The facilities are quite basic though clean & tidy.
It's a short 5 min walk to a lovely beach though dogs are not allowed from April to October.
The views from the site however are absolutely stunning, possibly the best I have ever seen from a campsite.
A diamond in the rough.

The location is amazing with stunning views, especially at sunset. Really quiet and peaceful when we were there.
I know this has been written before on previous reviews but more showers and toilets would be nice.
But as the campsite was not overly busy it was not such an issue.
Really enjoyed our stay, thank you!

An absolute gem of a campsite, we felt so lucky to have managed to find it as it’s not one you come across easily either on the road or online!
Stunning views, a lovely warm welcome, and the most beautiful beach within walking distance.
Very easy route down to the beach, the steps are well made and there’s even a little kiosk on the way down selling coffee, bacon rolls, paddle boards etc.
Couldn’t recommend it more, we hope to be back!

Very welcoming and helpful.
The views are spectacular and the link to the Wales coast path is a 5 mins walk away
We were placed by the static vans and the facilities were adequate and clean
No wash up facilities in our area but the 1 sink for the site was just in the next field with extra shower and toilets.
A bigger wash up area is needed but that is a minute detail
With the camp sites we have visited I would rate Ty Gwyn 7/10 and 10/10 for the hosts

Great location saw Dolphins playing in the water only a short walk from the campsite.
Basic facilities for too many people with not enough toilets and girlfriend often had to queue for the toilet.
Only one sink for washing up pot and pans.

Lovely site In Mwnt just on coastal path. Showers and toilets clean. Only two toilets and one shower so if campsite is busy then there would be a long queue.
There were two portatoilets which I didn't use. Depending on where you pitched to how far you had to walk to toilet.
The shower temperature was set for you and was just warm enough. Unfortunately we left a day early because it was too windy.
Not far from cardigan and 40 mins from aberearon and Newquay (Dyfed). Opportunity to see seals and dolphin

What a fab little site, tremendous views, beautiful to see the sunset behind the hill with the little white church at its base.
Easy access to walk to Mwnt beach, and get onto the coastal path.
Not commercialised, peaceful, and a retired horse over the hedge! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Ty Gwyn is a beautiful, simple campsite in a stunning location. All I had to do to see the sea was to open the tent and sit up!
If you want a campsite with all the bells and whistles, this is not the place for you. If you want peace, quiet, a bit of dolphin spotting, and don't mind simple amenities, then I highly recommend it.
(That said, if you have a flimsy tent, beware of camping here in strong winds. It is an exposed location and we lost two tents to a gale thee years ago. )
