This family run campsite was a great find! The facilities were spotless and the general maintenance of the site was immaculate!
They have an enclosed dog area which was great and it wasn’t unusual for my dog to be visited by the owner bearing dog biscuits, which he loved!
Everything I needed was on site and everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend it and would return.

Fantastic in every way. Just got back from a wonderful 4 night stay and could not have been happier with this site. Site and all facilities kept in immaculate condition and the owners so warm and welcoming.
They even tightened our guy ropes up whilst we were out as 'Storm Ellen' was doing her best to blow the Tent down. Lovely big pitches, not crammed in at all.
So if you are looking for a great camp site in this area. Look no further. You just found it.
Lots of lovely places to visit nearby, had a lovely day out at Holkham Hall at the 'Feast and Music in the park'

Great campsite! Spotlessly clean facilities, quiet location, drinking water easily available. Nice location to explore Norfolk Coast too.
We were the only ones with tent.

A warm welcome by pleasant owners who were able to pitch us near the facilities on request.
A close mown all grass open site with plenty of space between units. There were plenty of fresh water points and the EHU bollards were close and we were able to use 10metre cable. One of the cheapest places I have stayed at for years especially in high season at £20 per night.
There are 4 wcs and 2 spacious showers for females, and despite being busy there was never a queue.
The dishwashing room has 3 well spaced sinks and a small freezer. All facilities were spotlessly clean and hand sanitiser was available. There is also a laundry room and TV room which we did not use.
For dog owners there is a large enclosed paddock where they can run free.
This is an adult only site and has a regular clientele who know each other but they are more than willing to engage in conversation with the 'us tourists'.
Within a couple of miles there is a village store and fish and chip shop and the Bircham Windmill and cafe is worth a visit if the diet allows!
If in the area again would have no hesitation in staying at The Rickels.

Perfect in every way. Just returning from our weekend camping trip and had such a great time. Wonderful location, great site.
Lovely owners, adults only, nice big pitches and nice and peaceful.
Everything you need, very clean and tidy - couldn’t fault a thing.
Will certainly be where we stay whenever we visit Norfolk and hope to be back soon.

Quiet, peaceful site run by a friendly family. Nothing too much trouble.
Good location for coast and inland.
Lots of open space. Site is immaculate, tidy and clean.
Showers and toilets are available and FREE!
Large dog exercise area - bonus!
Site has a lot of regular customers who all seem to know each other. Always someone on hand to ask for advice.
Feels safe and secure.
Very friendly site run by a lovely family. Spotlessly clean. Very peaceful and relaxing.
Surprised to have an exercise area for the dogs to have a run around and play.
Well prepared with signs and sanitiser in the toilet/shower blocks.
Would definitely recommend booking, we’ll be going again.

Lovely clean site. Very open but but with sheltered areas around the edges. Facilities spotless. Staff friendly and helpful. Weather happened to be fab.
All attractions eg Wells or Holkham are a drive away. Adults only but dog friendly.
Will visit again. £18 pn including ehu for high season, excellent price.

Adult only, quiet site. Very open. We were on a sloping pitch right in the middle of the site but we booked late so we're lucky to get anything.
Showers and loos fine. Pleasant welcome from owners. Site felt a bit 'cliquey' as a lot if people seemed to visit regularly and know each other and were sociable, however there was no noise at night and everyone seemed really friendly and helpful. I think it's a reflection on how nice the site is that it has its regular visitors.
Great location and would stay again.

Visited on end of May Bank Holiday. Previous reviewers have commented on the high standards of cleanliness on this site and it is spotless.
Yes, there is no big modern shower block but what it does have is very clean and well kept. It is a quiet site with TV and laundry rooms and waste disposal points. A lot of pitches have EHU.
The is a gentle slope to the site which is kept in near perfect condition without any grass cuttings and nice country views. It has a large dog run which is also well looked after. I would have no hesitation in visiting again.
If you want a relaxing child free site then this will take some beating!
