We stayed here for the bank holiday weekend. The site was busy but we did not feel overcrowded. The loos and showers were very clean. There is a charge of £1.00 for a six minute shower. The site was well drained. The owner was very helpful showed us to our pitch and made helpful suggestions about where to pitch. We also noticed that he moved the picnic benches placed round the site so that people in tents had a table and chairs to use. A dog got loose from a caravan was caught by the son in law of owner and taken to a run. No hassle to the people it belonged to, but removed for its safety and that of other campers. Lots of fields for children to play in and walks from the site. Downside. Several caravans are fixtures but this was not a problem for us, some were not occupied. One group were a bit noisy but got the message after a few people asked them to quiet down. We will be going back hopefully in the spring.
May 2004 Stayed at this site for May Bank Holiday. The site itself is small yet busy and you are sure of a friendly welcome. The pitches are a good size and the grass is well maintained and drained. Some wonderful views across the countryside (the site is on a hill). The site is quiet although there is no problem with children enjoying themselves. No site shop but a post office cum village store is about 2 mins drive away. Showers were exceptionally clean as were the toilets (toilets could do with updating though). The site fees are per person (family of 5 was £9.50 per night) and the owner was very relaxed about arrival and departure times (we left at 4.30pm). Only downside was that there were only 2 showers and they cost £1 for 6 minutes (token). With a large family, showering is expensive (we managed to shower one child and one adult with one token without hurrying). Having said that we never had to queue for a shower or toilets so don't let this put you off. It is a wonderful site and just the place to go for a relaxing weekend in the Norfolk countryside.
The approach road to the site is a narrow farm track but easily passable if care is taken.
We will definitely be returning in future.
