Stayed for 3 nights Easter weekend.
Good points: site was very clean all round. Toilets well kept and warm with heated floor. Good children's play area.
Bad points: unfriendly staff! Very moody lady in reception with a 'like it or lump it' attitude.
Pitches VERY close together, all lined up facing the same way down the hill. They were so tightly packed on that it was difficult to have awning and car and we were concerned about getting off the pitch. The pitch was also boggy so we sunk a bit and was a bit of a struggle to get off. There was a power cut 3 times during our stay too. The site rules say that everything should be quiet by 11pm yet the entertainment in site continued until the early hours with live music which we could hear in the van with all the windows and doors shut. Make sure you read the info on the pool carefully as this has to be paid for each time you go. The sloping pitch proved to be difficult for many caravans and a few people commented that they would not return due to this and because of how closely together we were all pitched. We wouldn't return to this site but we would return to the area. More bad points than good, hence the low rating. You might get more space between pitches at a quieter time of the year.

Woodlands has a shop, a bar which serves pizza and chips, reception and a very good sanitary block containing 2 ladies and 2 gents sections. If there aren’t many pitches taken only 1 section of the ladies and the gents will be open.
Each of the ladies has under floor heating and contains 7 toilets with 4 washbasins, 3 soap dispensers, 2 very efficient hand dryers, 1 disabled wc and a baby changing unit. There are 4 showers and 4 washbasins. The showers are very roomy with 2 hooks and temperature controlled water but unfortunately the flow is not very good. There are no mops to clean your shower after use which on an all grass site in wet weather is not good news.
The pitches are poor and many are sloping. Basically the owners have installed electricity at intervals in a huge field with a small concrete slab to position your jockey wheel on. The space between these slabs is only about 6 metres and you are expected to get a caravan, awning and car in the space. This is a shame as the facilities are good and the tight pitches let the site down.
Woodlands is well positioned for exploring North Norfolk and campers qualify for a discount at the leisure centre just outside the site grounds.

We enjoyed our visit to Woodlands.
Grass pitches, with hook up. Much of the site is sloping, so requires levelling of the caravan. Plenty of open space; we visited over a bank holiday and the site was not over crowded. Dog friendly - there were many dogs on site when we visited. Good children's play area. Site adjoins National Trust woodland, with excellent walking or cycling along forest paths. Great beaches at Sheringham a short drive away; two pubs which serve food 5 minutes drive.
Smart, roomy and clean washing/showering/washing up facilities. 'Clubhouse' has two bars, with pool tables, and entertainment evenings (singers, live bands, etc) during the season; bar is dog friendly. Reasonable bar prices. Pizza and chips available from the bar. Useful shop on site which closes at 5:00. WiFi on site restricted to area near reception and the bar. Poor data reception further away.
Discount provided for adjacent indoor swimming pool in leisure centre - not ideal for small children as the area for non swimmers is restricted. Easy to find on the main road from Cromer.

Lovely site, very clean and well maintained, beautifully landscaped. Excellent shower block, very modern and scrupulously clean, plenty of toilets and showers for all. The site wasn't as busy as we expected it to be at the end of July but maybe we just missed the influx at the beginning of the school holidays.
The spacing and siting of the pitches would have been a concern if the site had been busier as they seemed to be very close together, but out of school holiday time it wasn't too bad.
Decent clubhouse on site which was OK for a drink in the evening as long as you're not looking for anything more adventurous than pizza and chips in the food line. Some entertainment at weekends but the option of a quieter lounge room if preferred.
Would recommend this site.

This site has the best shower block we have ever come across!
The bar is pleasant, food limited to pizza and/or chips, but very good ones. Entertainment is 60s/70s/80s and only on 2 occasions during our stay but that was fine. Pool tables for use and a lounge next door with TV.
Woodland directly next to the site which leads to the stunning Sheringham Park. Beautiful for walking, or cycling which we did.
The gym/pool next door offers discount and is worth a visit.
We will return!

First things first the toilets and sheers are the best we have found on any site we have visited before. When I say good I mean fantastic. Well done woodland caravan site. The site was fairly full, being a bank holiday so to be expected. The site was beautiful on the eye, never less I found it difficult to attach my caravan onto my car when leaving the site as my pitch was on a hill! Never less the kids play park was great for my children aged 5 and 11 plenty of space to play and make friends. For us this is a big plus point. There is the forest with direct access to from the site which I wish we had more time to enjoy however I saw enough to know it it is a major plus point!
Nightlife: a bit 70s and 80s which suits me fine but maybe not everyone
All in all I would say well worth visiting and I will be back with my family and would recommend without hesitation! Please try you won't be sorry

Just returned from a great week at Woodlands, pitches were uneven but not really a problem, but think the pitches would become very tight when the site was full. The shower block is right up there with the best we've used. My son who is nine said the park was big and really cool, and the shop whilst small had what you needed, anything more - and there is small Sainsburys in Sherringham about 2-3 miles and a big Co-op and Morrisons in Cromer 5 milesish. We took our dog with us and with mile upon mile of walks in the forest he loved it! The bar was a good size and run by a really nice, friendly couple with a good selection of beers, the site was a good base for surrounding areas. One thing I would say is, and this maybe just me but I am 43 and felt me and the wife was the youngest on the site if you know what I mean. If your a fan of A curry there's a nice little village called HOLT with a lovely curry house, also a couple of nice pubs one with a fantastic steak restaurant not the cheapest but with the best cuts of meat cooked over charcoal and the chips cooked in beef dripping mmmmmm. All in all a nice little find in north norfolk!

Excellent site marred by cars of other unit's parked tight and I mean tight alongside next doors awnings, this has got to be a fire risk. If you are going when its busy and you are 60+ a motormover might be a good investment with plots this tight. That's the negatives over, on the plus side facilities were spotless, location for everywhere was excellent. Word of warning for sat nav users though, don't try going from one main 'A' road to another 'A' road across country in Norfolk on that perfect looking short cut with a caravan on the back as the Sat Nav will and does take you down single lane road's with grass growing out of the middle as well as the verge's, you have been warned! We saw great chunks knocked out of the banking either side of the road on one then met the culprit. A 52 seater coach full of very (not) amused Chinese student types on tour.

What a lovely site. Toilets and showers state of the art and regularly cleaned. Brilliant dog walks. Lovely pub good ale although only serves pizza and chips. Very well maintained all over with beautiful planting. Staff incredibly friendly. Nice shop selling papers and food. The owner also pops round making sure everyone is happy. Fantastic playground for the kids. Space can be a little tight on Bank holidays. But I will revisit. We loved this site. Well done Woodlands. One word WOW.

Stayed at this site for a weekend break. we were advised just park anywhere, loads of spaces with hook up but we spent ages driving around finding a space, we found this very unhelpful! Once we found a pitch we then got told we were parked the wrong way by the man manger or owner not sure! He was actually quite rude. We moved to another pitch up the hill but you need levels as the hill is steep the pitches were not private at all no hedges on fences between just a huge camping field with hook up really. The showers and WC block were spotless what ever time you used them We never had to wait even on such a big site. They seemed almost brand new. The bar staff were friendly and the limited menu of pizza and chips were yummy. They do an offer of four nights for the price of three some months which would be fab if you could use them mid week when site less busy.
Customer service bar area and cleaners 10 out of 10
Arrival parking 0 out of 10 even a ruff idea of where was available rather than expecting people late at night to find there own space would be a vast improvement
