We were delighted to find this site, if you are looking for a relaxing break this is the place to be! What a gem! It is hidden in a valley close to Truro but in a very quiet and tranquil spot. The amenities are extremely clean and the current owners, Kate and Phil made us feel very welcome. They have undertaken recent improvements at the park which have enhanced the site, the shop was a particular bonus. We also enjoyed the 'hub room' with leather sofas and books to read. The tourist information that Kate gave us was great; she knew local bus routes and places to eat/visit with our dog. We took the opportunity to explore the local area both on foot, by bus and car. The bus into Truro was easy - we caught it at a request stop at the end of the Summer Valley Lane. The city is lovely, compact to explore with lots of large department stores and small independent shops. We visited Perranporth, the closest beach which took us about 10 minutes to drive to. The weather was fantastic and we walked the coastal path before having pasties for lunch! We also visited St Ives, The Minnack Theatre, Landsend, Newquay, Padstow, Hayle and Carbis Bay - all easy driving distance, the furthest was only 50 minutes away. Summer Valley offers a perfect location for exploring whilst in a quiet spot. Waking to the sound of bird song and watching the wildlife was an added bonus. We booked for one night and stayed 4! We will be returning here again soon!

Superb little site!
Just been to this hidden little gem in the heart of Cornwall.
You wouldn't want to take a huge rig here! But this site owned by Phil and Kate is a great find. Set in rural Cornwall its scenic with picture postcard views of fields set with drystone walls, it's close to the A38 but you wouldn't know! It was so quiet. Truro is a stones throw away good little pub close by and the rest of Cornwall is a drive away - Padstow was a 15 minute drive along some of the most scenic drives I've been this side of Scotland!
Site is surrounded by trees, a little babbling brook at the bottom of the site and woods to walk in definite sun trap being in the valley hardly felt a breath of wind.
The toilets, cleaning facilities, and laundry area was immaculate and it looks like things are being upgraded as they go.
Plenty of electric hook ups (10 and 16 amp) for us caravanners. I'd say about 50 pitches - but didn't go counting.
I'd highly recommend this site, it's a little hidden gem! We went as a family unit with a 7 year old looking for Cornish activities!
Oh, they have a great little shop serving coffees teas and hot chocolate and plenty of essentials like the washing up liquid we forgot to pack - and not at the usual ridiculous prices you can get! Free wifi in the little chill out room!

Wow, what a gem this campsite is! So reasonable too.
Andrew gave us a warm welcome and the choice of various pitches but had remembered we didn't want to be to close to the road which we appreciated.
The grass was cut short and the cuttings picked up so none trampled into your unit.
The toilet and shower block were warm and immaculate the whole of our 15 night stay. This block also included sinks for washing pots and some for clothes. The laundry facilities were clean and modern. There is an information room with a few comfy chairs where you could sit and read the leaflets.
To the rear of the campsite was a field that was ideal for dog walking.
It was so quiet and peaceful 'home from home'.
We have already booked for next year!

We found this lovely site by lucky chance last year and have visited again several times this summer. Andy and Sarah are always welcoming and helpful and the site is very well maintained, with a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. The shower/toilet block is kept absolutely beautifully as are the washing-up sinks etc, and water is always hot. Located in a quiet valley a couple of miles outside Truro which has lots of bars and restaurants to visit, it makes a great base for visiting north and south coasts and just about the whole of Cornwall is accessible for day visits. We cannot recommend the site more highly if you are looking for a small friendly site.

We originally booked for 4 days, but so happy here that we stayed for 5. Very clean quiet site with all needs fulfilled. The toilets and showers were spotless and included all the usual facilities. There was a very convenient room for sitting to access WiFi which was free. The owners were very attentive and helpful and we won't hesitate to book again. Actually we have provisionally booked for 4 more days in October. It was very clear that they had had over 20 years of caravanning experience in what was provided and how the site was managed. The town centre is only 5-10 mins away by car and there is a great value pub on the way that do 'Meals for Two' specials and Sunday lunch.
Thank you for a great experience.

We used this site half a dozen times last year from May-September. Having had such an enjoyable experience it was a no brainer to come back this year. The site is situated a few hundred yards off the main road about 10 minutes from the nearest beach and similarly from Truro. Children and pets can play safely. The owners have improved what was already a very nice site. Impeccably clean, there is always plenty of hot water for both washing up and showering. The shop is handily stocked and opened on demand by Andy or Sarah who are always on hand to help. The play area has been improved and provides an area for the younger ones (under 10s?).
Our third visit this year and another two booked up its worth the 150 Mile trip knowing the site will give us everything we need.

Not long got back from this lovely campsite. Everything was perfect. The owners as soon as we arrived were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Excellent first class facilities. Very handy for buses into Truro and surrounding areas. Pub and shop close by. Cycle route 32 runs from the village near by. Very quiet and well kept site. The grass lovely and short and no grass cuttings to trail into your motorhome. Highly recommend this site. One suggestion a tv in the lounge area would be a good idea for people in tents on wet days or evenings would be a good idea, didn't bother us as we have our own, but noticed a tenter spent nearly every night sitting in the lounge. Will definitely return when in the area but is 300 plus miles from where we live

What a find this campsite was!
We were turned away from one or two others as they were full for the weekend. Arriving at this site fairly late in the day, the owners, Andy and Sarah made us very welcome - nothing was too much trouble.
The site is situated in a beautiful valley with lovely countryside views and very close to Truro and the coast. The whole site is immaculately maintained and we enjoyed a few days of peaceful enjoyment here.
We’ll definitely be back again!

Great little site situated in a valley away from the main roads but only two miles from Truro, great base to explore Cornwall. The new owners, Andy and Sarah were great and always happy to chat. The park is kept to a very high standard with a small shop for essentials and a spotless shower, toilet and washing up block, always plenty of hot water for the free showers. Small room adjacent to toilets with free Wi-Fi and plenty of local information leaflets. Some of the pitches are sloping but nothing a few blocks won't cure. Great site of the quiter variety with a small play area for kids. If you prefer waking up to bird song rather than kids this is just the site for you, well worth a visit. We will certainly be returning.

What a little gem of a find. Lovely friendly site ideally situated for touring Cornwall and barely 2 miles from Truro. Excellent facilities and more upgrades planned for near future according to the newly acquired owners Andy and Sarah who are only too pleased to help in anyway or spend sometime chatting with their visitors to the site. Very clean and well maintained with basic supplies available from on site shop. Decent phone signal and free WiFi available too.
Definitely somewhere we'd visit again.
