We had a really enjoyable weekend here in August. This is a very well maintained site. Clean showers, toilets and washing up facilities. Nice and quiet (except for the crows!) Well placed for trips out to Cromer & Great Yarmouth. Just booking now for a stay later in the year. Recomended!

My partner and I stayed at the Rickels site for a week in July 2007. We stayed in a friend’s small touring caravan, which is stored on site. The toilets were always very clean and even though there was only two showers in the women’s toilets as the site is small, I never had to queue for a shower. The showers were free and always hot. We didn’t use the TV room but only because when we went in there was already some people in there watching something else. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer and iron, which can all be used for a fee in the washing room. We found the facilities adequate. The site has now become a childfree site, which suited us just fine. We like to lie in and we were able to without children waking us up. There was some sort of factory behind us and they had a compressor, which woke me up one morning. Wells Next the Sea and Hunstanton are only about 12 miles away and there is plenty nearby to see and do with some lovely villages and local pubs to eat and drink in. The owners were friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable holiday and we would go back again.

Good site, well located for touring west Norfolk. Those rooks need something doing to them at 4:30 in the morning. The one major draw back for us now, is that they are now refusing lets to families with children under 18 years old. 'Adult only' park.

July 2003 Just off the junction of two B roads in NW Norfolk, this quiet rural site provides easy access to the coast for those who dislike the crowded noisy sites on the coast. Well shielded by trees on the south side and affording good views across fields to the west. Flat field for tents, gently sloped field for caravans. Children's play area; and dog walk. Don't be surprised if the hundreds of crows in the nearby wood wake you up at dawn!

June 2003 Quiet, well looked after and run site had a free choice of pitch(!); very clean facilities. Free showers, TV room (a real bonus for when it poured during packing) and plenty of local info on offer. It was a windy site though (the only sheltered pitches were on a slope)and the few of us in the tent field all bent numerous pegs on the literally terra firma! Play park OK, but really set up for over fives. Most people were regular returners, and easy to see why with the peace and quiet environment.
