We had a great Jubilee weekend at this superb caravan park. Very friendly staff, immaculate facilities, including superb toilet facilities. Beautiful surroundings with rhodendrons in full bloom!
Only problem was perhaps the amount of caravans on site. I think they may be addressing that problem for future bank holidays. Parking our caravan was okay, but we were there before the main influx and were really crammed in.
Lovely central position for Sheringham and Cromer, also Wells. Perhaps the icing on the cake though is Sheringham Park which you can walk to through a woodland walk direct from the site.
Perfect for our dogs too! Would really recommend this site without hesitation and will definitely return.

We stay here the first week in May. It has to be one of the nicest campsites we have stopped at. The shower block was pristine. It looks brand new and there are plenty of showers and hot water available. It was also very warm in there.
The owners are very pleasant. When we arrived we were told that the club wasn't open until Thursday. Which was a shame as it was one of the reasons why we chose this site. After a word with the owner he opened up for us on the Wednesday.
The only slight problem was that the campsite isn't flat. So after all this rain we have had there were some really wet pitches and also you could see where people have struggled to get their cars out. Just be aware of where you pitch up, there is plenty of space.

We had 4 nights at Woodlands and it was the best camping we've ever done. There was only me and the wife but it was great to see the people there enjoying the site.
The bar had 2 pool tables and was open every night at 6 supplying pizza and chips if required, the shop was more than adequate and the service was superb from all the on site staff.
As for the shower block, it was one of the best we've seen.
The added advantage of having a leisure centre at the entrance to the site was the icing on the cake, with discounted swimming and free sauna and spa and just £3. 50.
We will definitely be returning.

Excellent ultra modern toilet block (as already mentioned)but lacking a shower curtain for some reason!
Club house (more like a working mens club or social club)was very quiet most evenings but this just meant I got served at the bar quicker. Two real ales on offer being abbott ale and Green King IPA.
Pizza was also of good quality.
Places to visit near by -
Wroxham barns
Wroxham boat trips
Seal spotting trips from blakeny point
Pensthorpe nature reserve (as seen on t. V 's Springwatch)
Shop selling most things including newspapers but only open certain times of the day.
Best local pub that I found(selling good food and good beer)was the 'Pigs' in Edgefield (postcode NR24 2RL). Great food, 5 real ales, good service and the best children's play area for a pub I have EVER seen.
Zip wire, tree house, climbing wall, amazing really.
Overall I found woodlands to be a good base for discovering the area with good facilities and despite its size quite quiet.
Would I go back- yes-but for a longer stay.

We have been staying at woodlands for about 7 years, the new shower/laundrette and toilet block is superb, warm and clean, more than anything the location is ideal for so many walks, we have explored on foot from the site, yes you can walk into Sheringham along the coastal path, or go through Sheringham park and catch a bus from upper Sheringham, or bus from the site entrance,
The site has a lovely feel to it, well kept up friendly staff, we too were a bit put off by the lines of close pitching especially on bank hols, but in practice its not really a problem,
Being a large park and on normal weekends you can find your own secluded spot quite easily,
To us it feels like home we cant wait to get back there every spring, so much exercise and walks things we never have time for at home, a lovely retreat, so much to do in the area Blickling hall, Felbrigg, the Broads Wroxham steam railway, Bure valley railway, Overstrand, and we are still exploring, cant beat it

Very pleasant visit. You choose your own pitch most are slightly sloping. Ground very hard you will need rock pegs for securing awning.
Toilet and showers are superb and extremely clean, lots of hot water.
Excellent wooded walks from the site into Sheringham Park. Shop has basics, only opens mornings but reception or bar staff will get you anything you need.
Not too busy while we were there could imagine when full caravans are close together. Bar serves pizza and or chips.
The playground was well laid out and even had goalposts for 5 a side.

