Its got to be one of the best camping/caravanning sites in cornwall, the toilets are very clean, the staff are very helpful. Fishing the lakes is a must!

The site was very quiet when we visited. Their was plenty of space between pitches, and the hardstandings was large enough to put our caravan and car on.

There are washing up sinks dotted around the site, the fresh water standpipes are on the hook up posts.

So if you are looking for a quiet site with very helpful owners, and great fishing, visit perran springs.

Once again a fantastic site, toilets were great and clean.

Site got to be 10/10 and so easy to Travel to lots of places.

Shop stocked well See you 2011 well done.

Major point plenty of room between units to laze about in.

This is a good family site with time to talk and listen to each other without a clubhouse.

Love the way the site goes quiet at 10pm except for laughter and whispering and the odd snore.

As for the area then it really is good Perranporth

Only a short distance (Fish and Chips) and ice cream and walk along the front.

Fishing looked great but not a fisherman but saw plenty of catches

Nice site about 5 miles from Newquay. Arrived and checked in fine although the young couple behind the desk didn't know where are pitch was so had to radio another lady to show us where to go. Pitch was large, grassy and level but quite open to all sides so no real privacy from neighbouring tents.

In the ladies there are 4 free showers, unable to regulate water temperature and on one occasion it almost stripped the skin off me! (site was quiet but still had to queue on 2 occasions), 2 private washbasins, about 6 normal basins and plenty of toilets, only 1 hand drier, a 20p hair drier (free socket on the wall too). Similar in the mens too according to hubby!

Laundry with washing machine and tumble drier and iron (locked at 10pm).

The site is in a small village with a Londis supermarket and a pub. Very disappointed that there was only a bus service into Newquay till 6pm at night (according to site owner). Was given a taxi number by owner of what she thought to be the cheapest taxi (Doreens door to door) and was quoted £20 into Newquay! Rand another firm from Newquay and got it for £12. So be careful who you book with.

Overall a nice site which apparently is going to allow dogs from 2012.

Would possibly visit again, although may try to find a site on a proper bus route to make evenings out rather cheaper

Just back from a lovely week at Perran Springs. It is a small well kept campsite within easy reach of all the attractions in Cornwall. We used the beaches at Perranporth and Newquay. Although they were busy, they were clean and well patrolled by lifeguards. Perranporth is very family friendly. Good value places to eat and all the cheesy seaside trappings without any of the sleazier stuff.

The campsite has good sized pitches so you are not on top of your neighbour. The toilets are clean, but be warned, there is only one toilet block, so it can be a bit of a wander in the night.

Laundry facilities are very clean. They use self dosing machines so no need to bring washing powder and softener and there is no messy powder drawer to contend with. Can get a bit busy late afternoon.

The showers were very nice. Each one has a private changing area with a bench to sit on. My only slight niggle was that on wet days the changing areas could get a little muddy and only seemed to be cleaned once a day after the morning rush. A quick mop round at night would be appreciated. This is however me being picky as the general level of cleanliness was impressive.

Large Dishwashing sinks were well placed around the campsite. My husband did comment that these would benefit from a roof as he got quite wet washing up in the rain.

Another thing we loved was that the site was pet free.

The shop was very basic but there was a good camping shop on the road between Perranporth and St Agnes that we used when our camping light decided to stop working.

Local food recommendations: Perran Dairy, Griffs Grill and the Cove in Perranporth and the Meadery in St Agnes

Stayed here for a week whilst travelling the UK.

The shower facilities and toilets are very clean, the showers are free and we never had to wait to use them.

There is a small shop on site which is very well priced, selling essentials such as bread, milk, bacon, cereal etc, plus a few camping items and fishing tackle and bait.

The pitches are very flat, with some hard standings, although we opted for a grass pitch. All pitches are maintained very well.

There is a small play area for children, but also a recreation field to play football.

We didn't fish, but there are three nice lakes to walk around.

The site is very friendly and close to Perranporth beach. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a family holiday in Cornwall.

Arrived at Perran Springs to a warm welcome, we were shown to our pitch and given lots of useful information about the site and the area. We were on the pitch next to the laundry room and toilet/shower blocks. The pitch was massive, the biggest pitch we have ever had.

The site is lovely and clean, well laid out and the facilities were kept clean.

The toilets were cleaned every day, there are 4 showers and we never had to wait for a shower. As previously stated, the showers are push button and the water stays on for approx 6 secs. This didn't bother me at all, the water was lovely and hot all the time.

Being next to the toilet block we obviously encountered a bit of people traffic in the mornings and evenings, this didn't really bother us though as after 11pm the site was quiet.

The shop on site sells basis stuff but we were happy to be able to buy a pint of milk and biscuits in the mornings. There is a londis nearby which is very expensive. There is a co-op in Perranporth which is 10 mins drive. The nearest big supermarket is Morrisons which is in Newquay.

We had a delicious meal in the Braefel Inn Pub which is attached to Perran Quay Touring Park. They were doing 2 steak dinners for £16. We also had a great meal in the Waterfront Pub in Perranporth. The steak was lovely.

We spent most of the time on Perranporth Beach. The car park next to the beach gets packed very early in the morning. I would suggest parking in the field next to the Co-op, you only pay £4 for the whole day. The rate gets cheaper later on in the day. The campsite was ideal for getting into Perranporth.

Can't wait to go again next year.

Hadn't made a booking, saw the site from the road as we were passing.

The pitches are of a good size and are kept tidy and are fairly flat. All with electric hookup.

Slight road noise.

On site shop selling very basic items only.

Fishing lake and walk ways. Very pretty site.

There is a pub approx 10 minutes walk away from the site.

Perranporth is approx 15 minutes drive away. Has a lovely beach, very clean. Plenty of shops and places to eat.

As the previous reviewer stated - the showers are push button timers with around a 6 seconds time out only. Which does drive you round the bend!

On site launderette with ironing facilities.

Would maybe use again - but only for a short stay.

Stayed here in what turned out to be a dry, sunny and warm week. Booked grass pitch but when we got there was given a hard standing pitch at no extra cost to us as grass was boggy from all the rain. Owners friendly and helpful.
Road noise can be heard but only really bad in the morning and evening rush hour.
Toilets and showers very clean, but be warned the showers are push button and they only stay on for 5 seconds this is enough to drive the most calm person insane (and I'm not that calm in the first place.)
shop selling basic items and if closed you just have to go knock on owners door and they will open up for you.
Perranporth with pubs shops and takeaways approx 5-10 minutes drive.

The site is the best we have ever stayed at. We have been twice. In our own tent last year and this year in a Super Eurotent. The Super Eurotent is so well equipped, it leaves nothing to chance. The toilet and showers are immaculate. There are hot and cold water stations for washing up and

Drinking water all around the site within short walking distance. The grounds are well maintained at all times. The lakes are also well maintained

And fishing is a joy. The added pleasure is - No Pets! The owners will do anything to make your stay trouble free. No effort is too much!

First visit here, not disappointed. Level ample size pitch. Helpful friendly staff, who work hard. The place is spotless, showers ( free )and toilets always clean. Free ice block freezing service available.Location central to many attractions in Cornwall. Peaceful park, a busy road runs alongside the camp, but noise is not an issue. Many good pubs within a very short distance, Perranporth beach is stunning, and the seals in Newquay harbour are well worth a visit. Hope to return again.
