Slightly inauspicious start. Received a phone call the morning we were due to arrive advising we could not park our RV on the site because of wet ground. We were already halfway there. Fortunately my brother was staying in the static caravan and was able to sort out a solution. This was actually fantastic as we were put in a spot 10 feet from the static. It did make for quiet a stressful few hours.
However, once we were on site and set up we had the most fabulous time. It helped that the weather at Easter was sensational but the site itself was lovely
Facilities block was new, of a very high standard and very clean. The children's play area was adequate although my daughter spent most of her time looking after and walking the owners dog, Ringo. 3 weeks later she still 'misses Ringo'! We didn't use the facilities on the linked sites so cannot comment. The pool was closed though.
We hired a car for the week so were able to get around and travelled into Weymouth, Lyme Regis, Bridport, Abbotsbury. All are lovely places to visit and we have a very soft spot for Lyme Regis.
We would highly recommend Sea Barn; we had a lovely time and would definitely think about returning.

Myself, wife and dog stayed here 3 nights from 31 August.
Views were amazing, even in bad weather. Good selection of tent location is essential, remember to pitch higher up the field to ensure the best view from the tent and from your seat.
I've read people moaning about the rule book handed out. These are common sense and to ensure everyone has a good time. If people moan, they probably shouldn't be at the site.
Site is quite small and easy to walk around. Not far to walk to the shower block. There are two blocks with showers/toilet/washing area on site, a new one near the entrance and an old one 1 minute along the road further into the campsite. New one is lovely but the old is still fine and the shower pressure was stronger in the old block so I wouldn't discount using it! Despite the shop not being open very long, the toilets are cleaned several times throughout the day and were always clean when we used them.
Camp shop is useful although from Sep onwards is only open 90 mins in the morning and same in the evening so you might miss a crucial shop. Be prepared!
Never had problem with noise from other people.
As a dog owner, the only negative is they do not have a run around area. All across the site and all the farm walks dogs must be on the lead. I can understand the reason for this in case of cattle being in the field or near the bird nature reserve/nesting ground but in fields not being used this seems a little extreme. Saying this we did see a large deer in two fields on the first night and 2 smaller deer in another field the next night and plenty of bunnies.
We visited the on site bar / entertainment place one evening. It is probably great for families.
I'd definitely recommend it, the views are breathtaking from Sea Barn Farm.

Lovely quiet site - despite the thunderstorm!
Yes there are notices but this is a working farm and their livelihood.
Reception was friendly and welcoming.
Loads of space, no grass cuttings and amazing views and sunsets
Walk along to Moonfleet hotel, lovely coffee and home made choc chip cookies for less than Starbucks - far nicer!
Weymouth very touristy, go to Lyme Regis, Charmouth and West Bay - far prettier.
A lovely stay in an unexplored part of the country!

Just returned from weekend at Sea Barn and felt quite strongly that I wanted to post a review ASAP. Probably one of the best sites ever been on. The views are stunning, the whole site is well kept and both shower blocks are spotlessly clean. The older one is obviously not as good as the newer one but is perfectly adequate. The sunset was amazing. Is really nice to find site with mostly tents instead of loads of caravans. Did the farm walk which was lovely. Went into Weymouth using the park and ride which at £3. 00 for the car is fantastic value. Beach is gorgeous. Basically would recommend this site to anyone looking for peace and quiet, stunning views, walking and clean facilities close to Weymouth.

Me and my husband decided to camp here for 2 nights in sept to try our new smaller weekend tent out.
We arrived weds afternoon about 1 and the shop was closed and there was no one around to advise us, we stood there looking around and then had a drive round the site to look for a suitable pitch, then came back to the shop, a guy came along who was staying there and he said to pitch where we liked and pay when the shop was open, we had our eye on the lovely little stretch of grass just behind the shop with a totally uninterrupted view down to the sea ( gorgeous ) as it was also very near the lovely and clean and plentiful toilets, showers and bathrooms ( which I was very impressed with ) also a lovely clean laundry room with payable washing machines driers and a free iron and points for phone charging etc. We stayed the first night and it was great, the site is lovely, stunning views from most places, lovely horses and cows nearby and a great little park if you have children. But do not make the mistake we did and pitch behind the shop lol the wind was atrocious, the next afternoon we had to take the tent down as we were convinced it was going to break/rip, so we packed it all away and decided we were going to sleep in the car as we wanted to stay another night, we'd paid for 2. Sadly I was ill and we had to come home that evening but we watched a very stunning sunset from the top of the site before leaving. The only bad thing I can say is no one was there to advise us or see us at all the time we were there, they left a note on our car window to tell us to go to the payphone next to the shop to make a payment but no correspondence what so ever, I would definitely go back again but choose a more sheltered pitch. Very lovely site