We come here as often as possible. The staff are all helpful and friendly, the shop is fine for the basics. You can pitch where you like, as long as you face the same way, no one on a push bike with a tape measure.
If you are 'funny' about toilet blocks, fear not, an excellent new facility was built about 2 years ago with underfloor heating and good, roomy showers that are always as clean as a whistle.
We always pitch on the left of the site as the right side is quite uneven and you will need levelling blocks. It can get busy on bank holidays and you could feel a bit hemmed in, but it never bothers us. The playground is a good size, safe and there are always enough bodies about to get a five a side game going on there too.
The Phoenix Nights-style Clubhouse is great, serving up good lager and plenty of entertainment. We also like the 'Pinewood leisure complex' on site, good facilities and never really busy.
Ok, Sheringham is not like a Victorian, south coast seaside town, but there lies it's charm, quaint with a nice beach, steam railway, great chip shop (Straights I think) and a decent curry house.
Sheringham Park is like a mini Chatsworth House by the sea, with lovely walks, interesting visitors centre and Rhododendrons everywhere. A walk to the top of the look out tower by the sea is a must).
Its hard to fault the place.

We stayed at Woodlands as our base for our visit to the 2011 Gobur Carousel Preview weekend.
When you include add together the touring area and the statics areas, Woodlands is a very large site indeed.
The pitching area is one enormous space that is only broken by being dotted with mature trees. It divides naturally into two areas; one half is level and the other gently sloping. There is a requirement to put your jockey wheel on a small concrete pad which marks every pitch with all vans facing the same way, and the pitches are arranged in straight lanes. Given we normally prefer CS / CL type sites, it is these serried ranks of vans and their tow vehicles which left us with a feeling not dissimilar to waking up in the middle of a Sunday Market or Car Boot Sale. Once we got over this, we found Woodlands to be a very good site.
The facilities block is conveniently located in the middle of the pitching area (showers free) and is 7*! They have even solved the problem of the troublesome push button shower taps: all you have to do is stand close enough to the electronic sensor, and the shower keeps running!
The laundry facility is currently a very reasonable £1.50 - £2.00 for a wash.
The children’s play area is one of the largest (includes a 5-a-side football pitch) and best I’ve seen.
The ‘Roman’s Return’ clubhouse / bar is very comfortable and has regular entertainment.
The ‘Pinewood Park Leisure Club’ is first class and is currently a very reasonable £3.50 for a swim / sauna / steam / spa session.
The ‘Pinewood Indoor Bowls and Banqueting Suite’ is excellent.
The site shop is well stocked to provide your basic needs.
The customer service we received throughout our stay was excellent.
We can recommend the walk / cycle ride through the adjacent woodland to the North Norfolk Railway at Weybourne, and little further on, the Muckleborough Collection of military vehicles.
To sum up: If you preference is for sites with ‘clubhouse’ facilities, it is hard to see how you can get much better than Woodlands.

Easy to find and the welcome was very friendly. I was a bit concerned about noise because it looks like a big, busy site when you arrive but found that noise isn't a problem. The office has plenty of literature on things to do in the area. The shop carries the basics and sells lovely local bread.
You choose your own pitch which is great (although the rules say that the nose wheel must be on a concrete block but there wasn't one where we pitched). Most pitches are on a slight slope but not enough to cause a problem. Plenty of water points and hook-up points. Had some trouble with plastic pegs for the awning because the ground seemed very hard.
The toilet block is a couple of years old and excellent although water pressure in the showers is a bit on the low side. On the other hand, the quality of the blocks is superb and they're clean.
There were plenty of children around during the week we were on the site but everything was quiet from around 10:30 pm onwards.
Sheringham is a very pleasant seaside town with a good theatre and a highly recommendable restaurant (No 10 in Augusta St). The North Norfolk steam railway has a terminus in the town and there's an hourly ordinary rail service to Norwich via Cromer.
Cromer is a classic British seaside resort. Think Blackpool toned down several degrees and you've got it.
If your interest is wildlife and especially ornithology, Cley is close by with salt flats and abundant bird life and around a hour's drive away is the wildlife reserve at Blickling Broad where you can go for a one hour or two hour boat trip with a guide (but book in advance).

Putting our praise of this site into the space given for this review to be written, is just not big enough. From the wonderful happy greeting on the phone when we booked it was a most pleasant experience. No prebooked pitches, park in any one that is free. Just park in line for a carefree holiday. Superb new block of toilets and a small complex of office, shop and club, plus a carefully sited playground complete the experience. Do not miss the barbeque on the Saturday night, it is a great social gathering with really friendly caterers. If this is not enough, the pleasures of a seaside town are just up the road, Sheringham about three miles and Cromer a little bit further. Many attractions may be found inland too. So if this is your first time, consider going for a week. You will not be disappointed.
