Really clean site well upto CC standards. All the Henley stuff as previous reviews. Helpful wardens, especially that I had mis booked our stay and should have left on Saturday and thought we were there till Sunday ! Warden accommodated us and luckily didn't have to move pitch for 1 night. Road noise not too bad but we pitched away from road. Only drawback was the airplane noise, but only on nights when the landing path was over the site. I wouldn't recommend this site if you are looking for a place to spend loads of time on site and you have kids with you. The play park is very small and there is a strict NO BALL GAMES rule ! The wardens enforce this which is fair enough. Glad to see the warden also stop and advise my 2 boys regarding cycling too fast around the site road ! You will need a 25m aerial lead for the bollard if you wish to watch tv, they have these in the on site shop for £15.
Overall I enjoyed my stay, and would return only to use as a base for days out and exploring.

Another great site. The staff were fantastic. Good sense of humour and very helpful. Pitches have plenty of space and you choose yourself when you land. Side by the road gets more sun in the evening but has more road noise. (this is the only draw back to the site in my view as it is a busy road). Toilet blocks were first class and the baby room was excellent.
15 minutes sees you in Henley with plenty to do. We did a shorter boat ride from the second boat along. A bit shorter ride but was only £4. We also eat in Strada and the food was spot on.

A very handy campsite for the Rewind festival, and far better facilities!
Very clean and tidy as usual with the Caravan Club but I do find their rules somewhat stifuling, and I'm afraid that the wardens have no flexibility. We are paying customers at the end of the day as well as being members and found that this site to be somewhat worse than others in attitude when a minor request against the rules was rejected, it's petty in my view and against any sort of customer service.
I can't fault the site, you're fully aware of the traffic issues when you book so accept it and get on with it. Henley itself great, very dark walk or cycle back at night so be aware of this.
Waitrose lovely as usual, no sign of a Tesco thank goodness!
Not many children around, which is fine by me, so not sure if there's much there for them.

Stayed during Whit half term and had a lovely week here. I think we got lucky because we chose the grass pitches at the back of the site and had no problems at all with the traffic noise that others have mentioned. However, it is a busy road and the roadside pitches would definitely be best avoided if you are looking for peace and quiet.
The location is great with lots to do, both in Henley itself and in the wider area. We loved the walk into Henley and enjoyed drooling over the properties in the estate agents' windows along the way - although the prices left us more spluttering than drooling! The boat trip up the river was a nice way to spend a few hours and the walk alongside it, over the footbridge and locks is fabulous. Lots of independent shops in Henley too, which makes a pleasant change from the identikit high streets elsewhere.
As for the site, it was spotless at all times with great facilities. Everything you expect from a CC site. Yes, the wardens were a little fussy at times but they were always polite about it! In addition, despite the few fussy moments, we found them really sympathetic and helpful in assisting us with an awning problem we had.
There is probably not quite enough to draw us back here but if we needed to visit the area then we'd definitely use this site again without any hesitation.

Couldn't fault it. Yes it's next to the Marlow to Henley road and there was some road noise, but it didn't distract
Wardens kept the site & the facilities immaculate and were very friendly and helpful as expected
Playground was suitable for my 5 yr old.
Good location for a legoland visit. We even caught a train in to London to visit a museum one day
The site shop sells bacon & sausage from the local butchers in Henley. If you get the chance you must visit the butchers shop (Gabriel Machin) it is a gem.
I would choose this site again

We stayed here for five nights with a touring caravan.
Having read other reviews about the substantial traffic noise from the main road, we rang in advance to request (if possible) a pitch well away from the main road. We were advised that pitches are chosen on arrival and no pitches are allocated beforehand and told to arrive as close to 12pm as possible, to maximize our chances of getting a decent (quieter) pitch.
On arrival (at 11:45am ;) we were given a warm welcome and advised to 'have a look around' and choose a pitch. We chose a hardstanding pitch about half way into the site. Whilst setting up, we were VERY aware of the road noise - we are not usually bothered, but it's a very busy road and despite the speed restrictions, sees a lot of cars + motorbikes tearing up and down. We were glad that we weren't one of the unlucky few on a pitch bordering the road (several who were decided to move to other pitches during the week).
That's the negative done.
Positives: lovely warm welcome from the warden, very helpful and knowledgeable throughout. A great play area for the kids, fenced in and well away from caravans but still close enough to see the kids from our pitch.
Facilities: Someone mentioned they were a little 'dated', well the decor is a little dated, but they were always spotlessly clean and showers were hot & plentiful. I loved the way you stepped down into the shower cubicle, it kept the water away from the changing area.
Site secured with a card operated barrier.
Walk into Henley 10-15 mins max, alongside the road unfortunately but there is a pavement the whole way.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return, though next time will be in the 'summer' when we can enjoy the riverside and take a boat out.

Very convenient location within 10 minutes walk of the centre of Henley, with all its shops and restaurants, and riverside walks. Easy access to Windsor and surrounding area.
The only reason location did not get a higher rating is because the site is on the main Marlowe road and therefore suffers traffic noise all day. Although it did not unduly bother us, it was clearly an issue for some others.
Facilities spotless although now looking a little 'tired'. However never had to queue for showers or toilets.
Staff polite and efficient.

The wardens were very friendly and we were greeted warmly. We wanted an extra night but they were fully booked. However, they took note and when a pitch became available they saved it for us and came down to the caravan to inform us. It's service like this that makes it such a pleasant experience.
They sell a few basic items. Pitches are nice with a mix of grass and hardstanding. Our pitch was next to the road so was very noisy. If we were to come back to this site we would chose a different pitch.
It did quieten down at night and didn't really bother us too much. The shower/toilet block was very clean with lots of hot water. Laundry on site.
Phone and internet reception was OK and TV was OK with a booster cable (available for purchase from reception). We could not get satellite TV from our pitch but did see other caravans with their dish up. I think the position of our pitch was to blame as there were trees in the way.
There is a local shop around 10 minutes walk away and it is only 20 minutes walk into Henley itself. Henley has lots of shops, restaurants and pubs. They are a bit expensive though. There are some lovely walks along the river.

Only spent one night on site but will definitely be going back!
Well kept site entirely up to CC standards.
Easy walking distance of the town, although the road can get busy, but the up-side of that is that it is on a regular bus route.
Our pitch was fairly close to the road but we did not find traffic noise intrusive.

Our experience of this site is similar to those written by other reviewers. Road is noisy and when there is a dip in road noise you notice the aircraft noise.
The toilets/showers were always warm and clean. Site was kept nicely as you would expect with a Caravan Club site.
We did however feel that the although the location was noisy it was worth the visit purely for how easy it was to walk into Henley which was lovely. We even hired a boat and had an hour on the river as well. Henley was great for shopping and eating out and the river was lovely for walking and cycling.
Despite the road noise we would visit again just for Henley.
