We are both in our early 60s and were looking for somewhere nice to go to for a 2 or 3 day break. We live in Devon so didn't want to travel too far and the North Devon coast is superb. We found the staff very friendly and helpful and the site is very clean and tidy. The showers/toilets were spotless. The site is in a lovely position with a nice bar which does good food. If you want night time entertainment just a short walk up the road to their other site, Twitchen House, there is a clubhouse with entertainment and lots to do for children. It also has an outdoor pool. You are free to use the facilities at all 4 of their sites and they run a bus service between them which I believe you pay for. It was a very quiet period when we were there and we enjoyed that.

Just back from 5 nights here for Easter.

Lovely quiet site, and having seen the pitches on the other sites so glad we chose Easewell

We were on field A pitch 16, hardstanding for folding camper with the awning on grass.

This pitch was right by the kids play park but didn't get too noisy. Also the steps that lead to the toilets / dish washing / recycling bins / shop etc were just opposite our pitch.

We didn't use the on site pool, instead we used the one @ Twitchen house, which is bigger and has a separate viewing area and lockers etc.

You have to get tokens from reception to gain access to the pool area. Lockers are £1 coin operated.

Didn't eat on site, just drinks so cannot comment on the food / menus at all.

Toilet block always clean and saw cleaners in there many times during our stay. Block shut between 12pm - 2pm for it's main clean.

Lovely hot water for showers and washing up. There's a baby change area and baby bath with shower attachment, which I thought was a nice touch.

Hair dryers ( but not very powerful!) in the ladies but socket to plug your own appliance in.

Lovely walks from the site, and you can get the parks yellow bus if you don't want to drive

(and park!) @ the beach in Woolacombe. Bus tickets £4 per adult per break. The bus also goes between all 4 parks and you can use facilities at all of them

Had a lovely meal @ The Bay Brasserie in Woolacombe, not cheap but very good food.

We will definitely be back to camp @ Easewell

Often stay at Golden Coast which is also part of the Woolacombe group of sites. This one has good pitches on it and is nicely kept. There is a shop stocking the basics and a few other bits but the hours are very limited at October half term, better in high season.

There is a small pool on site but we never used it, not sure it would cope well with a lot of people trying to use it. There is a small cafe / chip shop on site too. It also has a bar which is good and there is occasional entertainment.

If you are looking for a quieter few days but with enough to keep you occupied if you fancy it this site would be good.

We have kids though and I won't go back as there isn't enough to keep them amused for long, you would be better off at another of the groups sites.

Staff seamed polite and helpful although not many of them, at this time of year, Lots of caravans but only a very few occupied.

Toilet block seemed tired but clean with plenty of hot water but no heating. Showers lacked any bench or seat, only a couple of hooks on the door to put your clothes on.

Site has it`s own own bus doing a round trip of their other sites and the beach [costs £4. 00 per week ] going every hour.

There is also First National buses passing the entrance every 1/2 hour both ways between ILfracombe and Mortehoe via Woolacombe beach.

Good 9 hole golf course and Dog exercise field.

Concrete pitch [only just wide enough for van] forcing you to walk on the grass, which was very wet and sloping.

The Autumn offer of 4 nights for the price of 2 seemed right, not worth more.

We booked here through a newspaper offer and all had a great weekend.

I came with my husband and two children and was worried that it might be too late in the year to camp but despite having rain and strong winds all weekend we were not cold!

The campsite was always clean, the toilets and showers were spotless - I especially liked the baby bathing area! There was no rubbish around and it was all quiet.

The only moan I have is that none of the staff (bar man excluded) seemed to want to help us and were not very friendly.

Would I go back? Probably.

This is a lovely campsite and the facilities are great. Its not far from woolacombe bay so a quick journey in the car and you are there.

At peak season the carparks are £7 near the beach.

I stayed in a tent with two kids and a dog and we all loved the site, shop was not over priced, friendly staff, great opening times.

Pool was rather small but that's my only moan.

All in all I would return here again and again as it really was lovely.

Cant comment on male toilets as did not use however, the ladies had plenty of free showers, nice hot water, plenty of toilets and sinks, free hairdryers also.

Washing up area had boiling hot water also :o)

Short walk into the village (very nice) had local pubs, shops and fish & chips.

Woolacombe beach is great, sectioned off into areas. We had a dog which loved the beach and had loads of beach to run free on.

Wetsuits can be hired on the beach £22 1 adult and 2 kids for 4 hours. Great fun.

