 a night its a bit dear for a 5 van site, but its definitely worth a visit.
Would we go back ? = Yes !
Would we recommend it to others ? = Yes

The most peaceful campsite we have ever visited - noisiest things was the gliders from nearby gliding club, other campers friendly
Good value for money as only £17 a night with electric
Very clean and welcoming, visited with friends who have camped here before, will be introducing to other camping friends as we are sure they will love this site.
Small shop if you run out of the odd essential - not manned as has honesty box
Lovely rural location - Henry lake we will be back

This Site is lovely. Lots of space between Units with separate areas for visitors and Caravan Club Members.
Very secluded, ideal if you just want a quiet, slow paced break.
The owners are wonderful, helpful, also so welcoming and friendly. The shop is very small, however, the lady running the site will get anything you need, all you have to do is ask.
We are making this a regular place to go and chill out.

We have visited here on a few occasions as it is fairly close to us and a pleasant location. A small site with good fishing and lovely views, no playground for the little ones but plenty of room to kick a ball around etc. Only one toilet and one shower for the whole site which is ok most of the time but would be nice if there were more when it is busy. This is a no frills site but very relaxing especially if it's not too busy, owner friendly enough but not in your face at all which is nice.

Last minute booking for a quiet few days away, Kate was very pleasant taking our booking. The site is set in beautifully, tranquil Suffolk country side. The shower and toilet were very clean and there was a fridge for general use if needed. A lovely fishing lake for either a pleasant walk round or to fish. An extremely friendly welcome and recommendations of places to eat. We couldn't fault our visit, well done Kate, we wish you well.

Just back from four glorious days at henrys lake. I've got say not only was the weather outstanding, but also this nice quite tranquil location. I just cant fault it. The pitches were very good. The shower and toilet facilities were excellent. The fishing was also very good, with a wide variety of fish to catch. The owners were attentive and friendly. Ideal spot if you like to explore the surrounding countryside. All in all a very nice little site.

The 9 out of 10 score for this site is well deserved and in my opinion it should be 10 out of 10.
This is a small remote site but certainly worth visiting if you're after a a quiet couple of days away.
The site is very clean and the owners very friendly and helpful. It has a single separate shower and toilet, both exceptionally clean and well presented.
The lake creates a tranquil environment even if you don't fish (like us).
The owners have put a great deal of thought into the small details which make a big difference. Like folding the towels in the toilet and 4 bricks with each pitch for BBQ's
This is a lovely site and we'll be more than happy to return.

The good news about this excellent site started before we had even arrived.
We had requested several weeks ago a pitch as near as possible to the toilet facilities for my son who has a walking disability. 2 days before we arrived Mrs Henry sent an e mail confirming the pitch had duly been reserved. Quality service.
Although its in a fairly remote part of Suffolk its well worth visiting. Lovely site and despite there being only 1 shower and 1 toilet, both were immaculately clean and always seemed available.
Fishing is excellent and suitable for all levels and the lake doesn't appear to be overfished.
Mr and Mrs Henry are both very helpful and very welcoming.
We wish the site was a little closer to us because we would use it every weekend.
We shall return one day though because site, location and surrounding area are too good not too.
