Our review of this site in 2014 was we would recommend this site and well done 'James' the owner, our visit in 2015 came after James had sold the site and we certainly wouldn't now recommend the site at all.

Many of the changes from water pressure, toilet flush and recycling have all reduced. Site rules appear to be selective to who's breaking them especially early mornings and night times, the new owners have shocking customer care and we hope they adapt to running a site.

We are extremely disappointed to how much this site has worsened and have tried to be constructive as we do in all of our reviews. We know that many campers read and trust reviews especially from fellow campers who leave more than one.

Very warm welcome on arrival even though we were late due to traffic. They came over while we were setting up to ensure we had everything we needed.

Facilities block very clean and well maintained. Nice warm showers. Also liked quiet music playing in background.

Room to side full of lots of leaflets, ideas of what to do in the area, and other useful information.

Campsite in great location to all attractions. Peaceful site, woke up to birds singing everyday.

Wind is minimal as it's located in a valley.

Visited as a couple, there were children on site but did not bother us.

We have just had two wonderful weeks in Cornwall and used this lovely site as our base, even Hurricane Bertha didn't manage to spoil it. The Site is just of the A30 a couple of miles from Truro and is central to the whole of cornwall.

The Site Owner (James)managed to fit us in even though we left it late to book and throughout our stay he worked hard with everyone to make their stay as positive as possible.

The site is a lovely small site which is two sloping fields separated and surrounded by trees. The slope isn't ideal but is manageable. The toilet block includes showers, pot washing, a freezer (for your blocks) a washing machine and tumble dryer, it also had a side room for free wifi and a loan book service, this room was well used and had a wide range of users from younger ones in the day, adults chilling and teenagers in an evening. The site also had a basic shop.

The site promoted recycling offering a wide range of options which in fairness was more than we have had on any site.

The electric hook up we had was 16A and pitch size was ample and James directed each new comer to their location to ensure the best layout for the site at any time.

As a family was had a difference of opinion of the showers was Broydon felt that they were too hot but Kelly loved them being so hot.

The only real negatives we had was there was no space on site or near the site for the kids to play ball games (our children are the age where they can kick and hit balls hard) but the site did have a basic park which to our surprise our kids loved. The Wifi (which is free) wasn't great but we spoke to the owner and he's looking at it.

Would we recommend or come back to this site, we certainly would, great value and a lovely site Well done James.

Booked their one and only mobile home on site and a nice, clean outfit it was to. The site is kept smart and facilities were good and clean with everything you could wish for. Only a sixty pitch site so cosy and informal. The mobile had everything you want for a good holiday and the site owner/manager was very helpful. Overall, an ideal central site from which to visit most attractions in West Cornwall. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Bob and Lin Johnson

FANTASTIC! We have just returned from a weekend break to summer valley, the owner and his family are very friendly and helpful to all their guests. The facilities are ample, the location is great and very easy to get around Cornwall. We'd love to keep this place a secret as we had such a great time and can't wait to go back!

We were met on arrival by the owners who could not have been more friendly. (They even recommended some really great beaches to visit and walks for the dog).

The campsite is quite small but we had a large pitch close to trees. The toilets and showers were cleaned daily and they were of a very high standard. There's also a small shop and the free wifi was really useful.

We all had a brilliant time and are planning our return next summer.

Overall, this is a great little campsite with really friendly owners and spotless toilets and showers.

I booked summer valley for our first family camping holiday for me, my husband and our 4 children 12, 5, 3, 1 yrs. I could not be happier with our visit, had basic equipment and little knowledge of camping. We had our own pitch that was separated by bushes so you have your privacy and the pitch was well maintained and very clean as was the whole pitch field. It was ideal for us with children because it was so quiet and they loved the playground and the space they had to play. It was an ideal location because it is in the middle of everywhere. It has everything a family needs for a brilliant holiday, All facilities are immaculate and a very good standard and all staff couldn't of been better if they tried they was lovely. Cant wait to return

Just spent a week on this beautiful, peaceful site. Very clean, spacious caravan with wonderful views over the whole site. James, our host, very friendly and helpful suggesting places that we might enjoy.

We walked into Truro and visited the amazing cathedral and enjoyed the eclectic mix of shops.

The site is an ideal base to visit the beautiful beaches in Perranporth and along the Atlantic coastline. We also enjoyed our visit to Falmouth and Lands End with a hike along the cliffs.

Just spent 4 nights here with my wife and 3 small dogs. First time camping in a small tent. Taking a bigger one next time. Will be using the campsite again.

The owners and staff made us feel very welcome. 5 star personal touch which you don't get on a lot of the bigger sites.

No clubhouse but everything else was very good. Pub about a mile away. Very handy for shopping in Truro and about 10 minutes to the beach Perranporth.

Well situated for exploring Cornwall. A lovely quiet campsite.

Spent a week here in the summer and such a lovely gem of a campsite.

The owners, James and Sarah are very welcoming, and I had an issue with something on the site and this was sorted out straight away.

The site does have a slope, so you need to be aware of this when you pitch. My boys ended up on one side of the tent every morning as they kept rolling down the hill in the night! We did suggest that they switch their beds around, so they were feet first to the slope.

Some defined pitches with hedge dividers, the rest are a lot more casual, with lots of EHU's around.

The free Wi-Fi was very much appreciated by my teenage sons.

The facilities are older, but were spotlessly clean. We never used the on site shop. They also have a fish and chip van visit once a week.

The site is well positioned for Truro and beaches.

Would definitely return, and I have recommended this site to a few friends.
