We have just ventured out in out tourer for the first time & we are very glad we chose Woodlands for the try-out. What a fab site. All pitches are within easy reach of the modern & roomy shower/loo block & although a little on the slope we managed to pitch up with relative ease(you choose where you want to be. No allocated pitches) The play park was much appreciated by our 9 year old & the swimming pool(not included in price but good value @ £3. 50 per adult & £3 per child)was a welcome cool down from the glorious weather. The site is well maintained with excellent disposal facilities. The bar area is child & dog friendly(except lounge bar No dogs)& the outside area is lovely on a barmy summers evening. The site is quiet & the staff welcoming. Close to Holt(for Budgens, to Sheringham for crab, fish & chips, icecream & the excellant hardware store that sells everything including that essential screw that holds up the awning!Hubby was in his element in there. ) There is a small site shop but we didn't use it but a peek through the window did look as though they stocked the essentials. All in all a brilliant few days away & I am positive that we will return very soon.

Arrived yesterday and share the reviews of most other people. The site has a good location and extremely well kept with excellent staff. The new toilets and shower block are fabulous and very clean. The bar is excellent and is advertising entertainment all weekend so I am sure we will enjoy the weekend. However after thinking how tight the plots were on arrival I am sitting here on Friday afternoon watching all the new arrivals turn up and wondering how I am going to get out of here Sunday morning! As the instructions are to place jockey wheels on the concrete slabs I noticed that on some pitches the only way to achieve this is with a motor mover. Bit of a shame really as this will discourage me from returning.

We had only chosen this site as our usual North Norfolk site was fully booked and we had left it a bit late.
We will be staying here again though. I can't remember staying at any site with toilet facilities as clean as these. I know its a relatively new block but they really are well looked after.
The site is next to some lovely walking and we spent a day with the dog walking around Sheringham Park which is owned by the National Trust, thoroughly recommended.
We wouldn't normally stay at a site with any entertainment but it was fun and good value, as was access to the leisure centre next door.
We will be going back.

This campsite is fabulous!
Very quiet when we visited
Lovely woodland surroundings
Just outside Sheringham and good for touring North Norfolk
The shower black and toilets were the best I have ever seen. Modern clean and underfloor heating.
Launderette and pot washing facilities indoors
Play park for kids. Woodland walks. Small pub with entertainment and a basic shop on site. Helpful and friendly staff didn't bother or harass us at all about leaving parking awnings or anything.
Would happily visit again. First Class

Very nice site, excellent showers & toilet blocks
Spotlessly clean with under floor heating most welcome in September.
The only small shop on site stocked very limited choice of goods & wasn't open until 8. 30 am.
Staff friendly and helpful
We stayed only 2 nights as we had stayed elsewhere in Norfolk. Regular bus service runs from the main road.
There were plenty of dustbins/dog waste bins and recycling were plentiful.

We spent 6 nights with our 3year old grandson, the site is lovely and fairly quiet for a large site, it is in easy reach of beaches, pubs and shops. The leisure centre (on site) has a nice swimming pool and baby pool.
The toilet block is new and very clean, plenty of hot water and good sized washing machines and driers. I would however point out that the disabled shower room was not thought out very well, we usually find a toilet, sink and shower in these, but this only had the shower with wall seat so my husband was unable to 'meet' all his needs within one room.
The play area was very good and my grandson really enjoyed his time there! Overall I would recommend this site.

After reading so many great reviews about this site we were very disappointed. On arrival we were told to find a pitch and put the jockey wheel on the concrete slab. This was difficult to see in the grass, perhaps if they were painted white this would help.
The site got very busy by the weekend as there was a 40's weekend in Sheringham (which was fantastic) and there was another event on at a large site nearby. The caravans were very close together (I wonder about fire regulations). To get our caravan hitched up to leave the man in front of us had to move his car!
The toilet block, although new, clean and warm, could have been better designed, there were lots of loos and sinks but it would be nice to have had some individual washing cubicles and a full length mirror would have been a nice touch. The shower cubicles were large, but there were only 2 small hooks, a shelf or even a stool would have been appreciated. The disabled shower had a fold down seat but I think a loo in the same cubicle would help.
The area for waste water and rubbish was a good long walk away especially if you were pitched at the top of the field.
It was disappointing to see no recycling bins for paper, tins or plastic which I would have expected these days.
(Perhaps the owners could take this on board)
Having said all that, it was nice to be able to walk into Sheringham Park through the woods and it was handily placed for trips into Holt or to the coast.
Be aware when looking for the site, if you approach from Holt the brown road signs are covered from view by the trees, we didn't see the entrance until we were on top of it!

We have just enjoyed a 5 night stay at the site.
It is in a very good location for exploring nearby towns of Sherringham, Cromer, Blakney Point & Wells.
It's a lovely site, well maintained, excellent toilet block facilities, immaculately cleaned throughout the day.
We didn't use the gym/pool suite, though neighbours reported they were very good. The club is fine, entertainment at night is very reasonable, we were pitched near to the club & volume was acceptable, 11pm finish was good.
We recommend the site highly & will be re visiting on our return to Norfolk.

This site could be wonderful, the showers and toilets are wonderful, some of the best we have seen. The play area is lovely and the location is great for exploring North Norfolk. The staff were friendly as well which is always a bonus.
The swimming pool next door is also great (still a tad expensive, even with the discount).
Sadly for this site, we have just come back from a bank holiday weekend there and paid a reasonable amount per night but to say we were cramped in is an understatement, although we understand it was a bank holiday the site put profit before comfort and safety of the site (We had to do at least a 3 point turn daily to get our car out).
We were with friends and set up one in front of the other, but were told not to sit in the roadway, but the issue was where were we going to sit as there was a car outside the awning!

Just had a 4 night stay at Woodland Caravan Park.
It is situated in Sherringham which was within easy reach of Cromer and Sherringham for days out.
The shower facilities is the best one we so far have visited and I think it would be hard to find any better. Previous review about an old shower site, this must have been knocked down, as I didn't see another one.
Pitching the caravans could be better, there are no wardens to show you were to pitch, its a bit like Easy Jet, pitch were you like, but you need to pitch in the same way as every other caravan and at the same angle. Could be improved by a warden at least to show you that you are parked correctly before setting up and the slabs are not that easy to find, maybe paint them in yellow would be a good idea.
For anyone who wants to do the Poppy steam ride, which runs from Sherringham to Holt and Holt to Sherringham. I would advise parking in Holt, it was £1 for all day parking where sherringham cost us £6. 00 for most of the day. When you get off in Holt nothing to look around except the station, where in Sherringham its in the town, so you can get off, and take a look around and maybe a bit of lunch.
Entertainment was good at the Club House, shame it rained on Jubilee weekend, but then it rained everywhere.
We would visit this site again and would recommend it to other caravan users.
