Most of what has already been said in previous reviews is spot on but since the last review a new toilet / shower / utilities block has been built at quite a cost judging by the quality of build & appears to be user friendly to anybody with a disability. The old block is to be taken down & some of the static vans are to be moved either to increase capacity or make the pitches a little less snug (yet to be decided), otherwise not a bad place to go but don`t forget the levelling chocks.

Lovely setting with great walks in surrounding woods & Sheringham Park which is lovely for the rhododendrons. Like the idea of picking own pitch. Well spaced. Excellent playground which is fenced in.

We stayed here over the Bank Holiday Weekend. The price was good and this site was the only one available for late booking. I’d read the reviews and it was with some trepidation that we went. We arrived soon after 12noon on the Friday and found a pitch in a sloping field in between 2 toilet blocks and the play area. We had to use chocks to level the caravan as it really did slope.
The play area is fantastic. Fenced all round with a small area for ball games and lots of play equipment. One area even has sand for the kids to play in.
As the weekend progressed more caravans arrived and the site did fill up. They do seem closer than on a club site but we’ve stayed on other sites with closely spaced pitches and this didn‘t bother us.
The Wooded Country Park nearby is wonderful as a dog walk and we had some lovely long walks in there. One evening our lab chased off a Deer and we had to walk past her young deer which had frozen on the path. As soon as we had walked past it ran off into the scrub. A good lesson for the kids in not touching what looks like an injured baby!
The shop is well stocked for essentials and has toys and souvenirs for sale too.
We didn’t use it but the Pool is £3.50 per adult and £3. For children.
There is a small camping shop in West Runton with a Post Office / General Store next door. Sherringham beach is long and in some parts dogs are allowed. Parking is expensive here but the shops are varied and worth a look.
This is a site that we would return too as we couldn’t fault it.

We stayed for the weekend at this site and in fairness it has many positive attributes. The playground is great, lots of space and well constructed equipment. The site is laid back and you can roll up quite late and enter the site and set up, pay in the morning when reception re-opens. Loud music was being played until 1.30am, with no site manager/warden there was no-one to sort out this issue.
We felt so overlooked and there was no room to park your car as well as your outfit, without taking up someone elses pitch. We were in the field next to the play park and it was very uneven. The field to the left of reception was waterlogged.
Fabulous dog walking area just off the site, straight into Sherringham Country Park. Poo bins readily available on site.
The bar was reasonably priced

The area is good a great to see and visit but we found the pitches were close together and on a hill, it was quite a walk for water. Thought it was expense to use the pool. Weather great

First time on this site. As the last review said very uneven ground very hard to level the caravan. The pitches are also very close together at busy times you would have very little space between vans. Good walks through woods if you have dogs

We arrived on a bank holiday, like other told to pitch where there is a space, there are no pitch numbers,as we arrived on the Saturday the best spaces had gone. There are a lot of spaces along the edge of the roadway but if you have a half decent size awning you would step straight out into the road - not ideal if you have kids.
We managed to get a space on the field on your left immediately as you drive in. This seems to be the most level part of the site. We were lucky that we got away without using levellers, but be prepared, it is unlikely that all four stays will touch the ground!
Although the site was packed (and if the space next to us had been taken there would have been nowhere to park our car) it was quiet, the kids have a fenced off area that they can play ball in and there is a good activity frame which is lined with sand.
The shop is OK, but don't rely on it to get supplies, it wasn't well stocked.
TV reception as in most of Norfolk is quite poor.
We had a lot of rain, but that said the site drained well and seemed to dry out quickly.
Take your walking shoes, you can walk to Sheringham National Trust Park from the site, and apparently into Sheringham, but there are no signposts in the woods!
Overall this site was nice, and is fixed price so if you have a van full of kids etc then it is good value.

Very busy when arrived. Receptionist told us to find a pitch, even though we did book in advance. Vans were all over the place, but it was bank holiday weekend. Site itself is located on the A148 holt road. Plenty of walks through woodland, ideal if you have dogs. Shower blocks were clean enough and well located. Big children's play area with swings and slides etc. The site also has a bar and supermarket on site and regular entertainment.
Take plenty of wood or brick to place under steadies, some parts of the site were very uneven, and pitching level was difficult.
