Stayed at Globe Vale for 13 Nights at the beginning of August and thought the site was excellent. We really liked the layout of the camp, it housed plenty of tents and caravans but didn't feel too cramped and the Owners and staff were really friendly and helpful. The on site pub was a bonus too, really good food with a take away option and the pub was never too crowded or busy.

The toilets / showers and cleaning facilities were kept in exceptional condition and were regularly cleaned.

I would highly recommend this site.

Fantastic, clean site. Pitches are quite large. Facilities are always clean. Didn't use playground, as our son is now too old to use. The food in the restaurant was fab. Staf were always pleasant and helpful. My only one suggestion would be a dog bin near the entrance to the dog walk. Wish we lived nearer and then we could come back often.

A large group of us had a 2 night stay for a Surf Lifesaving Competition at Portreath. Campsite location very convenient; 10 mins to beach.

Owners were very helpful when booking & upon arrival. Explained very clearly where recycling points were & where to freeze ice blocks overnight. We stayed in Meadow A which was extremely tidy, beautifully mown grass & pitches generously spaced.

The ladies (can't comment on the men's!) 2 x showers & 3 x toilets closest to us were immaculate and seemed new (portacabin set up). Water was lovely & warm & ran at a good pressure. My only citicism is that they could have done with twice the amount to prevent the queueing even to use the basins.

I can't comment on the restaurant facilities as we BBQ'd both nights.

All our kids (ages 5-13) loved the very sturdily built play area!

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the site or return ourselves.

This is a first class site.

The very friendly and helpful owners clearly take great pride in the high standards they achieve.

The site is conveniently located being a few minutes drive from the A30 but far enough to have no road noise. Redruth is nearby with the usual selection of shops and other facilities.

The touring area has nice views over farmland and it is good for wildlife - it is very quiet. The pitches are spacious and clearly marked with plenty of water points. The layout is a field with pitches around the outside which is good for families as it gives children space to play but they can still be seen from caravans/tents.

This is a site we will definitely return to.

Great site, great location, great people. I don't know why I'm leaving this as the campsite is that good I want to keep it to myself! The cleanliness will raise your own standards. Friendly bar with good well priced wholesome food. Great views, walks and local facilities. There is even a ski centre in walking distance!

See you there, we'll be there again and again!

Came here at very short notice due to terrible service at another park in st ives.

Reception was wonderful from the moment we arrived, tired and frazzled. Friendly welcome and informative tour of the site given. Fully serviced hard standing pitches are huge and flat with lovely views across the valley.

Brand new looking toilets, separate area to clean wetsuits, big camping field with more toilets.

Near enough to the A30 to make touring Cornwall easy but far enough away for it to be silent.

Plenty of walking and cycling opportunities.

Beaches within a couple of miles.

We will definitely return on our next trip to the pointy end.

Great site and great staff, booking very easy, checked in very fast and all information given that we needed. Choice of grass and hard standings, toilets and. Showers very high standard and always clean.

Plenty of places to visit or sit and enjoy the stunning views.

Plenty of walks for the dog and indeed all the family

Another visit to this fantastic site, although the weather was extremely unkind.

The site really is a credit to the owners, the site and toilets are immaculate at all times.

Reasonably priced, small bar on site, good quick access to the A30 if touring around Cornwall.

Definitely a must if you're thinking of visiting Cornwall any time of the year.

We turned up a bit early here but were still met with a smile and taken to our hardstanding pitch in the fully serviced pitching area. This area must be very popular as all the hardstandings were full - most of them were seasonal pitches though. EHU, water and waste on each pitch and there are grass pitches (with the same facilities) available in this area. There are 2 or 3 more separate camping areas also on site (one was being used for a rally at the time we were staying on site).

Small, central and very, very clean toilet block with 3 showers, 4 toilets (one with a sink) and 3 sinks. I always seemed to have them all to myself! There are family rooms also available. Dustbins and recycling nearby and an indoor washing up area too.

The information room is packed with ideas and leaflets and had a broadband connection for your use (free). They have recently had Wi-Fi installed and currently you get 2 hours a day (from the time you log on) but it's only available in certain 'hot spots' (inside the information room and bar area).

There is a small bar/restaurant on site run by nice, friendly staff who live on site. Unfortunately it was the end of their season when we stayed so the choice of both food and drinks was limited to whatever was left over! Mind you, the lasagne we had was lovely so we were happy campers!

The Coast to Coast cycle track (to Portreath or Devoran) is just across the road from the site. We biked into Portreath - very bumpy track

And some quiet(ish) roads to be negotiated but pleasant. It was uphill most of the way back though (ask my legs!). The Wheal Peevor tin mines are a 5 minute stroll away from the site - worth a wander around too.

A nice quiet site.

I visited this campsite and it is quiet and family friendly. We had a serviced pitch this time but the facilities were close by. The toilets/washing facilities are excellent.

They are immaculate and the water pressure is very good and the showers are hot not luke warm as in most other campsites I have visited. They have family rooms/disabled facilities with ample space for washing young ones.

There is an area for washing wetsuits etc, so no sand in the showers. The campsite has a small bar where you can play pool and darts and a play area outside. The bar also does food eat in and takeaway, but I did not sample this time.

The owners and staff are very friendly and showed us to our pitch and made sure the pitch was adequate as we had an awning approx 10 mtrs with 2 annexes. A wave acknowledgement was always exchanged when entering/exiting site which I thought was a nice personal touch.

The site is just off A30 Redruth and close to Porthtowan, Portreath, and favourites of ours Godrevy Point and Gwithian beaches. I also noticed the cycle track just outside the campsite so will be taking our bikes next time we stay!
