We went down to this site for the first week in August. We knew it was going to rain for the first two days, but when we got to site, it was clear that although they had drainage they didn't have enough!

The first pitch they put us on was boggy and after asking to be moved (as site was not busy) we were moved onto the pitch next to the first. I think the main problem was that this side was next to the fishing lakes.

The showers only worked for about 10 seconds and then you had to push them again. Was warm water and good pressure but having the water keep stopping was annoying. The toilets and showers were very clean, tidy and modern. Only one night when there was no hot water for a while, but site got it sorted quickly.

The shop stocked a good variety of goods, we found it to be slightly expensive though.

The first few nights the site was very quiet after 10. It was only the last few days when there were lots of kids shouting and being noisy that bothered us, this went on until 11:45 one night.

The area is fantastic and we would visit it again. Easy to access all parts of Cornwall and the local attractions.

What a great site. Plenty of free hot showers, each with its own little private changing area. Very clean. A small shop on site. Free to freeze your own freezer blocks. Very peaceful here. No dogs allowed here which added to the peace and quiet. Also no noise after 10pm. Large pitches. Plenty of hookups.

We had a lot of rain but the site seemed pretty well drained considering how much rain we had. Owners always seemed to be available and seemed to really care about the site and their customers. I would recommend this site to all my friends and I will be booking up again in a few weeks.

We couldn't make our minds up where to go this year, luckily we picked Perran Springs.

The site has some hard standings and our pitch also come fitted with taps, lights and electic.

The campsite is very flat with great countryside views and not too far from Perranporth beach.

The wildlife on the site is amazing, we saw some kingfishers, moorhens and a fox, plus a few ducks.

However, we mainly went for their fishing lakes, we fished on two lakes (they have three in total) and we always caught - mainly carp around 5lb to 10lbs. We also saw a few big fish swimming around, but couldn't catch these!

The shower facilities are spotless and I can see why they have won awards for them. The best I have seen on a campsite / holiday park in all the years I've been camping.

The owners are very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay very special.

We didn't really go off the site too much, as we fished most of the time, but they are very central and close to the local beach and not too far from Newquay or Truro. We will be going back this year again.

Once again fantastic. Weather was poor but still got a tan and made the best of it. Camp facilities were as usual very good and people friendly as for the owners very caring and thoughtful. The site itself is quiet and very clean the toilets were always clean and the shop well stocked of basics.

An excellent site going this year as well

We stayed on this park for our first holiday in Cornwall during mid August, despite the really bad weather this year we had a really enjoyable stay.

Yes, it rained, but we were met by friendly faces in the shop each day and a cheerful hello from Brenda. The toilets and showers were top notch and spotlessly clean. The showers were hot whenever we used them and the air freshener made a pleasant change from other parks we have stayed at.
With excellent walks around the fishing lakes and my children still enjoyed the play area, even with their muddy wellies and rain coats.
Looking forward to another visit, next time hopefully with some sunshine!

This site is amazing, no club, no pool, no noise, no dogs, absolutely perfect! We have three children aged 17, 15 and 10, all of whom love to come here. This is the third time we have visited, the staff are friendly and welcoming and remember you from year to year, the site is amazingly clean and have deservedly won best loo awards more than once.
The shower/toilet blocks are always clean, it rained almost every day we were there and the toilets were never muddy or dirty, well done! And hot water is always available, with showers that are great.

The main attraction for our family is the fishing which has improved year on year. My husband son and daughter enjoyed fabulous and fruitful fishing on several occasions this year.

The site is generally level, with electric hook up and there are washing up sinks conveniently placed throughout the park. Most with hot water. There is an adventure play area and space for ball games. The site is well laid out with plenty of space between pitches.

Their website is informative and useful. With links to what is happening locally, the site is about 5 mins drive from Perranporth and 15 mins from Truro, where there are several supermarkets.

If you want a quiet and peaceful holiday this is the spot. I would recommend over and over again.

Well done to Mike, Andrew and Brenda and thanks again for another great holiday, in spite of the weather!

We have just returned from this site after spending two glorious weeks there. Yes we did have some rain but this is England!

The site is so peaceful and relaxing. It is early in the season so there weren't that many units on site. The pitches are large and there is plenty of space given between units so that you are not overcrowded or boxed in.

The toilets and showers are excellent and well deserved the 'Loo of the year' award. We didn't use the laundrette but it was clean and had modern equipment.

We are not fishing people but the lakes are good for a relaxing walk as is the nature trail. Ducks are also present on site and do ask to be fed! There are plenty of things to see and do in the local area. A good pub serving food is only a five minute walk away, beaches in Perranporth are excellent, there is also Newquay, Tintagel & Boscastle close by. In fact all the major attractions of Cornwall are with one and a half hours of the park.

Mike & Brenda are really friendly and always had to time to stop for a chat. We will be going back again in the not too distant future.

Stayed in a very nice holiday home, with great views of the countryside from the living room window.

Site wasn't busy this time of year which suited us just right.

Great fishing lakes onsite, and found we didn't need to leave the holiday park much during our stay as it was so peaceful on the site. Great walk around the lakes and in the nature reserve just below the holiday park.

Facilities include a very clean shower block, shop, laundry and play area. Plus 3 fishing lakes.

A pub is a 5 minute walk away and the beach is about 5 minutes in the car.

Have stayed on this site in the past, and will visit again very shortly.

We have just returned from here and are pleased to say we can't wait to go back!  We all had a fantastic week.  The toilets and showers were very clean and there are plenty of them. Everyone was nicely spaced out.  As this is not a large site and with no fancy entertainment, all the children (whatever the age) mixed well leading to a good atmosphere.  The staff were always friendly and helpful.  This is a lovely area of Cornwall and very central for all the major tourist attractions.

Great site, great pitch, great weather! Really friendly staff on reception and very helpful.

We nearly didn't camp here because of the comments about limited shower units. We never had an issue all week. The other thing that looked daunting on the website was the map. It looked massive, but reality is a 2-3 min walk to the toilets and shower block, that was from a pitch near the lakes.

The regular water points and washing up points dotted around the site are a real asset. Only one thing worse than washing up the dishes is having to queue to wash the dishes! This just is not an issue at this site.

Playground leaves a lot to be desired. More a simple climbing frame, but having said that it kept my 7 year old busy during the week.

We love Perranporth beach and have friends that live less than 2miles away from the site - so location is great.
