Very friendly and helpful staff, we arrived very late due to an accident on the way but having spoken to them on the phone they were able to give us instuctions on how to find the site and where to pitch our tents. Nicely laid out site with little noise/distubance, lovely pub next door.
A gentle walk down to the ferry in the morning took us about 30 minutes, so would definitely recommend if you're planning a day trip to Ireland.
As others have commented, the toilet block is past it's best - however it is clean and functional. Remember to take a loo roll and 20ps for the shower.

Stumbled across this site while touring Anglesey. Greeted by the female owner of the site who immediately sited us (2 motorhomes) Couldn't believe the price at only £10.50 a night inc. electric (what a bargain!) Oly booked 1 night as we were touring but wish we had time for more! Toilets and showers were basic but always very clean. 10 mins walk from a lovely little cove (beach). A very warm welcome at the pub at entrance to site. Drinks very reasonable inc 2 bottles of diamond white for £2.50. Owners very friendly and so were the regulars who we enjoyed beating at pool! (think back mick, jeff&jimmy young? the putty cats beat you? ) Fab campsite lovely area .You have to visit southstack. What a view. Would highly recommend this site as mick and wife were so friendly and will definitely be going back! Only wish it was nearer as we are from south wales.

We found this site on a previous visit to Bagnol at treaddur. We went in May 08 and had a great time , yes the toilet block is in need of updating but all we use the site for is a base to visit other areas of the island Mal and Mick who runs the site is very helpful. Noel and his wife who help out throughout the summer are all extremely friendly. No noise whilst we were there except the snoring from the wife. We didn't go to the pub but on the other hand we heard no loud music from the area either all in all a very good site and will be going again (in about three weeks) Shhh!

Great Location, could be a very nice site but the shower block and toilets are not great, they cannot have been updated for year,s cracked tiles. The sink for washing pots that is available in the block has had the hot tap removed so there is no hot water. We also found that there seemed no limit to the amount of tents they allow on the site - we lost our parking spot on the second day and could hear the guy in the next tent snoring all night every night. Good points nice part of Holyhead, near to the beach and a Nice Pub at the end of the Road

We went to Valley Of The Rocks for the first time this weekend with 5 of our children. What a fantastic place. The toilets and showers were clean, the site was tidy, we had to come home early as our tent leaked when it rained but we are looking forward to going again, the kids loved it. The people in the pub and shop were really friendly, they serve a cracking pint in the pub. The kids loved exploring the site, it had lots of 'dens' It wasn't noisy and we would recommend this to anyone. Our kids are 9, 7, 5, 4 and 2. Our 17 year old is coming with us next time we go. There are shops and supermarkets very close by, and a lovely country park, that's free! Looking forward to going again.

First time Campers, we found the campsite before we decided to look at the A to Z. Totally breath Taking views we loved the little beach even though dogs where not allowed before 7pm. Straight away on arrival we where greeted by the lady owner. She was really lovely and helpful, told us nicely that dogs must be kept on leads at all times. As you would of expected on a very well maintained camping /tourer site. The site its self was unreal. Rocks all round and we had our own privacy also sheltering from winds. Toilet, laundrette etc were in pristine condition at all times, little corner shop with basics, a supermarket 5 minuets away. A pub. Its know wonder there was so many regulars on site and they were all friendly and helpful. The cost well was very very reasonable, as for booking as the manager said "no need to book just come along" huge camping site, you get what you pay for, well the service we had was priceless will be going back for longer wind or rain we will be back

Valley of the rocks is a very good and friendly campsite. I used to go every weekend with my ex-boyfriend and got to know the owners of the campsite, Mick and his wife, very nice people. Mick and his daughter Michelle do karaoke on a Saturday night in the bar that is on the site, so that's good for all you karaoke kings and queens out there. If it is quiet on the site though they don't always do karaoke. The managers of the bar are very friendly as well Pauline and Jim. Everyone gets on with everyone. There is a beach 5-10 mins walk from the campsite, which has toilets, burger and ice cream vans! There is a tescos just about 5 mins drive from the site. Showers and toilets aren't amazing, it's 20p to use the showers. It's a good campsite for couples, familys, groups of friends etc etc, in the bar they have a pool table to keep the kids amused. I will definitely be going back again.

I have been many times in tents and caravan and every time had a fantastic holiday. It is so handy for shops, within walking distance of Holyhead with a Netto and Mcdonalds just on the site side of the town. And in the other direction a 10-15min walk down to a blue flag beach that has a toilet and normally a burger van and friendly beach wardens. The site has a good warm feeling to it and loos are loos, I am sorry but I dont care what they look like there clean and they work and so do the showers. The couple that run the site will normally go out of thier way to help, just dont park on her grass just out side the reception as she will tell you off. The kids love playing around the site theres a bar just off the site that has a lovely atmosphere and the best bit about the place, Its cheap!

Updated review: This is still a lovely site to camp on although there is no electric for campers. At the entrance to the site is reception, toilet block (3 toilets, 3 showers, 3 handbowls & a washing up sink). They do look shabby but are kept clean between 1pm & 4pm everyday. Showers are 20p and toilet roll can be bought in the reception shop for 30p. Owners are friendly and helpful. The pub is still as warm & friendly as ever and bar food is still served. A pool table is provided & children are allowed to play.
A lovely beach 1/2 a mile down the lane has toilet facilities, Burger van & Ice cream van. Walks along the cliffside are a must, even if it's just to tire your dog out!
A beach warden is employed during summer months.

We stayed at this site for 2 nights before leaving for and returning from Ireland and it was fine for us. The loos were clean but no loo paper! Otherwise it was fine, friendly helpful owners and the pub next door was nice. However I think that the site could do with another loo and shower block near the tent area - it is near the caravans. A lovely beach about 1/2 a mile away. I did not see any dogs running loose or encounter any drunks (except us!).
