Visited here for the weekend while we visited Legoland and Carp Fest. Arrived with a friendly welcome and was shown our plot for the 2 nights. My son was really excited to see the play area including a sandpit. As soon as we had parked he was off while will put up the tent. Toilets and showers were excellent never needed to wait. Washing up facilities excellent with laundry area if needed. I liked the no cars on site rule, this let the children have a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this site and will be returning in the summer.

A wonderful site lovely views of the river, site was nice and quite and clean, showers and rest of facility were brilliant. Close to everything, the three horseshoe pub did a lovely breakfast, and was only a 10 min walk. Will be using this site again Carl and Sharon from Skegness

Stayed for a long bank holiday weekend. Not been before so didn't know what to expect. Cheap and friendly enough but our kids were disappointed with the no bikes rule and the play area has seen better days for sure. Very noisy disco until 12.30am on the Saturday night! On the plus side great for travel into London for a day and lovely location on the river.

We stayed at Laleham for two nights and found it to be a fantastic site. The facilities are cleaned regularly and the showers are always hot. The nearest shops and pub are a bit of a walk away but it is a pleasant trek along the Thames where you can see ducks and swans who will flock over for bread. Kids pack is great and there are strict rules for children's safety throughout the site. We found the site staff helpful and polite but be warned do not break or even bend any of their rules if you want to survive. Overall a great site we'll defiantly return. Good access to Thope Park and Chessigton World of Adventures from here

Extremely disappointed that children were not allowed to ride their bikes (for even one minute) without being told they were breaking the rules. Adults appeared to be able to ride their bikes without being chastised. The receptionist did not seem over friendly towards children and hence we will not be returning to this site, albeit the location was perfect for boating on the river. A lovely pub, called The Kingfisher, turn left out of the campsite for a ten minute walk, served a perfect meal for the six of us (10 out of 10). Great for a one or two night stop over (quiet at night) and good to see the locks at Chertsey in operation.
We had a great stop over but felt that we could not make any noise or break any rule for even a second - such a shame for what could have been a perfect break.
P.S. Even the dogs were disappointed - and that takes a lot of beating.

Just a few words about this site.we found it very clean and friendly.the warden was very help full. The showers and toilets where clean. And so was the other facilities.the only draw back is your car cannot be parked on site by your van, but out side in a designated parking area four the camp site, which if you are out till late you may have to park on the pay and display park by the main entrance.the pay and display is from 08.00 to 18.00hrs. But apart from that we had a good weekend. So a credit to the owners and wardens.

Been to this site as a little boy ( only a Few Years ago ) and found it again 4 years ago and never looked back since. The site is just as I remember it. Right adjacent to the river and NO VEHICLES allowed to be parked on site unless loading or unloading. Very safe if you have children. Staff very friendly and helpful willing to help you out any way they can. Always booked up so if you want to get on you must book early to stand a chance. Toilet block and washing up areas are immaculately clean. For the price I think it is excellent value for money. You don't have to pay for anything once you have paid your site fees. By that I mean Hot Water is free - showers are free - You don't pay extra for awnings or to take a dog with you. Only thing is if you take a dog with you you ca not leave it in the caravan all day and go out but this is a good thing to protect your pets. What else can I say about it other than excellent value for money. I shall be going back again next year and I am sure that if you have not tried it and you do then you will go back again and again and enjoy the lovely pleasant atmosphere you expect when you go on holiday.

Nice site. Cheap, quiet, with good riverside walks nearby. Nice play area for kids & cracking nice hot free showers. Watch your cars underside on the perimeter track tho ! its a bit bumpy. No cars on site except for loading/unloading added to the laidback peaceful athmoshere. All in all a very plesant site within half an hour of Legoland. We will use this site again in the future.

Laleham is a very pleasant and peaceful site situated next to the river tames, we only went they because of it proximity to Chessington and Thorpe park but would go back with out that reason. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, facilities were of a high standard. well done for a cracking site, cant wait to go back and explore more of the area.

We stayed at this site when we went to a concert at Twickenham Rugby Ground. We found everyone very friendly and generally a lovely atmosphere. The facilities were good and kept clean. Nice to see family groups and "tent-neighbours" just enjoying the camping. But be warned - other reviews here which quote the walk time to Staines as 15 minutes for the signposted 2 2/3 miles are very difficult to match! We walk a lot but the walk along the towpath takes much longer and so do allow more time if you have a train to catch. But we would certainly do this again for another concert in the SW of London.
