Pitches were a fair size. Our pitch was right next to the children's play area which was good for smaller children but a bit young for our children aged 6, 8 and 10. Unfortunately it was also near to the great big electricity pylon that is in the middle of the site, had I known this was there I wouldn't have booked this campsite. The showers were really nice but as we went in high season you did have to queue for quite a while, same with the washing up as there were only 3 sinks. We also a problem with being told the children needed to be quiet at 7.30pm, this was very difficult as it was still light and they wanted to play. My best bit about the site was the hot pain au chocolate that you could order for breakfast they were great but still not enough to make me return.

We stayed here for 2 nights and our pitch was on the golf course field which is only open for a few weeks per year. We had plenty of room and as we were pitched on the far side of the field away from the parked cars and kids playground it was pretty quiet. We did think the pitches looked quite small and very close together in the other fields but if we could stay on the golf field again we would probably go back. The loos etc. Were always clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We did struggle a bit with walking our dog as there didn't seem to be any direct access to open space or woods but the site seemed pretty laid back about dogs not being tethered so most of the dogs in our field were getting plenty of exercise chasing each other!

Nice sized site, small shop and cafe. Fresh croissants and bread in the morning - remember to order the day before. Toilet \ shower block OK, hot water hit and miss in the showers. Wouldn't want to be on site when really busy as maybe there would not be enough facilities to cope. Shame about the pylon \ powerline that runs down the middle of the site. Pitches are good size and not too much noise. Overall a nice site and friendly staff.

We spent 8 nights on this campsite with my sister and her family pitched up next door, between our 5 berth frame and her 6 berth dome tent (both under 5 metres) we had plenty of room on our pitches. We were lucky enough to be pitched behind the chemical toilet block (and pylon)which has a small drive, so we parked our cars on the drive to give us more room on the pitches, however on a warm sunny afternoon you would get an unpleasent smell where everyone had been emptying their toilets during the course of the day (we didn't have to many sunny afternoons, the weather was quite poor for us).
The shower block and toilets were kept clean and tidy as were the the rest of the grounds, it had a nice little shop with friendly staff, all in all it was a pleasent stay at a nice, safe site.
The minor complaints were that the local pub was to far to walk to, with sections of the walk on unpathed road (the pub did serve superb food at a reasonable price)the other complaint is there was no where for the older children (ages 10, 13, 14) to play when the playing field closed at 7.30ish, (the children were kicked off this field when they over ran the stated closing time), the normal playing area does stay open until about 9pm however it is compact and designed more for the younger children. It would be for this reason only that I would not stay at this park again.

We were expecting a very nice site for the money but were disappointed overall
The toilets were very good over all but the showers where always flooded and full of mud making changing a bit of a sport.
The pitches are tiny just about got are tent in and no space for the car .
Would be a very good site if they thought about the layout a bit more the field we were in had the kids play area running down one side with pitches next to it and the other side of the field was used for a car park. It would of been better if it had bigger pitches by using this space.

The site is very well kept and clean. We only used the site for the weekend as a base. The pitches are reasonable size, although when the site is full I should think it may feel a bit cramped. We were in the non hard standing field with was next to the park. Park closed at 9pm and reopened at 9am. Toilets were clean and showers were excellant - hot, roomy and plenty of hooks to hang clothes. Pitch and putt course on site was good fun. A bit small and I wouldn't want to play if anyone else was on the course. All in all a good site.

A great welcome and great service from friendly and helpful staff. Great site for smaller children with good play areas. Pitch size OK. Quite expensive at Bank hols, but showers are great (and free) and they and toilets are kept really clean. There is also a 24hr warden and they do intervene to keep the site quiet during the evening/night. Site is away form main roads and is really quiet (except for birds chorus at 5am - still that's part of the outdoor life.) We will certainly be camping here again!

Myself and my partner stayed over Easter weekend, and overall had a very nice stay. However I do feel the price was a little steep, £75 for 3 nights (2 people, 1 car, 1 pitch) - increased a lot for it being a bank holiday.
Some people have said the pitches are too small, I have stayed at worse, but they really aren't too bad. But I would suggest you remember it attracts a lot of families, as a couple we did feel a little hemmed in by the children, as we had tents on both sides with kiddies who woke early (5/6am) with loud chatter and talking . We did resort to ear plugs!
As a Bank holiday, the field was at full capacity and it did feel busy. But as we used it as a touring base it was fine, plus we showered at night when no-one else really wanted to, but I do think the showers did get busy. However you can fit 2 people in 1 shower, so that can reduce your que time . Showers themselves were roomy and clean. Only gripe is they had a tendency to leak over the floor making getting dressed again tricky!
Site is ideally located for Portsmouth, New Forest and Winchester. Recommend looking up the Forest Cycle hire listed on hill farms website, we had a great day out.
Overall I would recommended this site to families or those wanting to use it as base for other activities, it is a pleasant site but watch out for the extra charges .

Just got back from a couple of nights at this site. This was our first trip with our two boys (6 and 2 years old) The site was very clean and tidy, well maintained and pleasant. We were pitched directly opposite the infamous pylon - not a problem - the boys weren't at all interested in it - they wanted to try the sand pit, climbing frame etc. The shower block, and particularly the loo's were very clean, these were a short walk from the tent. The kick around area was, in my opinion, too small (long, thin and sloping). The 9 hole golf course took up most of the huge play area, a bit of money making I fear (£3 per round). The size of the pitches needs addressing, we had a 6 person tent, 6.5 x 6.5m, this was deemed to be too big and upon leaving I was told that I should book a super-size pitch next time! - perhaps the white lines should be a little more generous! All in all, pretty good.

I love this site, even with the pylon! Great facilities and fresh croissants in the morning. Good base for Hampshire & the new forest. I found the comments about the pitches were a bit unfair, as we had plenty of room even with a 5 person tent.
