We visited this campsite over the bank holiday and had a fantastic stay. The site is not too formal which meant a very laid back feel which suited us down to the ground. The crowning glory of this site is the owner who runs it. He is welcoming, accommodating and just a lovely guy. It seems nothing is too much trouble. He helped us find beaches that were good for the kids, leant us extension cables and popped in to check everyone was ok (without making anyone feel he was checking up on them) he was even spotted singing round the communal fire pit one night.
Kids ran around the field, played with neighbouring kids and had a great time.
Met a few regular visitors who loved it.
New toilet block was lovely but cannot comment on showers as we soap dodged all weekend choosing to sheep dip the kids on our return to London.
We will definitely go back.

Beautiful site. Toilets clean and fresh, showers hot, site clean. A warm welcome and a lot of smiling faces. We found this site central for the whole of norfolk, eg Wells, norwich, the broads, yarmouth and many more places of interest. There is a large tesco about a mile and a half away. So in all we had a great time and a welcoming stay. I personally rate this site highly

My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the bunkhouses for the weekend we were initially sceptical about staying in bunk beds. However, the beds and accommodation were very comfortable. Although families were present and the site was at full capacity the site was rural and quiet making for an ideal getaway from city life and each pitch had ample space. Fellow campers were friendly and we made new friends at the sunshine café. Clive and his family were very friendly creating a comfortable community feel. On site toilet/shower facilities were clean. We do not drive but a bus stop around 1. 5 miles away offered regular transport to tourist attractions such as Cromer. The surrounding area offered walks through beautiful forests and countryside and plenty of cycle trails. We were able to hire canoes within walking distance and paddled into the broads at Wroxham. I recommend a good pair of wellies to anyone visiting the site as many areas off site were waterlogged.

Very cramped and not for us. Didn't stay in the end as it wasn't the tranquil view of fields we were looking for. However area is clean and tidy and pods looked lovely. Lots of caravans on separate field which had lovely views. Friendly staff and quiet area with no roads surrounding the site. Communal firepit but no others I could see. Nice site just not for us. Hopefully will find somewhere more suitable!

We have just returned from another short stay in a bunkhouse/camping hut at Top Farm, again we were taken aback by the peacefulness of the rural location. The bunkhouses have been moved to the ‘camping’ field providing lovely views over open fields and woodland. Once again the facilities were nice and clean and in full working order.
We thoroughly enjoyed using the new ‘Sunrise café’ in this area of the site, great for BBQs (in slightly rainy weather!) we even roasted marshmallows over the fire…that we had made ourselves in the fire pit!
This site is in a great location for exploring the coast and the broads and we found lots of new places to visit to suit our interests. We really enjoyed the Bure Valley railway and Broads boat trip, I also had an opportunity to explore the local cycling routes where I was lucky enough to spot a deer and its fawn on the track.
Again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning as soon as we can.

Lets get straight to the bones - the toilet and shower block. Toilets consists of what looks like a fairly new build with ladies and gents and separate disabled toilet in the same building. The loos were good and were modern and clean - although one nice camper left me a little message to flush away! Strangely enough the disable loo was the place you went to get all the local tourist info - (you know all the leaflets in the rack). The showers however do not fare so well consisting of a fairly old construction with two unisex showers which were not of the highest quality (and costs £1 for a six minute shower),. They were however roomy (room for two if you want to double up), hot, powerful enough and clean but look well used if you know what I mean! They also had the old wooden rack to stand on when you got out. The timer on the shower also tends to make the shower a stressful event because you never know if you are going to run out of time! This is an unusual site because it appears to have a large quantity of permanently sited caravans - some even with decking, gardens and large green storage bins for their stuff! I think it serves as a storage site for caravans as well.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner, a very friendly chap who insisted on showing us to our pitch and give us a grand tour of the facilities - he then relieved us of £37 for a two night stay (inc 4 Shower tokens at a quid each), so a bit pricey for what it is. It's a nice secluded site with plenty of walks for the doggies and their owners. Would I go again? Probably. But only if Deers Glade was full as in this case.

