A great site - our first choice for visiting Cornwall. We are always given a warm welcome by Paul and Louise. A really excellent site, all the facilities are immaculate and the grounds are kept beautifully. Great to see the new dog walk. Paul always seems to have added something new to the site every time we go.
Great location too. You would never guess you are so close to Redruth and all its facilities. Easy to get to other places too. Close to Tesco supermarket and Penrose Camping and Caravanning at Scorrier, for those bits and pieces you may have forgotten. The nearest beach is at Pothtowan, about 3-4 miles away.
Keep up the good work, Paul, Louise and the team!

Had another great holiday here. This year was busier than last year but everything was excellent - immaculate grounds, toilet blocks always clean and didn't have to queue once, laundry facilities, bar and the food. Some lovely walks from the site with plenty of blackberries to pick. Paul, Louise and the team do a great job and nothing is too much trouble. Just wish it wasn't so far from home but we will be back next summer.

This is an excellent site with stunning scenery and in the perfect place to visit places all over Cornwall. From the first moment we stepped foot onto Globe vale we were made feel welcome by Louise and Paul, they have been very kind and helpful friendly people, the other staff we have met have been polite and helpful. Our caravan was stored here to begin with until a seasonal pitch became available. Before moving the caravan onto the pitch it was washed to an excellent standard and also the wheels etc were serviced. The facilities and second to none, the toilet and shower block is kept impeccability clean as is the rest of the site. We look forward to many happy years In such a lovely place.

Spent 9 nights on a fully serviced pitch, backing on to open fields with lovely views. Considering we visited in the school holidays, it was nice and quiet in our area. The pitch was a little tight to fit our van, awning and car on, but position the van on the edge of the pitch and they all fit. There wasn't a lot of grass around our pitch but there are plenty of large grassed areas for the kids to play on. There is also a good play area for them with slides, trim trail, swings and seesaw.
The on site pub is cosy but has lots of outdoor undercover seating and has a take away menu.
Toilets for the fully serviced area are a large portacabin building and is very clean and modern with 3 showers in both male/female plus a disabled WC and laundry. The showers have fixed heads and are push button, which our young daughter doesn't like. Fortunately, there is a family wet room with sink, toilet and shower with removable head and adjustable temperature which was excellent.
No site wifi, but the reception/info area had a wired broadband connection for a laptop.
There is an old tin mine just a short walk from the site down a quiet road and a Tesco in Redruth is a few minutes drive away. The site was perfectly placed for us to access the north and south Cornwall coasts and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay.

We usually stay with family when in this area, however this time we decided to take the caravan down. We stayed at this site as it was close to the family.
We had a fully serviced pitch which was the first time we ever used one. The pitch was hard standing and nice and level. The staff were friendly and the toilets and showers were nice and clean.
The on site bar/restaurant was open in the evenings for food and drink, however not on Sundays.
As we had a dog with us we made use of the dog exercise field which was great to have. There were walks leading directly from the campsite as well although we did not make much use of them as we were visiting family and walking our dogs with theirs.
The only bad thing I would say about the site is that the pitches are quite small in size. We could only just fit our caravan, porch awning and car side by side. Once they were in place there wasn't really any space for anything else.
All in all though, it was a good site and we could have parked the car in the parking area if we needed the extra space.
Would I go back there? Yes.

Very clean and tidy site. We had a fully serviced pitch which was spotless and plenty of room. The pitch was level and well maintained. Showers and toilets were immaculate anytime day or night. Had a greeting off owner when arrived to which gave me a guided tour to show me where everything was and our pitch location. Cant comment on shop, bar ir restaurant as weren't open on time of visit. Childrens play area look good and safe. Site in great location for days out such as lands end, st ives, penzance great places a must visit. Tesco only 10 minutes away which is good if forgotten anything. Had such a lovely weekend we booking to go August bank holiday. Highly recommended

An excellent site, in a good position for cycling the interesting mining trails. Our pitch was fully serviced, flat and with plenty of room for our outfit and awning. However, some of the serviced pitches were much bigger than others - something to bear in mind when booking. It is clear that the owners take a pride in the upkeep of the site. It is immaculate. The shower block is exceptionally clean and there are good pot washing and laundry facilities. The shop is open during the school summer holidays, and the bar was due to close altogether in mid September, having been open Thursday to Saturday for the first two weekends in September.
We would definitely recommend this site and would return.

We only use this site now, Paul and Louise and all of the staff are the most friendly and helpful people you could wish to meet. The toilets and showers are spotless, as is the site. A small shop has now opened with very reasonable prices also the restaurant has excellent home cooked food, with very generous portions. We have made some good friends at this site.
