Fabulous site, great owners, fantastic views over Sound of Mull and mountains behind. A brilliant base to tour Mull.
Lucky enough to have our whole 8 days in sunshine.
The facilities were always clean and tidy, with music playing while you shower.
Thankyou

What a great site! Superb location and kept to an exceptional standard of tidiness and cleanliness. I have been on many many sites and can't recall one as clean as this. Very friendly owner which always helps!
The pitches are sized for a caravan and a car but a bit if a squeeze for an awning too - and as others have mentioned the made up ground on the pitches is very hard and after 5 pegs we gave up and managed without the awning.
Excellent location for touring and the Spar in Salen is a brilliant shop.
We have seen a few other sites on our travels this week but nothing looks half as good as Pennygown.

We liked the helpfulness, the cleanliness and even in the rain the location.
That was the only thing we did not like it rained from start to finish but that's Mull for you.
We have already booked for next year

Excellent campsite! We visited for one night in a camper van.
The facilities are very nice, with indoor showers in individual cubicles with glass doors. Not the usual shower curtain!
Great views from the campsite and access to a lovely walk on the front.

We last visited Pennygown a few weeks after it opened and loved it enough to use again despite there now being several sites on Mull.
Big open pitches, all with some views of the Sound of Mull. Plenty of water taps and bins dotted around the site with a recycling and water /empty point at the reception.
Loos and showers are cleaned 4 times a day - first clean at 6am. Always clean and plenty of hot water.
A new footpath has been made to take you to the Glen forsa hotel, about a mile up the coast - lovely meals or drinks overlooking the little island airport and the sea. There is also a footpath down to the beach from the bottom if the site.
Washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, toaster and kettle in campers kitchen area. Indoor and outdoor washing up areas
Owners super helpful, really nothing is too much trouble.
Internet included in pitch price. It's a bit patchy in the evenings when site full but fine during the day.
As impressed this time as much as previously and would definitely recommend

Our first time visiting Mull as well as our first holiday in a campervan and we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities on site.
The lady on reception when we arrived late in the day (last but one ferry arrival) was very friendly and helpful.
The scenery is lovely and dogs are made welcome. Would highly recommend Pennygown site to newbies and seasoned campers alike.

We stayed in our motorhome for 4 nights here, absolute bliss. We had views of the Sound of Mull from our pitch and enjoyed some beautiful sunsets there. They even had some benches where you could sit out and enjoy the sun.
The toilet block was always immaculate and had sufficient facilities for the amount of residents. The staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Access to the motorhome service points was easy and never seemed to be too busy.
Glen Forsa hotel is a short walk away where you can indulge in a restaurant or bar menu. Salen is the nearest town where the basics can be bought but Tobermory is about half an hour away. If you have a motorhome get there early for the parking!
There are 3 main loop roads on Mull, the top, middle which can access Ulva, and bottom which goes to Iona. They are all mainly single track with passing places, all of these roads provide you with breathtaking scenery.
All in all this was one of the best sites we have ever been in 14 years of motorhoming. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.