We have recently returned from a week long stay at this site, our second visit of the year. I can only re-iterate my previous positive comments in my review of May 2012. There was a little confusion to start with as to where we were pitching but this was soon sorted and we pitched in the identical spot as before with the wonderful views and this time with electric hook up, so we were on the end of the caravans and motorhomes. I believe that the owner is planning to put electricity in the actual separate tent field as currently the available EHU to tourers/campers is quite limited so I would definitely advise booking in peak periods if you require this.
The owners are always very helpful and check that all is well during your stay without being in your face. The site is very rural, peaceful and relaxing with clean facilities. Occupants of the permanent pitches, some were resident, others coming and going during the week, were all extremely friendly. On top of all this, we had fantastic weather all week!
This time we went on the railway between Holt and Sheringham with the dogs -one way by steam and returned on the diesel; well worth a trip.

What a great site….
We stayed here recently with our young daughter, and from the very start of our stay we were made very welcome by owners (Clive and Evelyn). On arrival Clive showed us around the facilities and then on to our home for the next 4 nights, one of the new bunk houses, a perfect introduction to camping for our 17 month old.
The bunk house had a bunk bed and plenty of space for the travel cot; inside we also had mains power along with a kettle and microwave. One of the big pluses for the bunk houses was the insulation, not only did this ensure the bunk house was nice and warm at night, but also provided a fair amount of sound insulation. Perfect for our little one to sleep peacefully whilst we enjoyed a glass of wine and chatted outside on the decked area, whilst also insulating the sounds of our toddler’s singing and talking at 6am which we’re sure our neighbours appreciated!
Speaking of neighbours, I can honestly say that I’ve never been to a friendlier campsite, we felt really welcomed by both the regulars and first timers like us. We appreciated the space on the campsite, definitely not a site where everyone is crammed in and on top of each other.
The facilities were excellent and very clean (possibly the cleanest we’ve encountered at a campsite), the communal fridge and freezer was very useful and the showers were nice and hot almost instantly (no forced cold showers, as we’ve experienced at a couple of campsites in the past).
The campsite is surrounded by beautiful countryside and there is much wildlife to be spotted including owls along with glorious sunsets. There is a lot to do locally and we enjoyed a leisurely bike ride to Wroxham, a steam train ride and a very peaceful canoe paddle down the Bure. After a short car journey our daughter thoroughly enjoyed her first beach trip to Overstrand (a lovely uncommercialised sandy beach).
In summary we had a fantastic break and we look forward to our next visit…what a gem!

We've just reluctantly returned from this lovely site and will definitely be returning.
We were very warmly welcomed and shown around all the facilities by Clive, the lovely site owner. He led us to a fabulous pitch overlooking a sweeping meadow.
The site advertises its peace and quiet and it certainly lived up to our expectations. We had great opportunity to unwind.
The facilities were spotlessly clean whenever we used them and we felt that a lot of thought had gone into the planning of the site, with lots of nice touches. The pitches were level and well draining (even after all the recent rain, ours was not at all soft).
If you have dogs, this is a very welcoming site with acres of meadow and woodland for walks (with thoughtfully situated benches and poo bins at intervals). There is also a great dog friendly beach at Holkham about 30 mins drive away.
Lots of bird and wildlife such as bunnies and swifts, as well as a fabulous pair of barn owls. I spend a lovely half hour watching one hunting over the meadow just beyond our pitch.
Whilst this didn't effect us as we only have a small van, there is a very narrow unmade road leading up to the farm - this might be tricky for very large outfits. Having said that, there were plenty of larger vans there, so it can't be too difficult!

Recently stayed on this site. What a gem!
Beautifully maintained site, very peaceful and quiet. The owners were very friendly and helpful and never too far away if you needed anything.
We were very grateful of the free fridge and freezer which boosted our cool box in the hot weather. The barn owl box was a amazing and our daughter loved the crocodile and the tyre swing.
We loved the walks direct from the site too. We will definitely be going back some time soon.
