Visited with 2 young children, and they loved it, the play park is brilliant and kept them well entertained while we pitched the tent!
Nice site, we would return, and v friendly wardens. Showers, only 3 for the whole site, with push buttons, but room to hang clothes to stay dry, and power points for hairdryers.
Little shop opens at various times, they have an indoor games room for wet weather, and parking away from the tent is no hardship.
There was a 'chav' element, come late at night some youths hung around the washing up room, and blared their radios loudly while shovelling on make-up in the ladies.
Luckily we were pitched away from the pre-erected tents, and it was lovely :)
There is a gate to walk down leading direct to a larger park & another play area.
Near the river, lovely area, and we were lucky it shone all day!
Cost us £24 for 1 night in the school holidays, perfect.

Great campsite, the location is excellent and right next to the river Thames. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown to our pitch which was in a great spot and had loads of space between other caravans.
We were there for 4 days, we were in a group attended a family party near by and the residents were really helpful in offering local taxi numbers and advice.
We were lucky on have fantastic weather and hardly saw our children as the play area is so fantastic they didn't want to come back even for dinner, the little shop was well stocked and opened various times throughout the day.
The showers were kept spotless and although they did have trouble with the water pressure one day they worked hard to put it right quickly.
This was a nice site and is run by a committee which is good as there are always people about if you have a problem or question.
Please don't expect luxury showers and facilities but they are of a good standard and very very clean which is the most important thing for us.
I noticed someone mentioned not being able to ride bikes, I didn't find this a problem as you are right next to a massive park area and fields which you can cycle to your hearts content.
Loved it so much have booked to go back again. Our only thoughts are that it is a little expensive for a weekend (2 nights)away works out for 2 ad and 2 children with caravan £80 but then again the location is amazing.

Very friendly and helpful at reception. Lovely location and excellent for Thorpe Park and a short walk from Chertsey. It seems to have a wide variety of pitches.
I booked via a form on the website and they very helpfully called me back shortly afterwards. As I was only booking a night they let me pay on arrival.
I was met at the reception tent and escorted to the pitch site and car park. As it was my first time they even offered to help me put up my tent (Should have taken them up on that!).
Fantastic for anyone who likes fishing or boating.

Used this site as a stopover heading to france. Lovely location decent pitch and friendly wardens, however you cant leave your car at the pitch which I didn't like and my 3 year old couldn't ride her new bike as bikes arent allowed its only a starter bike with stabilisers but I understand it one rule for all which is fair enough.
Got the feeling this site was full of cliquey regulars and a few workers. It seemed like different rules for the regulars than others. It could be a wonderful site but needs some work.
No real complaints but probably wont go back.

We stayed in a pre-erected family tent for three nights. When we arrived there was a very warm welcome. We were showed to the tent which was very spacious and fully equipped with everything you need. There was a large living area with a two ring gas cooker and fridge. There was plenty of storage, Also there were table and chairs for inside use and patio table and chairs for outside. The bedrooms were an ample size with one twin which we fitted three 17yr olds in and two singles.
The camp site is in a lovely wooded area with a huge park at the back we took our little westie dog and she loved it, The dog was also made welcome which is sometimes not the case.
The shower block was cleaned twice a day and was spotless. There was a children's playground with everything little ones desire. They also have a lot of fun activities for all the family. Thorpe park is only a 10min drive away and is easy to get too.
There are a few local pubs that serve good food a short drive away. There is a little shop on the campsite that sells the bare essentials. The campsite is right next to the river thanes.
All residents on the campsite are very friendly. We would recommend this campsite and would use it again

This site is very close to home as we wanted to try out our hired Motorhome somewhere convenient for one night and this fitted the bill perfectly as they take bookings for one night only.
The site is in a good riverside location, a short cycle/walk to a nearby pub. There is constant road noise from the nearby motorway. The pitch was a bit uneven, site and facilities quite basic but functional, plenty of hot water.
The site was quite busy many people obviously have a permanently pitched tent.
Site warden friendly and easy going. The major plus point is the playground which the children loved. They have a small shop that opens for limited times but we did not use this. As with many sites, there was no recycling facilities but there was in the adjacent public park. A good site for a short stop over.

Camped here again for the 6th year running. Site was clean except for the bins which overflow with rubbish whilst waiting to be emptied. Some improvements have been made with a small on-site shop (open at selected times)and the car park enlarged and now accessed through the camp site which meant even on a busy night returnig at 10 there were still spaces.
The site may have only basic facilities but all are clean and working. The location is great, near the park, river and great for London and Windsor. Will return again.

We have stayed here several times now and find it to be clean, well ordered and a great central location. Thorpe Park about 20 mins away and near for Legoland too. Central London possible only a short train ride away - so loads to do nearby.
The campsite is right next to the Thames and very pretty, few nice pubs in the area and obviously shops and amenities only a short drive away. Nearest supermarket in Chertsey about 10 mins in the car.
Its quite a structured campsite, plenty of rules to adhere to. You book in with one of the ladies who live on site and they take you to suggest pitches but I guess you could ask for an alternative if you didn't like where they suggest. No cars on site, except for unloading but that's not a problem - nice safe car park accessed through a gate. Its only a small site and lots of permenant tents but we've always found people to be friendly. Lots of kids on the site and we felt happy to let them go off on their own. Nice playground in the middle with sandpit, swings and climbing frame. Theres always been lots of children whenever we've been and our kids especially love going there and making friends. The shower block is great, always clean and hardly any queues. 3 showers each, nice a big with hooks for your clothes, only downside is they are pushbutton ones which I find a pain! Bit tricky with kids especially if they can't reach and you are dressed! Mostly hot but sometimes cooler at busy times. Lots of loos and washbasins all really clean. Big mirrors and plugs to do hair and make up - more of a need in London! The un-washed look wouldn't go down so well I think! Theres a nice washing up area also with plugs and washing machines which we've never used.
All in all a nice, tidy little site, friendly people, nice clean facilities and great central location. Good price too! Would recommend!

Not recommended. Its a shame because the site is beside the River Thames & could be a great place to stay.
The pitch was small, facilities clean but showers very poor. We couldn't have showers on the second day as there was no water pressure.
Children are not allowed to cycle bikes on site or play football, cricket etc! A big disappointment.
Playground was ok but lots of the resident children were left to there own devices and badly behaved ie throwing sand at other younger ones.
The wardens were the most unwelcoming people I have ever come across in 40yrs of camping, disorganised with no customer care skills at all.
The local pubs were lovely and walking along the river very pleasant.

We camped at Laleham in June this year, Laleham is a really friendly family campsite.
On the weekend that we stayed there was lots of entertainment for all the children, I think this was a special weekend which they put on every year.
The toilets were very clean and showers good.
Will be staying here again and would recommend to everybody.