Cannot argue that the views are quite stunning, and the walks from the campsite are equally enjoyable. We camped here for two (very windy) nights in September and couldn't fault the site itself. Well laid out large pitches, cut grass (no clippings which is a bonus) and the best toilet and shower block ever! Mind the sensor/timer on the shower could be more generous so as to save having to repeatedly press it to get water. Some of the pitches looked to be quite sloping so not great if you get one of these. The reception is open for just a few hours morning and afternoon, and to be frank the staff were just doing what they had too. We were handed a sheet with details of the site, mostly what not to do, it would have been nice to have been told where the water. Chemical disposal points were, just felt very impersonal. When I booked we were told our pitch would be posted on the door if reception was shut, but not to worry if we wanted to take an alternative pitch. Which we did, however the reception lady on the day, told us to move as they don't want Motorhomes on the inside pitches, because of the rain! We had to move!
Quite a remote site and if like us you had a Motorhome you have no alternative but to use it to go anywhere, the site is more suited to those who may just want to chill out, or have a car. That all said we would visit again, just take some walking boots and enjoy the views.

Lovely peaceful place, stunning views from front pitches. If you like walking like us then this is the place to go. You can walk for miles.
Use the new shower block as its much nicer and bigger shower cubical space for your clothes towel etc.
West fleet camp site is only a short walk away if you want to use the pool or get an evening meal. Food was quite good pub food.
The down side of this site for us, was the woman in the shop. Everytime we went in there she was playing online bingo or on personal phone calls and would make you wait til she was finished which was sometimes a couple of minutes. Sorry customers should always come first and when she did engage with you she was quiet short in her manner. Come on Seabarn sort this out for once and all.
Don't let the woman in the shop put you off as the views are second too none anywhere we have stayed in the world.

We camped at Sea Barn for 4 nights in the middle of August and had a wonderful time. The campsite is excellent with fantastic views over The Fleet. The staff in the Reception were not grumpy and welcomed us warmly, even though we were booking in early. We camped nearer to the old Toilet Block to get the beautiful views over the Fleet and there is absolutely nothing wrong with them! They were spotlessly clean and functional and the water was piping hot. My teenage step-daughter ventured up to the new block and said they were lovely, but I chose to stay with the old block as there was nothing wrong with them. We are definitely looking forward to returning to this marvellous campsite in the future.

We spent 6 nights at Sea Barn Farm during August with our 6 year old and 3 year old boys and had a lovely time. It's a great site with lots of plus points. Most notable was the cleanliness of the toilet and shower facilities. It was busy when we stayed but the facilities were clean virtually all of the time. We noticed that the cleaners were on site probably 4 times a day! And they were friendly too!
Of course I also have to mention the views - fantastic! And wonderful sunsets. You can't see the views from all parts of the site but this was OK. The pitches with views were the windiest! There were plenty of sheltered areas which provided respite on breezy/windy days and also some shelter from the sun when it was hot (which it was for us several times!)
The access to facilities at the sister site, West Fleet, were great too. We didn't make it to the pool until the last day as we were busy exploring the surrounding area but I wish we'd gone sooner! The food in the bar was also good, but a little bit pricey in my opinion. Very convenient though if you didn't fancy cooking.
The site reception and shop were also in the same place and the system meant that the staff member on check-in was often much busier than the one on shop - I'm sure they could organise that better to avoid queues! But it was only a small issue. I was also surprised there was no freezer for ice packs. But you can hire them daily for 25p an exchange, which I actually found to be quite an effective system after I got over my disappointment of there being no freezer!
All in all, a great site for a great family holiday.
