Loved this site great value for money.
Very friendly both the owners and the farm animals.

Another Dad n Lad walking weekend for which the site was great. Plenty of walks direct from the site or a short drive to likes of Fairy Glen. We took a circular route down to the canal and Fairy Glen, stopping off at a pub in Appley Bridge on the way back - it's mostly uphill on the way back!
The site doesn't cater for tents so your unit needs to be self-sufficient, such as a sink or bucket (like our unit) as there is no pot wash facility.
Toilet and shower facilities are in need of upgrade but are functional. No hot water in sink though and the push button tap was very stiff. No family shower but shower was spacious. There appears to be one toilet/ shower in the gents and ladies.
Didn't see any play equipment for children and there is an accessible pond and farm buildings so possibly not perfect for some families. There was also limited space for ball games.
Many pitches appear to slope so level blocks would be required. Site and grass is well maintained and most pitches are hard standing.
Very close to M6 Jnt and easy access, so a great stop-over for those travelling North and South, but plenty to offer in the area than the site just being a stop-over location.
Several pubs and cafes near by.
There is fishing available on site but we never tried - I suspect this is in the neighboring field rather than the pond next to pitches which has lots of surface vegetation.
Would we stay again - Yes, but only for one/ two night stays as our small camper needs more from the site facilities.

An excellent campsite, very friendly owners, well kept grass, lovely and quiet, not far from lots of tourist attractions.
This was our second visit and we are definitely going to go again quite often.
It's a brilliant get away from everything.
Highly recommended

Very Friendly and peaceful. Handy for trips to local towns, cities and villages.
Hard standing pitches are fairly level.
Site is basic, but clean and well maintained, great value for money

I would definitely recommend this site.
We were greeted by our host, Brenda, who is really lovely x
We wanted a site that was, peaceful and surrounded by nature.
It delivered on both counts.
We overlooked the water with all the wildlife and such beautiful views over the fields, on all sides.
The facilities are basic but more than adequate.
I would definitely stay here again