Also shops available, beach kit, drinks, food etc

If using SATNAV it will take you to the rear of the campsite (back gate which is locked)

Hope to return again very soon

We chose Easewell because it was described as the more rural and relaxed of the four Woolacombe Bay parks. We were 'upgraded' to an all weather pitch and were really disappointed. There was row upon row of pitches, all squeezed in together with very little privacy - it felt like being in a storage facility or car park.

There is a bus service which picks up and drops off at all four parks and the beach which is really useful and great value at £4 per person for the week - you can use it as many times as you like. To get the most out of the the cost of the pitches it's definitely worth using the facilities at the other parks, especially the free kids clubs which are useful on a rainy day and didn't get too full when we were there.

The on site pub is great - there is a pool table, full size snooker table, long skittles and table tennis, and a pretty patio area with a water feature overlooking a pond - the whole bar/restaurant are is very child friendly and relaxed.

There is a play area with good equipment for children, although this was dominated by groups of pre-teen children when we were there - three times my son had bark chips thrown in his face and was understandably upset.

The swimming pool is good but as it is not attended by staff it lends itself to silly behaviour from older children/young teens (ie dive bombing into the shallow baby pool) which was unpleasant for those with young children, especially at busy times. There is a CCTV camera, it's a shame this isn't used to monitor behaviour and numbers of users.

The toilets and showers were not as clean as other sites we have been to, although the showers themselves were lovely and warm with good water pressure.

The golf course is lovely and didn't seem to get busy at all and there are some lovely National Trust footpaths leading from the site.

The staff were very helpful and it's worth asking them about local walks as they're not always signposted. If you plan to walk to Mortehoe (where there are a couple of pubs, the seafood shop and a lovely cream tea shop) and have children, take the footpath through the campsite as the road to Mortehoe is very narrow.

Would we go back? Probably not, but if we couldn't get in anywhere else and wanted to be in the area then yes, but on a grass pitch.

Booked at the last minute for the Easter weekend. Forgot to specify that we wanted a grass pitch instead of the all weather pitch. When we arrived they managed to find a pitch on grass.

The site was well maintained and the toilets clean regularly. Did not experience them being closed during the day.

The local fish restaurant had started there weekly visit to the site, so indulged in some barbecued tuna, which went down well. I agree the take away bar is fantastic value and you do not need to take it away you can eat in the cafe at the back. Great service and very friendly - helped with the crossword we were stuck on.

The site was quite noisy at night - maybe it was because groups were allowed - these are not allowed in peak season.

There are quite a few walks and cycle rides that run from the site.

It was the first time we had visited this area for around 10 years and we chose this site basically as we booked 2 days before we were to arrive and there was a special offer on.

When we booked the pitch I enquired and requested a large pitch to ensure that we would not be cramped into a little space. We were assured that upon arrival we would be able to have a look around and choose our pitch.

Upon arrival we were allocated a pitch on the C field. These are not very spacious and if like us you have a large tent and a car you struggle to keep your car near your pitch as the access to the other pitches runs right in front of your pitch so you can not leave you car there.

We enquired about other pitches and were told that there were no more available for our stay.

The toilets were OK but during the day the only ladies toilets/showers are closed for several hours and they have to use the toilets in the bar.

We used the facilities on the other sites and could only say that these were excellent.

I don't think that we will visit this site again but will probably try the Woolacombe Bay site.

This is our second time at Easewell Farm and we were pleased to see that the high standards we enjoyed last year are being maintained.

Good facilities including: well stocked, good value shop, clean uncrowded toilets and showers with plentiful hot water, three hotel style hairdryers-personally I don't like these as they are never powerful enough, take your own. Unfortunately there is only one electric socket at the vanity area which is ok if you are the only one there.

The site has large refuse bins and recycling facility.

Clean washing up area, good launderette facility with two dryers, two washers, an iron and ironing board, and several belfast sinks to wash out your wet suits. Good children's play area although a little small, bar, takeaway, heated swimming pool. Glad to see that the pool has a security coded door which is a reassurance when you have kids that are very keen to go in!

I notice that the caravan and electric hook up sites have been pea gravelled this year, good for caravans but probably not good if you want to pitch your tent, might be difficult to get pegs in and may be damaging to your ground sheets

We stayed on the large camping field (E) on a nice level pitch, plenty of room for our 8 berth with annexe.

One criticism I have is that dogs are allowed on site. There is a separate dog exercise area but some owners persisted in allowing their animals to foul and exercise on the tent pitches.
