This site is tidy, has a clean and warm toilet block with showers and washing machines, washing up facilities and tumble dryers. It has a lovely indoor swimming pool and heated outdoor one (if you are brave enough).

We found that this site seems to be more appropriate to touring caravans than tents. There is one field for tents which seemed to be a bit crowded so we were placed on the corner of the caravan pitches right next to the gravel road with car tyres and footsteps cruching past all the time. They didn't have any water on site when we arrived and after the first day no hot water for the showers, washing up due to a gas leak and no gas delivery until the monday morning. I managed to sneak into the new male changing rooms for the pool which were furnished with electric, and therefore hot, showers.

There was also a lot of constuction work going on at the back of the site involving pneumatic drills and mini diggers - this work went on throughout the weekend.

My main moan for this campsite and the reason we will not be going back, is that after paying a slighly above average pitch price we then had to pay 20pence for 3 1/2 minutes for the showers, £2 to use the jacuzzi, and extra to pay for use of the sauna or steam room.

If you have a caravan and they are not doing any building work then it is a lovely quiet site. Just be prepared to pay more for your shower!

This is the second time I have stayed at this excellent camp site with my children, and they are already asking me when they can go again!

The leisure facilities are brilliant, and we made full use of the tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, steam room and sauna etc. The kids had fun in the play area, and was I able to relax with a cider or two knowing they were safe!

The site itself is clean, friendly and well-run, and the owners were more than happy to help.

Toilets, showers and washing up facilities were spotless.

If you are looking for peaceful surroundings, with bar and leisure facilities on site - I strongly recommend you give South Hants Country Club a try!

When cold showers reported to the owners all they could say that the boiler couldn't keep up with the demand.

Plus you has to pay 20p for the priviledge.

Saying that it is a really good site with excellent facilities and very family friendly. Let down by the cold showers and no privacy (just a flimsy small shower curtain to protect your modesty)

I came with my friend, her children and my daughter and her friend, we came at the end of half term for 4 nights. We had rain on the first day and the saturday night otherwise it was nice.

The pitches were quite small compared to what we get in France, it was very quiet with plenty of space. There are quite a few hard standing pitches which have been left to detereorate and spoil the look of the place.
The toilet block was kept lovely and clean, tennis was free and french boule, also a volleyball court. The childrens playground was ok. The pool was very clean and open in the evening, although the weather was not that warm in the evening.
The bar prices for drinks were very good, with bar meals, a tv and you could play darts. They sold ice cream during the day and evening. There was no on site shop but over the road at the garage was a local shop which was very well stocked.
We went into Portsmouth and the spinnaker tower and a lovely chinese buffet near by. There is also a outlet centre there as well, with car park near by.
Our kids spent hours in the pools, on the last day we hired the sauna and steam room which was good, the jacussi was cold when we were there. We had a good time and the site is in the country but not that far from Portsmouth. The owners are helpful.
The birds start there dawn chours very early. All that needs to be done is to sort out the unsightly hard standing pitches, there are great facilites there and the setting is great.

Myself and my 4 children have just arrived back home after spending a fantastic time at the South Hants Country Club. Please note that this is no longer a naturist park as it is still advertised on old search engines.

Alan and his lovely wife Dorothy along with their very friendly and helpful staff made our stay there enjoyable. The showers and toilets were spotless, as were the swimming pools. A bit cold in April to try the outdoor pool but will be booking today to go back to try it out at a later date.

This site is about a 10 min drive to Portsmouth, where you can visit the historical dock yard and Spinniker Tower at Gunwharf Quays, yet you feel you are a million miles away as it is so peaceful.

My two children and I have just spent a fantastic five days in our caravan at The South Hants Country Club. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by Alan and his wife Dorothy who were more than happy to help out in any way. My friends and I were offered any pitch in the spacious field, where we chose the top near the spotlessly clean toilet and wash block. Here, there are washing machines and tumbles to use as well as dishwashing sinks.

These are not the only toilets on site as a new shower and toilet block is currently being built which adjoin the swimming pools. I understand that this will be completed by the weekend so will enhance the pools considerably. The kids spent their entire time in the warm indoor pool complete with jacuzzi - infact, they had the pool to themselves on many occassions. We were able to purchase a drink from the bar and relax while they enjoyed themselves. For those who want a more active time, there is a running machine, cross trainer, cycly and rowing machine just before the pool so I was able to watch them as I exercised.

My friends and I played tennis (racquets and balls available to hire from bar) and the kids enjoyed playing in the kids park.

Overall, I have spent a very relaxing, enjoyable time at this park and would definitely recommend it. I will be returning in the summer months to make more use of the indoor and outdoor pool. This site is a 'gem'.

My wife and I returned home on the 7th January after a 10 day stay at this site, (our forth visit in the past 18 months), and it just gets better and better. It was good to see that the men and ladies toilets and showers have been converted to separate cubicals, and that the long awaited site direction signs are now in place. We have stayed at numerous sites over the years, but can say that this one is by far our favourite. On our first and most recent visits we used our tourer and we were impressed by the spaciousness of the plots which made manoeuvring into position simple. During our two other visits we hired one of their 2 bed lodges which we found to be very clean and comfortable, and superbly fitted out with everything we could wish for inc an en suite.

A great site, set in a beautiful part of the UK, and managed by a very friendly and helpful couple, Alan and Dorothy.

The Best of the Best.

On arrival we had a warm welcome from the owner. The pitches are of good size and as it was out of season, there was a lot of choice. Although warned the outdoor pool was now unheated, our two young boys were still determined to try it, they lasted approximately 42 seconds before moving quickly into the indoor pool which like the outdoor was extremely clean but much warmer. My friend and I were a little surprised however to find that the changing room for the pool was unisex after walking in on a gentleman!
The camp toilets and showers were very clean and warm, 20p gave you more than enough time for a shower and hair wash, and whilst curtains would be a bonus, we in fact saw no-one else in there.
I cannot comment on the washing up facilities as we normally do it in the caravan, and freshwater was only a couple of yards away. TV reception was strong enough for our digi box to pick up over 80 channels.
There are no signposts to the camp but searching on livelocal.Com and google earth, you can easily see the route. There is a small post office / shop within a 5 minute walk. I like the idea of the electric barrier at the entrance to the site providing extra security.

We will be returning again to this quiet and friendly site.

My son and myself stayed on this site for two weekends in a row. I have to say, it is so far the best site we have ever stayed on. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools are lovely, and the tennis courts are brilliant too. The toilet/showers are kept lovely and clean, and are cleaned every morning. The ladies showers are all into together, so even if your not a swimmer, be sure to take a swim suit so you can use the showers with piece of mind. The bar on site is very nice, and the drinks are priced reasonable. The couple who run the site are a lovely couple, and will very much make you feel welcome. We only found this site this month, and will definitely be spending a lot more weekends away there in the future.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of August, and though it was hard to find with no signposts, we were impressed with the site, its cleanliness and the pools. This was the first site we've used with individual water and drainage for each pitch so that was very convenient and worth the cost of £25 a night.
However when we inspected the site more closely and found the communial changing area and showers for the pool, then found the ladies showers in the toilet block were single sex but still communal! And that we had to pay for the privilege of sharing an open shower with complete strangers, we soon changed our minds about the site.
Then having arrived on a Sunday we were told the club and pool shut at 7pm! This seemed very early considering we were now well into the school holidays and paying peak season prices for staying here.
I understand that the site is run by new owners and we found the staff very friendly, but shower curtains or dividers for the changing areas should not be too much of an expense and I certainly wouldn't have stayed there had I been warned before on the site's website. I would however gladly stay again once such improvements have been made.
